Did I not know how to contact one of the urgent care clinics (I did see after that they had these but not open til 1pm). Did I not know that I could get Azo at any drug store? From what I understand this is just to help with the discomfort but doesn't exactly treat anything. Maybe she was having a bad day. I don't know. But I wonder why people go into this line of work if they just diminish your reason for being there?

They have cancelled 2 appointments now, one of which was cancelled the day of. The second they called the day after they cancelled the first to cancel that as well. They then scheduled him for over a month after his surgeries. After calling and telling them (who has his chart mind you) about why he was sent there, they said he needed to go to the ER BEFORE they would see him. Seriously? Now we need ungodly coats of an er visit before a Dr will see us? So, they haven't even seen him yet and have given garbage quality of care and equally crappy service. Reviews from the last year on Google show patients 20, 30 and 50+ years are running for the hills due to how far this place has declined. Due yourselves a favor and don't even bother.

I was told that there were no appts avail at either the Cordata or Lynden location until late Mar. I asked what people were supposed to do about Rx when appts were not avail for mns out and was told that the only option was to go to urgent care at one of their 2 bldgs I asked if they had any telehealth options and was told no, that I had to wait for an appt to go in or go to urgent care.I was assigned a dr and an appt was made for Mar. I told her that was going to be too late still so she gave me info about the urgent care locations and advised that Lynden tends to be a little bit less busy so that would be the better option. She said they accept walk-ins until 5:00. A couple of days later. I drove to the Lynden location and arrived at 4:30. There are two grumpy girls at the front, but the one to the far right is definitely the worst. When I told her I was there for urgent care, she asked me about my insurance, and very arrogantly dismissed me saying they don't take my insurance there. I told her that was strange because I had been directed to come here specifically by the peace health rep I talked . Rudy she just repeated they don't take my insurance at the Lynden location, and that I would have to go to their Cordata location. I asked what the difference was if it's the same entity, and she said that it's a new bldg. I let her know that I didn't understand what the new construction has to do with it but that's it's frustrating to drive 30 min for nothing. I then asked her if this location doesn't take my insurance then why was I assigned a Dr at this Lynden location. Rolling her eyes, she asked who my doctor was. When I told her Wang, she said that the dts at their location take my ins but not the urgent care. I told her that I didn't understand, and she retorted that It's a different dept and their urgent care doesn't take my insurance so I would need to go to their urgent care at Cordata. Then she said that they stopped taking patients at 4:15 , well depending on how many people are there (which the place was empty), so in either case she wouldn't be able to hellp. This girl could hardly make the effort to even look up at me while speaking, and when she did, it was all dirty looks- I mean blatant disdain and smugness on her face I don't actually think it was personal, I just get the feeling that this is just how she treats people in general. I was concerned about my appt so I asked her to double check that it was still on for Marc, seeing as how there seems to be some confusion as to whether they take my insurance at their bldg or not. She said yes, that it was confirmed and I asked if there was anything sooner. Begrudgingly she typed it in and as it turned out there were a lot of appts avail even the very next wk, so not sure why I was told mns over the ph. As frustrated as I was, I'm just trying to get my rx refilled so I booked an appt for the next wk. My appt was for 2:20, and unfortunately due to an accident from the sudden rainstorm that hit, I arrived at 2:31. Without hesitation, that same girl, and I quote, cocked her head and said, "yeahhhhh 13 minutes late, reschedule!" She said they have a no exception 10-minute policy. I literally got there at 2: 31 and that this was my second time coming down. I pretty much begged if they can go ask the doctor, She stomps off to the back and came back in with that same arrogant attitude and said, "yup, reschedule!" Okay I get it, things happen, the weather and traffic accidents aren't their fault, they don't want to bend over a minute, but dang, it's the the condescending tone and facial expressions that are just downright gross. The two times that I've been there, I've never seen that girl even remotely crack a smile or soften her face, except for when this male coworker comes by, I think he might sit behind her, then she's all giggles, but when she turns back around to look at you, she's got that dead face and attitude. All in all, I have not yet experienced the doctors or nurse care so I can't comment much on that. All I can say is that the people on the ph booking appts either don't have it together or are intentionally giving you bad info about appt availability, and urgent care info but worse, check-in will make you feel at best, like an inconvenience, but moreover without dignity. It's truly been an uncomfortable and degrading experience dealing with this location. Customer service is dead a lot of the time these days and I don't expect much, but this is bad bad, even with very lowest of expectations.

After asking me a couple of questions, he diagnosed me very quickly. He knew immediately where it hurts and what movement induces pain and what doesn't. I found it very easy to ask him questions. His responses are always to the point. After 40 years of practice in family medicine, Dr. Gavereski is retiring soon (his retirement celebration is set for mid July). I'm glad that I was able to thank him today for his service.

I've never written a Yelp review, but after reading the last review I felt compelled to write of my experience because it is a world away from what that person experienced. I don't think the fact that you weren't married or had previous children was a reason for being turned away, but I do know that Dr. Shapiro has been full for years. I, myself, came to see her as a lesbian who had 4 children through donor insemination and she was always fine with it. Over my years with her she has been super attentive to all of my concerns and has seen me through some mental health crises/suicide attempt, caring for my very aged mother, the suicide of my son, and most recently, my transitioning to male. Although she's never had a trans patient before, she has taken over prescribing my hormone therapy and has been instrumental in getting me the letters I've needed for gender affirming surgery. I am beyond grateful for the years I've had with her and dread the day she retires (which I know is no longer on the distant horizon). I don't really think she needs any 5 star reviews since as I mentioned her practice is full, but I felt I had to offer a counter opinion to the individual that felt they were turned away because of having an "alternative" (?) lifestyle.
