Went for a meal with my elderly mother and her friend (both very regular users). Prebooked return to Wakefield for a meal with early return at 8pm. Outward fine. Return When called very rude girl said they wouldn't come to Wakefield because the original driver had now finished (?!). Made my mother pay upfront via her credit card if she wanted them to come for the taxi she'd booked 2 days earlier! Also credit card charged more than outgoing journey. Absolute cowboy firm. I called for a taxi at 7am and they told me 25 minutes, it never turned up at all and when I chased it up they told me another 5 minutes. Again, it never turned up despite the fact they were told that I needed the cab for a hospital appointment at 8am. Worst taxi firm I have ever come across. The taxi finally turned up after I ran up my phone bill, it turned up at 8.03, this is more than an hour after my initial call, its gone my hospital appointment time and is way over the "25 minutes". I would strongly reccommend that anyone needing a cab should avoid these cowboys like the plague. My advice, NEVER call 01226 244444 , they are a serious headache and they don't make any effort to correct things either read more

Just used this service from wombwell to wath, a journey that usually costs £4 and was charged £8.50. I think that this is ridiculous for the mileage that was covered and i will be complaining to the office in the morning. This company was recommended to me via family and i shall make sure that i inform them of my experience. I did not complain to the driver at the time as i am a young female student who was travelling alone. read more
