Went there with my family and ordered the Veg and Chicken Thalis. Must say was delighted to have it. The owner Ashok is very friendly and makes you feel at home right away. in fact, he remembered our choices when we visited again to have the Goat meat Dum Biryani. Absolutely fantastic authentic Indian food. We tried this spot on a whim a couple of months ago and we were blown away. This is the best Indian food my husband and I have had in the states. We live about 45 minutes away, have a toddler, and have managed to eat here about five times total. The quality of the food has been excellent every time. The service is also great. The owner is lovely and has been very good to us and our little one. Our personal favorites are the butter chicken, butter naan, and anything from the tandoor. We catered vegeterian dinner including appetizers on June 15 from Bloom Bawarchi for a party of 250 people. Appetizers were Gobi Manchurian, and Paneer Chilli and dinner included three punjabi veg entrees, naan, veg bryani, and carrot halwa. All items were excellent and our guests made many positive comments about food. Based on a recommendation of a friend, we went for tasting the food a couple of times before deciding on this restaurant. We have been here twice now for South Indian specialties. The first time we stopped when we were passing through, and the second time we made a special trip from Champaign! The vadai are perfectly crispy. We had previously had great dosa, gunpowder idly, and gobi 65; last night we tried vegetable kothu parotta, which was new to me. Leftovers were amazing the next morning with scrambled eggs. Americans may not be familiar with Indian buttermilk, but you should definitely get it--it has fresh ginger and cilantro and is a savory yogurty drink: dispel connotations with the American English "buttermilk." We saw its transition from Bloom Bawarachi to Bloom Bawarachi V 2.0, we were excited about this V 2.0, but with very heavy heart I have to say it might be newer but definitely NOT better. They increased the price for each and every item by 2-3$, some of their appetizer are even costlier then Biaggis menu. Their alu gobi comes with all alu and very few gobi, Shrimp biriyani will be only garnished with few shrimp rest of the plate/packet will be filled with rice, I ordered their chicken biriyani, and this is the first time I had to throw my food, chicken pieces was under cooked and soggy. All these item I order last Sunday 11/5. This is hands down the best Indian food I've eaten. I've lived in Europe, traveled all over the United States and it is in Bloomington Illinois. We were in town from Chicagoland area and needed to get a late lunch. After we decided on having Indian food, we decided to try Bloom Bawarchi. We were so happy that we made this choice. This was the best Indian food we have ever had. Wow! The butter chicken was so flavorful, with all the combination of spices just right. We also had the goat thali and the chicken thali, both of which were phenomenal. Our only disappointment is that we weren't going to be staying longer so that we could go back and try more of the options on the menu.
