please google how to get from täsch to bern? there is a four hour driving route and a two hour route! what's the difference? one says this route includes a car transport! what does that even mean??? let's take the shorter route, regardless! lo and behold, it's a car train transport! even though it's a first for me, everything went seamlessly. just follow the car in front, drive through the payment booth, part with chf28 per vehicle and paper loading and safety instructions will be dished out together with your ticket. continue on to the next available train and just drive onto it! it can feel like a narrow squeeze depending on the size of your vehicle, a test of your driving skills. just drive slowly and follow the vehicle in front. remember not to cross onto the next carriage unless there's space for all four wheels ahead. when finally in position, secure your vehicle, sit back and relax. it was a good break from the drive that started in täsch. get ready for photos and videos as the ride begins ala theme parks! just make sure you familiarize yourself with the safety instructions whilst you wait for your car train adventure to begin. definitely a new experience and one that I recommend! enjoy traversing through the tunnel that cuts travel time by half! swiss engineering and technology at its best coupled with good old choo choo train! before long, you are across. great scenery awaits as you clear the tunnel too! and you'll even recognize the lake oeschinen area on the other side, if you had visited it prior. else it's a great stop that i highly recommend!
