The waiters are friendly, and the same guys have worked there for years, so if you're local and go there frequently they remember your name - which is always nice. The food is authentic Indian food, with a varied choice of curries on the menu. One of their starters - Prawn on Puree - is my favourite and I often order this as larger portion for my main meal, which they are always more than happy to do for me. The prices are very reasonable here, and if you like them on Facebook they'll often post print-off vouchers on their page for customer discounts and freebies. They also run deals on certain nights, where you can get 3 courses and a beer for £15. Last week when I visited, the service was abnormally slow.. And something I haven't experienced before. Granted it was a busy Friday night but maybe they were a waiter down or something. The service is usually faultless - this must have been an off night but I wouldn't like to mark them down for it. They take reservations and your table will be ready. The food is outstanding. I'm taking my daughter to England this weekend (we are from Florida) and this is literally on our agenda the weekend we get in. The food is so flavorful and delicious. I had a really excellent fish pakora to start and then one of the chef's specials as a main. The naan bread (the make or break element of a curry for me) was perfect so I was very happy. It was really busy and people were being turned away on a Thursday evening which is always a sign of good food. As a result I'd recommend booking a table in advance. You can get the metrolink to Altrincham then a taxi down to Hale or the train goes all the way there. This place really stands out from some of the samey average/poor curry houses in south Manchester.
