I wandered in with a (guy) friend who pooh-poohed all kitchenware, and yet even he walked out with a Japanese carving knife at £60... They even get stock in for you if you ask them to. I feel a bit bad, as I asked them to get in a bean slicer, only to immediately find one elsewhere. The 10 bean slicers sitting forlornly on their hook stare at me every time I go in...I don't feel too bad though, I have since bought a jam funnel, some olive wood spoons and a special cleaning brush for sweetcorn.

RD charged me for four items and for their express delivery as part of a larger order earlier this month. The lanterns did not arrive. yet I was charged for their delivery. More disingenuously, RD's online communication and receipt pretended that the order had been made. When I complained by telephone and email I was assured that I would be reimbursed for the missing items. TEN DAYS ON, I am still waiting for my money. I will be taking this to Which! and suggest in the meantime that this shop is best avoided.
