That said, on NYE, advertised to go on from 7pm to 1am to ring in the new year, things went awry, then chaotic, due specifically to the actions of the owner of the restaurant. The owner turned the volume up Very Loud during the 10:45 break, and cancelled the musicians (who had a long-standing gig with them) at 11:15. We were told live entertainment until 1 am. It was almost as if the owner wanted to drive us away. Over two-thirds of the customers there at that point had NYE event tickets, and needless to say, none of us stayed after that. My spouse regretted not having her earplugs. The one person who dared ask for a partial refund (no entertainment past 10:45, advertised champagne at midnight) got kicked out with a near-physical altercation with the owner and banned by email the next day from the restaurant. A server who tried to settle things down was pushed aside by the owner and threatened with being fired. The musicians were disrespected in that while I am told they were to be paid for the entire gig, they were left cooling their heels between 11 when they wanted to start the next set and 11:15 when they were told to pack up--it was over. Nothing was said to our server who was shocked when many of us asked for our bills, and I feel that the wait staff, who tried their best, were also disrespected. I cannot recommend this restaurant again.

I liked the different textures as the lentil balls were soft and mushy, but there were crunchy chip-like things broken up and laid on top. There were also crunchy vermicelli-like things in it too. There were also chickpeas and cubed radish. It was a tiny bit spicy, but also creamy due to the yogurt. It wasn't my cup of tea, but wasn't entirely unpleasant. Maybe I should have just stuck with samosas and stuffed naan, lol, but I wanted to try something new.
