I came to Alonzo 2 months postpartum and he completely turned my hair around in just two affordable appointments. He made me feel comfortable and right at home. I was offered food and water. Hi, I wanted to express a concern, I should have said something the day off but I had no time as we had to travel almost 2 hrs to our destination and didn't have time to make any changes. Last Saturday I picked up a Quinceañera ramo and was disappointed. It did not look like the inspired pictures, some of the rose pedals looked dried at the edges and felt like it had no contrast, the pale pink and off white looked almost the same. I REALLY hate to write this review because they seem to have so many truly loyal and very satisficed customers. Let me start with the positives. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING! I mean seriously wonderful from the moment I placed the order and even after my arrangement was delivered. If I were writing this and only rating them on Customer Service it would be 5 Stars all the way. Sadly, the arrangement I requested was not what was delivered. As a matter of fact, it was SO wrong that I called in literal tears. I live in the Bay Area and my Grandma lives in Apply Valley. Due to Covid, I haven't been able to see her in over 2 years and this was her 96th Birthday. At this point in life, every Birthday is celebrated in as big a fashion as we can so I wanted to really splurge on a beautiful bouquet and at the same time, purchase local and from somewhere that had great reviews. Hesperia is not as local as I had wanted but I hadn't been impressed with any of the Apple Valley Florists over the years so I took a chance on Blue Petals based on their YELP Reviews. I called on a Saturday afternoon and was asked to tag the photo on their Instagram page that I liked which I did and it was just beautiful. All jewel tones and very very pretty. I know my Grandma would love it. I also know that the photo was taken at a different time of year so the actual flowers used would be slightly different but the look and feel would be the same. I was told that I would receive a photo of the bouquet prior to it being delivered that following Wednesday. And, he said that he would try to deliver it before Noon so that she could enjoy it longer. Fast forward to Wednesday. At 3pm the flowers still hadn't been delivered so I called just to make sure they would be there before the end of the day. They seemed a little stressed and I assumed it was just a busy day at the shop. They found my order and said that the delivery was almost ready to go and that they'd made the arrangement extra special for my Grandma. Awesome! I hung up happy and called my grandma to let her know it was coming and to send me a photo when it arrived since the florist hadn't done so and I was excited to see what it looked like. At 5:30pm I received a photo of the arrangement from my Grandma and I was speechless. There must be some mistake because the arrangement I was looking at was not even close to the one I had chosen and ... I specifically said absolutely no lilies and there were many in this arrangement. But it was the vase that missed the mark completely. I know that the designer took liberty with his creative vision and his heart was in the right place but this was a giant miss. I called in tears. I was not only angry but completely embarrassed. Here I was so excited to send this gorgeous bouquet I spent $160 on and what I got literally left me for a loss of words. With that being said, EVERYONE at Blue Petals was amazing and apologetic that I was so unhappy. They offered to refund me and redeliver a new bouquet the next day. I told them that they didn't have to refund me if you could in fact deliver another bouquet the next day that looked closer to the one I had chosen. The next morning I received a call from the owner who apologized but also told me she could not get the flowers in the photo for a few weeks so a new arrangement that day wasn't going to be possible. I let her know that it didn't need to be those flowers exactly just the same feel as the arrangement I'd chosen on Instagram. I could tell she wanted to just refund me and move on which was totally fine. I received a refund for the entire amount a few days later and placed an order for a new bouquet with a Florist from San Francisco that I've use before. My warning is to just be very specific when ordering here. They don't have standard bouquets to choose from so know that what you see is not necessarily what you get. Thank you Blue Petal staff for being truly understanding however I think we can agree that our style choices are vastly different. I wish you all the best but I don't think I will be ordering from you again. read more

When you need it to be PERFECT - My friend's husband passed away and I wanted to make sure to send her something beautiful. The gorgeous arrangement Alonzo put together exceeded my expectations! Not only was it stunningly perfect, but the attention to detail was most impressive! He hand wrote the text I sent him on a note card to be delivered with the flowers. In addition, he drew a beautiful multicolored cross on the card. (I had mentioned earlier that they are Catholic and he remembered. How incredibly thoughtful!) He also added a really cool dove accessory in with the arrangement. All through the process, he texted me with photos of the card and arrangement to make sure everything was perfect.
