No one should live like that. Chris and his crew stepped in and cleared out all rooms, taking many items for donation and other items to be trashed. They cleared out his kitchen which had so many canned/boxed food items that were expired. Chris even moved items so they weren't a tripping hazard, he pointed out fire hazards too. He did all of this with compassion and understanding, even recommending a company to help with ongoing cleaning/care to avoid my relative's place returning to its unlivable state. He even provided tax documents for donated items. I live out of state and couldn't be there, and Chris communicated with me throughout the process, sending me videos as he progressed. I even got quotes from competitors who weren't as compassionate or affordable. I highly recommend Orion's Attic!! Chris is amazing!!

As a frequent Dealer-buyer at their auctions, I smile at some of the reviews. If the auctioneer…read moremissed you, you need to wave your card. And if they still don't see it... just holler, "YO!" They have to keep things moving. They move a massive amount of merchandise in and out, so they don't have time coddle. They get higher prices than many auction houses, and sometimes I can't buy anything, because there is no meat on the bone for resale. I took a beating on some rifles I sold. They were brutally honest about their condition in their catalog, whereas another auctioneer may have been vague to the buyer. As a buyer, I have gotten some great deals. If I won it for "cheap", it means I was still willing to pay more than anyone else with money to spend. Sometimes I wait a dozen years for that item to sell at full retail. As a bulk buyer, I need those extra seats to land my purchases so that I can pack and bid on multiple lots in a row. No one saves me a seat. If I come late' I'll be standing until something opens up. They need dealers as customers so that everything goes. But they need retail minded buyers to get the best price. Most estate sellers just want it gone. If it didn't go for a $1000, it wasn't worth it. If it went for $1, no one else wanted it either! Having gone to dozens of different auction houses, this is where I am most comfortable with the honesty and integrity of the auction staff. It is normal to take a few weeks to understand the flow and get a feel for an auction house. If there is value in an item being sold, it will find experienced hands handling it and properly valuing it.

We hired Halcyon Days Estate Sales to help have 2 estate…read moresales and a blow out sale for my Aunt & Uncle's home and garage clean out. They had lived there a very long time. George has a very comforting manner and he and his family and team work together to support the sellers. He is very careful to lock up meticulously checking to make sure everything is secure. He has a team that helps run the sales so items stay secure. He brings extra tables to display items. We tried to hire auctioneers to do this job but they wanted to only take certain items to their auction wear house and charge $100/ hour to move the items. Also most auctioneers expect you to include the real estate ( home). We were pleased that this company assists only in selling the contents of the home and garage. At the end of my experience with this company I felt like I wanted to remain friends with George and his wife Tracee. They are good people. You can't go wrong however he is becoming very popular so don't hesitate to schedule with them.

Had a terrible experience with Jeremy and Mulrooney Estate Services. Met with Jeremy for an estate…read moresale for my father's estate weeks in advance, and we scheduled both a prep date for the sale and a weekend in June for the actual sale. Jeremy's exact words at this time were "I'm going to lock you in for those dates so no one else goes on the calendar, and I'll check back with you near the end of May to make sure everything is still good." So I text Jeremy in the middle of May just checking in and reconfirming everything is a go. Jeremy texts me back if he can now schedule sometime in July. I call Jeremy and in his words "He gets tons of calls!" and "If we get a client that confirms for those dates then they have to take precedent". We were ALREADY confirmed. Jeremy's own words were that "no one would go on the schedule", and we ARE confirmed for that weekend. The only thing he said was that he would circle back end of May just to make sure we're good. We were always good. Now he wanted to change in July, and his second offer was in the middle of the week of another week in June, completely different dates (and no weekend). We had made all of our plans around the dates of the estate sale that we made with Jeremy. Completely unreliable, lied to me directly saying the dates "weren't confirmed" when they absolutely were and he even said "no one else would go on the calendar that weekend", and tons of time wasted and he could care less. I guess because he's getting "tons of calls!". Thanks for making an already incredibly difficult time that much harder. Wish I would've seen these reviews on Yelp earlier.

Incredible deals to be had if you check back towards the end of the sale. Knowledgable folks, good prices, and seem to really care about their client and the customer.
