Even before they moved, they started slacking, but since they moved the Jacked prices up by probably double and are just god awful. I have tried to go three different times after they moved and I left every single time before i ate. Bad service, bad energy and from everyone I've spoken to the food takes forever now . Came here on a Sunday for their brunch menu. The food service and ambience was amazing. The restaurant itself is pretty small so highly recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. I ordered the stuffed French toast, it was stuffed with mascarpone and chocolate chips inside absolutely amazing. Also we ordered the big ragout eggs benedict, the flavor on the meat and the homemade cornbread was some thing I haven't had, and it was absolutely incredible. to drink I ordered a mimosa which was well served, and their black coffee. My friend ordered their burger, which was interestingly served on a Portuguese muffin I had a bite of it. The meat was very flavorful blend and the Portuguese muffin was toasted to perfection, they had a variety of lunch Options too which looked very good. I would definitely return. read more

Plus they serve the regular portion, unlike others that cut corners. Everything they offer here is made with love starting with the Shrimp and Grits. Perfectly cooked, the right thickness with a hint of spice. So good. The other noteworthy item is the Corben. It's one of the best sandwiches I've had filled with super tender braised brisket served with a flavorful dipping Au Jus. For the finale, you can't go wrong with their signature Butterscotch & Heath Bar Bread. It's so savory. Just a flavor explosion with just one bite. Love coming to this place. Came for the Miami Spice Menu and will be back for the regular menu as well - extremely flavorful food that is executed well at reasonable prices (especially during Miami Spice where you get the full sized apps, entrees). I had the shrimp and grits, the oxtail, and the bread pudding. The shrimp and grits was done perfecctly - the shrimp was plump, juicy, and slightly sweet while the grits were cheesy, silky, and creamy. The creole sauce on it was an excellent touch as it was tangy, sweet, and smoky - everything together made this an amazing appetizer, but the real star of the show was oxtail. Usually when I get oxtail at other places, it's always tough and not cooked properly but not here. The oxtail was packed filled with flavor as was the potatoes, but the oxtail was tender, soft, and completely fall off the bone. This here is the BEST oxtail I've had in SoFlo. Never had a bad meal- sometimes the timing is a little relaxed but the waitstaff is always lovely and the food is always delicious. Worked our way through most things on the menu - love the not so new space, still enjoy the veggie chalkboard, miss a few of the new location menu items that didn't stick...but always enjoy our meal. Love coming to Blue collar. First time I visited I did the Blue Collar breakfast and it was delicious. They do serve a large quantity of food so the price is good Went this time with my GF and I got the Philly cheesesteak which was amazing (cost was $16). Came with hand cut fries that you could tell were fresh. More than enough food to fill you up and have you feeling stuffed when you leave. Also, I ordered a tall boy Jai Alai for $6 bucks which is a great deal for Miami. The space itself is located in front of a motel facing biscayne and there is parking on the hotel itself on NE 68th Street. The inside space is fairly small and has less tables due to Covid. But they do have about 4 picnic tables located outside. My husband and I frequent this restaurant so much so that the staff know our food and drink orders by heart. We used to go to their previous location (which was across the street from their current location). The ladies that work there are always nice. The manager/owner has always seemed like a jerk to the staff, but we never had any interaction with him so we minded our business. Last week we went once again and I made a simple request for my food. The first order they didn't not accommodate the request. We continued to eat and have drinks and ordered more food. I again made a simple request and this time not only did they not honor the request they did the COMPLETE opposite. I decided to speak with the manager who was rude and dismissive. I told him that the request was simple and the restaurant was basically empty so it was that they were too busy to fulfill the request. As I'm speaking to him the cook (not chef...cook) was yelling at the top of his lungs from the kitchen. The manager again was dismissive. We paid our bill and told him we will never return. He would rather lose customers that frequented his restaurant weekly than tell his cook to accommodate a simple request. Oh well, his loss. read more

Many places lose their charm after growing, but Blue Collar has only gotten better, and I couldn't be happier for their success. The service is always top-notch--Emma took great care of us on our last visit and made the experience even better. We had a few allergies in the group and she made everyone feel comfortable with eating there. The food is spectacular--we had the oxtails, curry goat (a *must-order* if it's on the chalkboard), latkes, cornbread, and more. Every dish was flawless, and the Heath Bar & Butterscotch Bread Pudding with spicy whipped cream was one of the best desserts I've ever had. My fiancé and I went to Blue Collar on Saturday night and we were not impressed. Service: the waitress was really nice but service was slow. We had to stop her at least 5 times if not more to ask her for things (drinks, condiments, ask for a substitution). Ambience: this is a casual restaurant but the prices on the menu did not indicate that. The other waiter kept running in the restaurant and that's not a good look. The people were waiting for a while and you can see on their faces that they were not happy waiting. Between all to-go orders and the tables in the restaurant it felt very hectic and anxious. It did not feel like a relaxing atmosphere. Food: food was not bad, but very greasy. We ordered cuban rolls and they were good but $14 for 2 tiny rolls per order the size of an index finger each will not fill you up. The rolls were good. The burger was $21 and the meat on it was good, the cheese on it tasted like cheap packaged Craft American cheese. It was served on an english muffin which was an interesting choice. We asked for brussels sprouts as a side, which were border line burned (or as the waitress said "too charred"). We asked to substitute for a side of pasta. Pasta was greasy, overloaded with sauce and tasted blend. We were really looking forward to trying this place as it was recommended for burgers. We were disappointed. We will not be back. read more

My boyfriend raved about this place the first time he brought me to his hometown - Miami, FL. After trying it I can complete agree with why he loves it so much. It's in a random location near motels but once you get in it feels cozy and welcoming. We shared two entrees. He got his favorite the big ragout on sesame and I chose the veggie platter. On the platter we picked the broccoli, caramelized brussel sprouts, curried chickpeas, and Italian artichokes. The veggies were cooked perfectly with so much flavor I didn't even know you could get out of them! Then I took a bite of the big ragout I was SHOOKETH! The meat sauce on the Big Ragout pasta is insane and the Oxtails reminded me of an incredible hole in the wall southern comfort food place back home. I cannot recommend the food here highly enough!! Blue collar. THE definition of comfort food in what is the upper east side, and if you frequent this area, then you have DEFINITELY heard about this place. They have been serving up fresh and flavorful plates since I can remember from the same old corner of the same old once upon a time motel. One of my favorite places to eat growing up on Biscayne and now it has become one of my son's favorites (if not his all time favorite atm lol). The setting is small and intimate but that is the complete opposite of the amount of flavor they put into every single dish here, even the sides. I am SO sorry. Hear this well, world; I LOVE Blue Collar's soulful comfort eats, always have, always will. It's tiny, casual, and full of character. I have it on my permanent list of tried and true favorites. There isn't a bad thing on the menu. I still love the big ragout, bacon mac & cheese, and the baby back ribs. I had a to-die-for curried cauliflower puree last time. If it's on the menu, go for it! VERY IMPORTANT: you must also leave room for dessert. This place for the win with brunch. I've been coming here since it's opening...nothing has changed in terms of quality and quantity for your buck. My partner ordered the Adam's deluxe breakfast and I ordered from the spice menu because we wanted a pancake with our order. The deluxe did not disappoint with eggs over easy, potatoes, bacon, sausage, Portuguese muffin(like an English muffin), fruit salad, and a side of grits all of which were delicious. I ordered the potato latkes for a starter, they were amazing and the homemade apple sauce served with it is to die for. Next came the Big Ragout. This eggs Benny dish is memorable and rich with favor. It was recommended by our waiter Adam and I was so glad. Enormous portion took half of it home. Last was the buttermilk and lemon zest pancake which for me was 10/10. Crisp griddle finish with a soft cake center....so good! I also love that coffee is served in a lunch box style thermos left on your table, it's a nice touch. Highly recommend a reservation for indoor seating. We arrived 3 minutes before opening. There were other folks there already waiting. We all had to sit outside, not the end of the world but I prefer indoor seating at this restaurant. I have eaten here for lunch and dinner many times in the 12 years it's been open and have always had consistent service and quality meals. Freddy was attentive, had great recommendations (our meal was sensational) and made us feel tended to but not like he was hovering. Blue Collar has been in our restaurant repertoire for a very long time since it opened across from the new place which is the Old Balans and the Puerto Rican place which name I can't remember for my life. The place has always been great in terms of everything. The staff, the food the drinks all is good at BC. Now that they have moved it's better cause now we don't have to wait for a table as long but, it is a bit noisy and don't mind the fast pace of the place. The ambiance of Blue Collar is now a bit more upscale MIMO but it still retains it's warm and inviting feel. The salads are Awesome the burgers are Great and the dinners are quite Amazing. Wow what a disappointment! We have always loved Blue Collar in the past, it had been a while since we last went and we were so excited to come back. Since our last trip they have moved across the street to a larger location (they were always packed with sometimes quite a wait-and for good reason-the food was outstanding). This new venue just isn't it. The vibe is completely different, it no longer has the homey comforting atmosphere, in fact you'd probably never know it was blue collar if you didn't see the menu. While I miss the old cozy place, it's definitely not a deal breaker for me so long as the food is good Service-NOT GOOD. Our waiter was very nice, but 75% of the time he was either nowhere in sight when we needed him or he was talking in a corner with other staff. We had to call him over to put in our order, he never checked on us after getting our entrees, didn't get refills of drinks until after we finished our entrees and the table wasn't bussed. Plates from the apps were left on the table when the entrees came and entree plates left when the dessert arrived (which was delivered by a different waiter). The manager was walking by so I had to ask him to clear the entree plates and let me say-he was not the friendliest person. No warm smile, no apology for this. Several times the waiters were all congregating together while diners sat there looking confused and annoyed. I went inside to use the restroom, unsure of which hall to turn down, I tried to get the attention of a group of waiters huddled together laughing about something and none of them either heard or noticed me asking where the restroom was. I found the restroom myself and immediately was put off by the dingy floors, dirty mirror and a sticky bathroom door I had to literally shove to get it to open. Food-very mediocre and small portions. We ordered the latkes for an app. They were fine, a bit greasy (yes I know latkes are oily) and really bland. My father in law (it was his birthday we were celebrating) got the oxtail. This was the toughest oxtails I've ever seen and so small. My FIL would've told the waiter and had them take it back, but our waiter never came back until he asked if we wanted dessert. My FIL was hungry (and at this point if we finally found the waiter we all would've been finished by the time he got a new order) so he gnawed what he could and ate the mashed potatoes Snapper was fine, not great and not bad. Salmon with tomato salad and asparagus were fine, but the sides were very small. Jambalaya was weird and NOT good. The rice was cooked separately (I've never had jambalaya that the rice and proteins were separated) , and in this case it was undercooked basmati rice. The "sauce" was chicken and shrimp in a tasteless brown sauce poured over. So far very very underwhelming, but we had high hopes about dessert. We've always loved their desserts in the past, but again what a let down. The chocolate cake tasted like it came out of a box mix and topped with Duncan Hines frosting. The heath bar bread pudding didn't have a hint of heath bar and it was so dense, super gummy and dry. You know the dessert is bad when even my toddler didn't eat either one. We used to come just for the amazing side dishes alone and even the sides were small and disappointing. Bland and unappealing. Price-we had one Diet Coke, one beer, two waters One appetizer, 4 entrees, an $8 side and one dessert (one was comp'd for my FIL's birthday) came out to $204 This was definitely not worth it and such a bummer. I try the spicy oxtail (first time eating oxtail) and was riquisimo, soft, and tasty, the sauce with the bed of mash is like bread and butter. I order also a veggie fry rice and was simple but unique I love the flavor. My husband and I were so happy with all our selections also the ribs are the bomb. I wish I have more space in my stomach but I was full just with our appetizers haha, they serve a good amount of food and you can always take it to go. Started with a delicious Albariño, paired beautifully with potato latkes and the best cornbread (?!). It was served with brown butter which made for amazing flavor and was a super moist cornbread-not an easy find! I got the lamb shank which was fall off the bone tender and the mashed potatoes and bread it was served with were carb heaven! Went recently for Miami Spice and left a bit underwhelmed. I ordered the griot which was not well seasoned but well cooked, the peas with bacon were tasty and so was the Jalapeño corn bread.
