My issue isn't with the flowers. I have requested to be removed from their automatic "someone has a special occasion coming up so please order more flowers" letters. I had ordered a 50th anniversary bouquet for my parents. 20 days later my mother died. Every September, I get the reminder. YEARS ago I asked, in person, to be removed from this mailing list. Every year since that request, my letters come to "My name, no correspondence please." My father died a month ago. Guess what came in the mail yesterday? My request obviously made it to someone's attention--how else how could my mail be thus addressed? This lack of attention to customer requests only has served to rub salt into the wounds of my loss. I have not had occasion to send flowers recently but will not again give them my business when I do. I ordered two arrangements for a funeral and was deeply disappointed with one of the arrangements. I sent a follow-up email to the owners and received no response. I will never order from this company again. Beware if you are ordering for a funeral, especially out-of-town, you have no idea what your loved ones will end up with...this is a portion of the email I sent: Good afternoon, I had two sets of flowers sent to _ funeral at _ Church a few weeks ago and I just wanted to write about my extreme disappointment with one of the flower arrangements. The second flower arrangement that I sent was the "Peaceful White" basket. I was called ahead of time that they did not have any white lilies (the same was done for my first order but it at least it was doable) and would do something in lieu of them. In truth the arrangement had some white carnations (not even close to the picture) and some other small flower that wilted by the time the service started, and in all honesty was almost all greenery. I was so embarrassed by the flowers - I live out of town and had to get back on the road right away or I would have come in. I am not sure because I ordered from out of town if something was thrown together thinking I would never see them or if it was because the service was on the north part of town but really I cannot even fathom how that arrangement left your store. I hired Blossom Basket for my wedding flowers. The person I met with initially was Carla, and she was very professional and experienced. She was patient and helpful as I struggled to figure out my flower design. The second time I went in, I was paired with a different employee. She was young, and perhaps inexperienced, but also very difficult to work with. She didn't like any of my ideas and just didn't seem to want to work with me to find a solution if my ideas weren't going to work. She was rude and short with me at times. For the final consultation, I made sure to request Carla, and all was right with the world! Blossom basket is an outstanding florist for whatever occasion. We were from out of town and had to plan a last minute wedding on a tight budget, not enough funds to hire a florist. So, we were off to the many craft stores to buy the parts and make our own. Getting the fresh flowers was easy at Blossom. More importantly, they were very helpful in giving us tips on how to do it! We visited some other florists and they wouldn't hear about it. Blossom had some beautiful arrangements that weren't that expensive considering the quality. Ordered flowers on line for the birth of a baby. Ordered in plenty of time per their website for the flowers to be delivered that day to the local hospital.. Received confirmation from their site that order would in fact be delivered that day. Received a polite email three hours later explaining that they were too busy to deliver the flowers that day but would happily make the delivery two days later. At the time of the email telling me they wouldn't make the delivery, the store would be open for two more hours, the hospital is local .....not my idea of customer service. Seriously too busy to fill the order, be careful if you need flowers delivered timely. read more
