I've been a fan of Blue Coast Burrito since moving to Nashville in 2013, and I think I've tried all their locations. This one is clean, spacious, and has plenty of parking, with both indoor and outdoor seating! The staff are friendly. If you're a salsa or sauce lover, this is my favorite spot for a true saucy/salsa bowl. I always make my own version of a Cabo Bowl (usually with black beans, spicy shredded chicken, guac, and all the veggies and toppings I want) and then hit up their salsa bar for a little of everything. Today, their lettuce was not looking fresh, but they offered me some romaine instead and I felt like their guac has went downhill. However, the salsas are what keep me coming back - the Mild Salsa is classic, the Pineapple Salsa is a sweet-tangy vibe (I especially crave in the summer), the Salsa Baja has a rich, roasted flavor, and the spicy Salsa Roja adds some spice/heat. I also add a side of their dill ranch for a creamy addition. I basically turn my bowl into a messy, saucy, basically soupy delight every time, (weird, I know, LOL)!! Their chips are light, crispy, and salted just right. And I always get their Baja fruit tea, I feel like it's not too sweet, but also just right! If you haven't checked them out yet, you really should. And there are so many other options besides my intense bowl. On our way to the Predators game, my daughter told me that we're going to stop to pick up something to eat. She said that I'd like it and that it was one of my granddaughters favorite places. She said it's called Glucose Burrito. Glucose Burrito I said? What are they made out of, candy? She laughed big time. No dad, not Glucose, Blue Coast!! LOL, I guess I'm hearing different these days. When we entered "Blue Coast" it was completely void of customers. Not a patron in sight. Perfect for us cause we were running late. Not so perfect for the owners, I'm guessing. We walked to the counter to order. You tell the person what you want, and they pile it onto a tortilla and fold it up. You can see the ingredients in their warming trays, and as you move on down the counter, they ask you if you want this or that. I chose this when maybe I should have chosen that. This was ok, but that may have been tastier. Very few of the ingredients looked appetizing. I stuck pretty much to the non meat offerings. I did, however, have a smidgen of pork, and that was the this. I probably should have ordered the that, which would have been just veggies. With few customers in the place, the food wasn't turned over fast enough, and it became stagnant and unappealing to the eye. If it doesn't look good, it probably isn't. In this case, it didn't, and it wasn't. The rice and guacamole were good, as were the chips. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Oh, the Preds won 6-3. Quick Tip: Peak inside before you choose to stay and eat. If it's busy, you may get what you're paying for. If you hear crickets, keep your wad in the pocket and make tracks. read more

It wasn't busy and no one seemed concerned with cleaning it up or the cleanliness of the food prep area. The taste was bland also. What a fantastic experience at Blue Coast Burrito today! I have not been back to one of these restaurants in years until today and I had a fantastic experience. I have never been to this location in Franklin either. I previously frequented the Smyrna or Hendersonville locations due to where I was with work sometimes. I am a vegetarian and sometimes hard to please! I ask a ton of questions and expect good customer service with my responses and I don't always get that some places. Today; the staff was very helpful with helping me remember what it was I used to order based on my description! Amazing customer service! I had the peasant plate and it was delicious. My wife and I were curious about Blue Coast Burrito and stopped in for lunch. Its a bright, cheery place and its a good thing before that we showed up before the lunch crowd. You order at the counter and take your meal back to your table yourself. The menu is fairly limited. Blue Coast is kinda like a Subway that serves sorta Mexican food. When I ordered, under Main Ingredients there's "Carnitas...it's pulled pork!". So, I ordered those carnitas to build a pork burrito. Although of the ingredients that I really needed weren't listed, there might be enough for a decent pretty good pork burrito. Ha! Instead of the pork carnitas that were ordered, they sold me some slightly spicy shredded chicken. Wonderful. My smart wife ordered chicken for her burrito plus lots of menu items at the counter- just like she does at Subway. she said what it was a pretty good sandwich after she added some of their really hot sauce. The food that I had at Blue Coast Burrito may not have been authentic Mexican or even Tex Mex, but it was a nice, filling lunch.It may not have been what I ordered, but at the low price that I paid, I'm not complaining. I gotta say this place has gone down hill over the years. We moved out of state for a few years and recently moved back. I was going forward to hitting B.C. again.. tell HAD the best fish tacos in the world. It was out opinion that everything we had was better at Moe's except the guacamole which was much better. The people are super friendly and the service was prompt. The store was very clean and even smelled clean. The food was all at proper temperature and attended to. All in all, a good experience, but given the choice, I prefer Moe's. read more
