Just purchased a new Jayco 5th wheel from Blue Compass in Fort Myers. I was a little apprehensive shopping for a new RV after reading all the negative reviews about many of the dealers in this area. Blue Compass had a lot of negative reviews also but thankfully my experience so far has been very positive. Our salesperson Nicole was great. Very nice, very knowledgeable, always available, no pressure and no BS. We told her what we wanted and she found a unit that was perfect for us. Nicole followed us through the entire process. Roy the sales manager was very good as was the finance manager. The prep manager Adam and his staff were also great to work with. His associate did the walkthrough with us and spent a good amount of time explaining everything and answering all of our questions. My wife found some cosmetic issues that we have an appointment to get fixed. They showed me how to hitch and unhitch the 5th wheel and how to level the trailer. I got the trailer home and put away without any problems. At about 7:15 that evening I received a call from Adam checking to see if I got home safely and asking how the trailer pulled with the new hitch and encouraged me to call him with any questions or concerns.We did get home safely and the ride was great. Overall our experience so far with Blue Compass has been great. Given their commitment to customer service I expect our dealings with their service team will be just as good. read more

We purchased our Jayco Eagle in 2023. we have had to fight for every service, unfortunately the staff turns over frequently so just when you think you have issues resolved you find the staff are no longer there. Zero stars isn't an option, so they get 1 star, which they don't deserve. They had our camper for 56 days, and all they managed to do was remove the windows that had come unglued from Florida's heat. We called numerous times to get an update and never got a call back. When we were promised a call back, it wasn't done. Dropping the ball is a complete understatement! Don't ever take your camper there for service because it won't be done. I waited to even write this review to calm down so I wouldn't sound so angry. If I could leave 0 stars I absolutely would. The service department is absolutely TERRIBLE. We brought out travel trailer in that we purchase from them because unfortunately we bought it during the pandemic when corners were cut and cheap materials were used.. we ended up having bad seals and water got into the RV completely rotting the wood, flooring, etc. I called every couple months to find out the status of the repairs and always got answers like "we are just waiting on one more part".. fast forward almost a year and they call us to pick it up, when I got there they said they did a thorough walk through and inspection of the camper to make sure there were not critters living in it and all repairs were done" .. I told them I wanted to walk through before leaving the lot. Thank God I did.. THEY HAD NOT EVEN TOUCHED IT!! It was still in the same condition, actually worse, than it was when we dropped it off almost a year prior. We were unfortunately out of warranty when we dropped the RV off but Bontranger Outdoors (new manufacturer for Braxton Creek) agreed to do all the repairs for free out of good faith. The service manager (Leaston) told me this was not true and he had no recollection of this..so, his service department tried to throw a $30,000 bill at us!!! Are you kidding me? Then he said he would have a talk with me about figuring out how we could get this done for cheaper. I was so burnt out with the whole thing that I almost allowed him to manipulate and gaslight me into believing I had no change and had to fork up the money.. I didn't give up though.. I tried several times to get through to Bontranger Outdoors and FINALLY got through to them and they said they knew EXACTLY who I was and HAD PROOF that they agreed to make all the repairs out of good faith FOR FREE AND they had proof that blue compass actually ordered parts for our RV for repairs yet nothing was ever done and they had no recollection of it? So you ordered parts and then wanted to charge me $30,000? What a joke. Needless to say, they are absolutely worthless and Leaston even admitted "they have been dropping the ball over the last couple of years." Bontrager Outdoors is absolutely wonderful, they drove down for Indiana to pick up our RV to drive it back and repair it and have it go through the assembly line as if it were a brand new RV AND they drove it back to us within TWO WEEKS. A whole year of laziness and BS from Blue Compass and Bontranger went above and beyond all within TWO WEEKS. Absolutely pitiful. I usually never leave bad reviews because I always like to address the issue and allow people/companies to improve but I tried that route and was proven that they lack any sort of customer service, so here I am warning anybody I possibly can. read more

However after a long search for a specific year and model of a toy hauler I located it at a blue Compass dealer in Ohio. Reluctantly I called and as previously the sales personnel were excellent They obtained photos of the trailer answered the many questions I had. I was reluctant to purchase sight unseen but they agreed if I would make a small deposit they would bring it to Ft Myers and would refund it if I chose not to purchase, The trailer was everything promised. This time delivery was also an excellent experience . Can't give zero stars. Worst customer service and professionalism EVER! Had I done my homework and researched the horrendous reviews prior to bringing in my Rv to Blue Compass, I wouldn't have learned the hard way. Over 3 months they held my brand new Jayco 5th wheel that was in for some cosmetic fixes from the factory and when they promised me a pickup time after more than 3 months and endless calls and emails and managers hiding out etc, things were still not fixed on the day of pickup. I sat at the shop another 3 hrs while they scrambled to fix some items that were on the list from months ago. Can't make this stuff up. Then their tech broke the end table at the bedside and It took them months and endless communications with Jayco to get this piece delivered. I waited so long, missed the entire rv season with my family until I finally had to leave the state and still didn't get the part in or have it repaired. I have to fix it myself and have my neighbor receive the delivery when they finally sent it. Then they lose my keys when I'm trying to finally just get my rv out of there. On and on, excuse after excuse it was never ending. I do not know how or why Jayco has this place in their network. They sold me an RV "as is" for 30k, which I put 10k down and was suppose to pay 70K TOTAL. The only way they got me to buy it was by telling me that I could pay off the principal anytime I want and save myself the interest. That was NOT true. The bank will not let me pay off my RV unless I pay the TOTAL. I tried to call Steve, the financial advisor that said "if you need anything, give me a call." Well, Steve is MIA. Anita, the one who sold me the RV, is also MIA. Both have refused to answer their phone. I will be paying $40 THOUSAND dollars more than I expected all because I was lied to. Other than the salesperson who has been responsive in trying to help us with an issue on our new 2024 Cruiser Twilight which we have used less than 2 weeks, it is almost impossible to get communication from anyone else at this location. Even before we took delivery of the unit when we were trying to get a slide topper ordered it took multiple calls and emails to get that ordered Likewise trying to arrange delivery same thing Finally after several calls we managed to get in touch with someone to help with that. The oven/air fryer in this must be a complete piece of junk. We used it less than 10 times, and then the fan would not shut off. We tried to go through the toll free number for assistance but received no real solutions. Ever since then we have no working range or oven in a brand new 40k camper. When I try to get updates I am told they do not yet have authorization to replace under warranty. Another lesson learned--the warranty seems to be good only if you can take the unit to them and since they have told me they will have to get a new sealed unit to replace the stove no clue how long I might be without it. i could go on and on about the awful experience but instead just be warned and go elsewhere read more

Salesman told us we could park the RV there in an emergency. we called and they said they don't do that. upon purchase the fridge never worked very well. The fridge gave out 3 months after owning it and so did the oven. I have a trip coming up in 2 weeks. the warranty shop is booked out for 3 months. Scheduled an appointment as AC was not working. They did an overall inspection. Technician came out and talked to us. AC was completely out of Freon, but covered under extended warranty. Found no other issues. Dropped off on a Thursday and picked up the following Monday with brand new AC. (They tried to get the AC unit overnight for a Friday install, but we were happy getting it the following Monday.) read more

Could not get the right financing on a travel trailer we had found online at the Fort Myers location. We had put a $1,000.00 dollar deposit over the phone to hold it. They processed our payment immediately. When we decided to wait and requested our $1,000.00 dollar deposit back, we were told a couple of different times it takes for them to process refunds - 2 weeks to 30 days. Spent 40 years in the retail dealership industry and refunds can be done instantly. Pretty ridiculous and we were forced to submit a chargeback which I warned we would do and never got a response. We should have known better because of their low ratings and bad reviews. When we are ready to buy, we will definitely go somewhere else. Be warned! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This place l sold us on a sham of a warranty and a camper with multiple issues. They kept the camper for 2 months after purchase to do "warranty work" and do a thorough look over. Within 1yr of having the camper we have now had 2 slides with complete water damage, a closet with water damage, awnings which do not work, inverter with wiring shortages, refrigerator with wiring shortages, pipe fittings which were over tightened and busted causing more water damage to the kitchen and bathroom. I do not recommend this business for anything. They clearly do mot so as they say and just want to move products. As a first time camper owner this situation has really put a bad impression on me. I must say camping world is working diligently to get the issues rectified for us and I could not be more appreciative. read more

We scheduled an appointment a month and half ago, and specifically asked if they do warranty work on Winnebago, which we were told yes. We travel full time, so when we scheduled our appointment, we were told we would need to remain in the area for a few weeks. So we adjusted our entire plans around making this appointment. When we arrived, the same woman from the phone, checked us in, took all our info and keys, and we walked off to go shopping. Shortly after, she called us back saying they do not do warranty work for Winnebago, and that she just found this out. She did not seem to upset by making this mistake, clearly not caring about the massive impact it has made on my wife and I. We spoke with the head of service, and he had nothing to offer us besides an apology. I can't speak for the actual service, but the people handling your account are not to be trusted due to lack of care, concern, training, and overall competence. read more

My husband was one of the lucky ones and after 3 months in the hospital in 2020/2021 with over 45 combined days on a ventilator from covid he survived, and we were grateful and blessed. Then in 2022 I was in a car accident that i received a settlement that allowed us to put money down on an RV and really start appreciating life. We searched for months and finally settled on a brand new one from RV one. There was a small problem that needed to be fixed, and some items we wanted to add to the RV. We wanted an electronic lock put on, slide covers to help insulate, a strap to hold the tv in place, detail since we just had the hurricane a few months before, etc. So, when the part came in we dropped it off January of 2023. Here is the kicker they are still working on it. I have been kind and non-confrontational, but I have documented most things. Sometime around June Blue Compass purchased RV one and let's just say the broken promises have continued along with excuses and the first 6 months are not on us. Since they have had our RV, they have ripped the vinyl, it has roaches, another leak inside, ruined my mattress, bedding and pillows and stuff, and the small repair turned out to be a manufacturer defect and items stolen or disappeared. The manufacturer has been working with me trying to help me, offering to expedite shipping of parts and they even have communication issues with both companies. We have been paying our payments every month even though we have used it twice and slept in it a total of 5 days since purchasing. We pay our insurance; we have had to pay for vacations and hotels for our 10/20-year anniversary as we still didn't have our camper. Our friends are having a great time with there's we just can't join them. There is so much more to this story, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. As we are coming up on 15 months with them, and I even let them now take it to Tampa back in December of 2023 as they say that facility is better equipped. I feel they need to restore my trailer to new and compensate me for my loss of use and money we had to pay for vacations and other stays. I also have lost most of my 3-year warranty and my first-year warranty at this time. read more

So my girlfriend purchased an RV from here roughly 6 weeks ago, first time owner. They charge a $500 prep and demo fee, when the unit was delivered it was crystal clear the unit was not "prepped" or cleaned. We went back and negotiated to get that fee refunded, they approved it. Now 6+ weeks later, we still have not received the check. We have been told multiple times that it was being overnighted, coming on multiple Friday's, blah blah blah, "corporate" hasn't cut the check yet. The definition of the "run around". I viewed a few RV's here. I liked one, but wasn't 100% sure so i put $1,000 deposit down. We ended up buying an RV from a private seller, as Blue compass would not negotiate even $1,000 on the price of the rv we liked.....which isn't the reason for my post, but worth mentioning. The reason for my post is that i have never gotten my $1,000 back and i wont be getting my $1,000 back. There explanation i was given is that they mailed me a check and someone must have cashed it fraudulently after digging through my mailbox and stealing the check. Which didn't happen. So there response to me, was to ask me to go through Bank of Americas fraud department to try and get my $1,000 back. No one stole my check from my mailbox....i have cameras all through out the front of my house and it just didnt happen. Its been months and still no return of the money i put down for deposit. Beware of this dealership! They 'oversold' us on a travel trailer too heavy for our half ton truck! We went back to the dealership before taking possession of the trailer and told them it was not a good fit for us. They said there was nothing they could do for us! We then paid to have the trailer transported 2000 miles away to our home state. We were told the date the trailer would leave Ft Myers and that it would take about 3 days for it to arrive. Over the next 16 days, we left numerous messages via voicemail and email and we received minimal response! Finally after sending an email to demand they let us know where the trailer was, they told us in an email that it would arrive in a couple days. The man that tansported the trailer finally arrived and told us he had received a call only 3 days prior saying they had a 'rush' for him. He said to us, "I think they might have forgot about you guys!". We're happy the trailer finally arrived and now have to deal with selling it. We want to highly commend Palm RV's service department! Last month we were traveling in our Jayco motorhome to Florida from Illinois when we were sideswiped by an 18-wheeler. Thankfully, the only serious damage was that we lost the passenger side mirror. Even though, Palm RV is not a Jayco dealer they worked with our RV dealer from which we bought our RV to obtain the part and serviced our RV with excellence. The cooperation and outstanding customer service was lead by Diana Wilkerson in the Service Department. She responded amazingly quickly when she was first contacted and she kept in touch over the month until we got to our stay near Palm RV and made sure everything was ready for a quick, prompt and accurate repair once we were at Palm RV. Diana demonstrated personal, caring and dedicated attention to every detail and to us as her customer. She was a delight for us to work with and we cannot compliment her highly enough! An outstanding service agent, Brian Yoder, masterminded the service on our vehicle. He even fixed several other issues we had identified that needed a professional's attention. We were very grateful and satisfied with the excellent service. All the service was accomplished in less than a day. In addition to all this outstanding service, the owner of Palm RV, Tom Wegge, also became involved and made sure that our service needs were met to perfection and came to greet us warmly while we were at Palm RV. We do not live or reside even part-time in Florida, but for those who do or for anyone who needs RV service, we highly recommend Palm RV! I've had Palm RV do paid work and extended warranty work. Clayton Blackwell in service and Marna in parts has been outstanding with all the work I've had them do. They were cheaper then camping world on three new slide out toppers and one new awning even with my good Sam discounts at camping world plus the quality of work was outstanding!! Unfortunately, I just found out that they were bought out by RV One which is a big organization like camping world so we will have to see how things go with the new ownership. read more
