I would not recommend this company. We hired them to clean our pool on a regular schedule, but they repeatedly charged us for cleanings that never happened. There were multiple weeks where no one showed up, yet the service was still billed. When you're paying a company to maintain your pool, you expect reliability and honesty. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Communication was poor, and getting a response about missed cleanings was frustrating. If you're considering a pool service, I would strongly suggest making sure they actually show up before you commit. Paying for services that aren't performed is unacceptable. The pool cleaning is fine but the service is poor. They installed, one year ago a NEW pool heater that at present isn't working. Told us to get an electrician because no electricity was coming to heater. Turns out there is and we have to pay the electrician to boot. Now they are telling US to call the manufacturer . I gave this company so many chances. Issues include the tech leaving my pump running dry, completely skipping service, not vacuuming or cleaning the filter, not leaving any cards recapping service, and finally spilling acid on my pool deck causing damage to to paint and concrete. I call 3 times to work towards a resolution and was told each time a supervisor would be out and they never showed up. They are quite obviously struggling with attracting and retaining qualified staff and the customers are suffering as a result. I truly believe they want to do the right thing, but seem to be drowning, no pun intended. read more

I would give them ZERO stars if I could! They ruined my pool!!!! They caused permanent discoloration and equipment failure! Blue Dolphin serviced my pool for a few years. During that time we had numerous service people- most whom were not properly trained or supervised. they never cleaned the salt cell causing it to fail and need to be replaced, failed often to clean filters, or even show up! They finally divorced us when we questioned how they were treating another case of black algae- which was not the issue. They never finished the treatment or conveyed that they could/would not- just ceased coming. This is enough to never use them, but if it is not, their nasty attitude and specifically Daryl's (self proclaimed service manager) rudeness should be. He was a fountain of misinformation and when I tried to correct or question, he devolved into calling me "Honey". Yes, I corrected him which he told me was "offensive ", became more condescending, and raised his voice. I understand Blue Dolphin is for sale and this may be the reason that they cannot keep employees or that employees (Daryl) are disgruntled, or they are up for sale because management is an epic failure. I do not care! What I do care about is that they caused a permanent discoloration of my pool and equipment to fail. DO NOT USE THEM!!! read more

Since that February 2019 review, Blue Dolphin has performed well and consistently, and after the suicides of those four pumps, Thanks Be To The Great Pumpkin, we've needed no new equipment. we're happy we stayed with Blue Dolphin and expect to until the next harmonic convergence. read more

Well, we were informed today - after complaining that our pools were green and not cleaned- that we were dropped from service from Blue Dolphin. Our business depended on them cleaning the pools- but I guess service is not their forte. Disappointed that they cancelled service without any notice- but already have another company. And, we decided to cancel our home service also. I am told that they just can't keep up....per management. Sorry to Estaban - you were great to work with. read more

Have had nothing but great experiences with this company since purchasing our home 5 months ago (it's now Oct 2019). Our 'pool guy' Roger is there reliably every week and always leaves a note with chem levels and anything he needed to add. When I mistakenly thought there was a pump problem that we caused I spoke with two different guys after hours and both were extremely polite and helpful; especially great since it was my mistake. The pool always looks great! Can't speak for others but for regular maintenance I love these guys! read more

Never had a problem with their pool cleaning...but then they began scamming me. I gave them an ok to fix something they told me needed repair and would cost me less than 2 hundred. After that my pool began to loose water. Without an appointment I found someone sent by Blue Dolphin messing with all my pool equipment. He started telling me many other things he had to do that would cost me a lot more money. I was needing to have a complete remodel on the pool, so I told them I did not want any further work done at this time. i had already paid for the first repair but began getting bills ($400 plus) for something this last man charged for, that I never agreed to. This was separate from my pool cleaning service but the pool cleaner stopped coming. I had been with them 3 years, never paid late, and they had installed the new salt system and controllers they where saying did not work right. It has been over a year now and I am still receiving monthly bills from them with late fees added each month. I never made an appointment, my pool was never fixed and I never authorized this man to touch my system and refuse to pay these scam artists. I feel they purposefully broke something. read more

We've been using Blue Dolphin for too long. Every time there's a problem they say "we'll get a new guy out there", with absolutely NO results. My filters are never cleaned. They continually ignore the bottom of my pool so a yellow scum has collected. They come, do a light skimming, and leave. Try any other pool service in the area instead! read more
