Ive been here twice and love that i have a burrito spot close to where i live. Sometimes its hard to find a good burrito depending on where you reside. Luckily Long Beach has many options across the city, but Blue Burro stands out well for the likes of me. I went in taking into account my day and got two items to take home. I went with the carne asada burrito that was really good and packed well with guacamole and salsa fresca. I added some salsa verde to every bite, and it came out fantastic. They certainly make a good one there for any burrito you want. Later on, i had the carne asada fries and they were melted beautifully with cheese and had plenty of guacamole. I forgot that it came with Cotija and sour cream but they barely put much into it. Perhaps they read my vibe when i walked in. The fries were crunchy and it was a very filling dinner. Went here afterwork with my boyfriend. We were greeted warmly by the cashier as soon as we entered the restaurant. Her energy was infectious. It was nice having her suggest different sauces to try with my order and even after we placed our food order she made sure to check on us and make sure we continued to have everything we needed. Dry, crusty, and fighting for its life. The eggs were actually decent (shoutout to them for showing up), but the chorizo? No flavor, no sear, no personality. The kind of chorizo that would make Alton Brown pause, sigh, and quietly leave the kitchen. Swapped the hashbrowns for fries and received approximately 10 fries. Not a typo. TEN. I've dropped more fries between the seat and center console. The green salsa was the only hero here--I poured it on like I was trying to put out a fire. And somehow... the burrito was still dry. Terrible experience. I called in to pick up a surf a turf quesadilla. I spoke with Valeria R. I repeated the order twice on the phone to make sure everything was going to be correct as I always do. When I arrived to pick up my order Valeria repeated the order as a shrimp quesadilla and I corrected her that it was a surf turf quesadilla. She corrected herself as well and mentioned nothing about imputing the wrong order. I get home to find out that the order was wrong and on the top of everything I only got 3 shrimps in my quesadilla. It's clean and has lots of tables and seating. We were greeted upon arrival and there was no line, so our order was taken immediately. We ordered campechana fries, surf and turf taco, and carne asada taco. For a drink, I ordered a strawberry aguas frescas. The campechana fries were really good. It's a pretty large sized portion that was split between two people. And even then, there were leftovers and we both were full. I both tacos but they're not the best I've ever had and they were pretty pricey as well. The strawberry aguas frescas was too sweet. If I go back, I'd try another drink. read more

Randomly discovered this place while looking for food on my tragically short lunch break one day + it's been the only thing I eat for lunch now (when I'm in the area). For being prepared so quickly, everything is amazingly fresh + yummy. I've had a few of the burritos, but the Blue's Famous Rolled Tacos are something I haven't been able to say "No" to. This location was easy to find, plenty of parking and the inside was clean. Everything on the menu looked good. I got the 3 rolled tacos. They were really good. A little small but good for the price. The staff is nice and there was plenty of seating inside. My only disappointment was there was barely any guacamole on the taquitos. I had to dig around to find it and when I did It looked like half a teaspoon spread thin on the top. I couldn't taste it and would have never known there was any if I didn't look for it. There was such a small amount it looked like it might have fell on it by mistake instead of a purposeful part of the dish. If you there is so little you can't even taste it what's the point.
