The front desk is at the bar and it seemed any place we went was bar-like. The bar is a typical small town bar, the bartenders there at check in were GREAT and friendly! They also know how to make a stiff drink!! Me likey. The room was cheap and the mattress felt like a dorm mattress -no big deal. The sink is outside of the bathroom, the shower was decent, the poor toilet was placed WAY too close to the wall. They sure upgraded the tvs! They must have missed the 'welcome package' under the sink that contained a used/hairy Old Spice deodorant, muscle rub, antacid tablets, capzasin, and a package of Extenze pills. The first night I was awakened by a VERY upset lady who seemed to be in the middle of a love triangle and wanted her car back, BADLY. She yelled, cussed, growled (YES growled!), and stomped her way around for a good 45 minutes.

The staff was very friendly and helpful (especially the cook). I got a bacon cheeseburger with fries to go. I did not specify topping as I just want to try it their way. They had no way to give me any ketchup for my fries. No packets, no cups. Luckily on road trips I collect ketchup packets for just this reason. The fries were good and crispy. Now to the burger. The patty was delicious and not dry and the bacon was crispy. Unfortunately is came plain and dry. No toppings or condiments at all. They did not ask what I wanted on it but I just figured the burger would come with toppings. That cost a star on an otherwise great burger. I will give it another try next time
