She ran Access Consciousness Bars with me during each of those visits. When I first learned about Access Bars, it was described as a massage for my brain. I was mentally exhausted at the time. Stressed because of the loss of doggies we rescued, some long-term family issues, and the pandemic. It sounded like bliss! I learned that Access Bars are areas on your head that when gently touched, release the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and emotions that stop you from creating a life you love. I could not dial the phone fast enough. During our first visit, we worked through a lot of grief together. Andi does Reiki as well, so it really intensified the healing. At the end, I felt amazing and revitalized. I went back a month later to work through some long-existing family trauma. I felt happy and settled for the first time in years. Within a week, I felt this amazing release and with that, I knew I forgave my mother. I was floored. I went back a third time to continue my healing journey and we worked through even more. Each time I walk away with more peace, happiness, and love. She's truly amazing. I highly recommend to anyone on a healing journey. Andi is magic and I am forever grateful!

We tried another holistic vet, but they were waaaaaaay on the side of holistic care and we were hoping to find someone trained in both traditional medicine and holistic medicine. I figured it would hurt to try Dr. Doug as he seemed like the perfect fit for what we wanted and is also well respected in the community. Everyone we interacted with, from the ladies on the phone to make the appointment to the staff the day off and Dr. Doug were all exceptionally kind. I arrived and was greeted warmly. We were taken to a room and the tech was awesome. Dr. Doug was everything I hoped he would be. The entire place is clean and kind of serene which I'm not used to, but was so thankful to find. Most notably, for whatever reason, my dog was the calmest and most relaxed that she's ever been while getting medical care. It was just such a great experience for both of us. Dr. Doug spent almost an hour and a half doing a very thorough deep dive in her history and made some recommendations that I'm excited to try. While it's too far to be our regular vet, we will absolutely continue working with Dr. Doug and hopefully his unique perspective will help us better manage our dogs health and diagnosis.

Treatment was expensive, but they were courteous and helped us figure out the best treatment options within our price range. Overall have found them to be pleasant to work with. Until this past year. Have had numerous issues, but the absolute worst was when we started taking my other dog. She's not a fan of the vet and needs anxiety meds to go. They didn't approve of the meds from the previous vet and wrote a new rx. So we show up and she is still stressed. Is the med not working?? Oh it's working. Only problem is that they wrote the instructions wrong, and prescribed a half dose. I was livid! What if they had made an error which increased the dose and killed my dog?!!! Let alone the wasted time and travel. They "fixed" the rx for correct quantity. However, I had to recently refill. Guess what? Her meds STILL have the wrong instructions!! This practice has definitely switched from caring about their patients to wanting money. As much as possible. They told me if I want to discuss their F*** ups, I'll have to schedule an appointment. So I have to pay, and travel to them, to discuss their horribly dangerous practices, such as leaving a controlled medication out of its lock box. Not supposed to be handled by anyone other than the vet, yet somehow front desk person found it just sitting on a shelf, unsecured. Went ahead and processed the sale without the vet. Against what they said were their own policies. I do not understand what has happened to this vet, other than greed, but I am no longer sure if it is a safe environment for my pets. They also messed with our dogs vaccinations to such an epic degree! Telling us they only did some of the vaccines that were needed. Tooo bad, so sad. They changed his vaccines so he would have to come in 5x/year instead of 1-2. Why did they do this??? Money. By only giving 6month vaccinations (and not telling us of their decision to change his routine) and changing as much as they could, they could now charge for multiple appts and vaccines. Oh, that's stressful for you and your pup? TOO BAD!! WE NEED MORE MONEY!!!! Money has changed this from a loving, caring vet, to one who screws owners and their pets so they can make quotas. Quotas. At the expense of our loved fluffy ones. Not on my watch. Never again will we return.

She treats with natural remedies and herbs, but does prescribe drugs when needed. So far I have been able to treat all of my dogs naturally and have had no need for drugs. She also isn't one of those vets that tries to sell you everything and anything to make a buck. She takes her time with my dogs. She is calm and patient with them. She offers acupuncture, massage therapy and reikie. I trust Dr. Nan completely and feel she is genuinely concerned about my dogs well-being.

She offered a combination of Western med and more importantly Holistic medicine. Her holistic approach saved my girl. Unfortunately we r a little over two years later and she has a new tumor in a new place. It started causing seizures. Again we came to see Dr Maro to see if she can perform another miracle. I only regret not coming sooner. Maybe it would have been caught early. I want to respond to some bad reviews on this site. In my view they were mainly written over cost. You must remember this is a Holistic vet. Look at her like you would a cancer specialist. They cost more because of the level of education they have gone through. They not only learned western medicine but holistic as well. There are not many like them around and the treatments they offer you work, but it is a different approach than Western medicine. I've learned so much with Sophie's illness I try to share what I learned. Do NOT vaccinate your pet every year because a vet told you to. They may not need it and you're putting your loved one at risk. Dont feed grocery store food or anything that starts with meat by products in their ingredients. Food can kill them. Maybe not today but maybe in 2,3,4 etc years. It is NOT good healthy food just because you pay more. Do the research if you love your pet as I do! Look into those vaccine's and flea meds. Toxic! There r holistic products that work just as well and will not give them cancer or brain tumors. Every vet has a different education just like our Doctors. Like everything there can be good or bad vets. Dr Maro and her staff are the best of the best. Up to date on new treatments that work. If you need a miracle please go see her! I am FURIOUS after leaving Ellwood Animal Hospital. I took my dog for ear concerns and to get his…read morenails trimmed. First of all, they only did his back nails because they said he got "aggressive", even though the vet told me on the phone what a "good boy" he was being. The vet claimed he wasn't able to look in my dogs ears (the main reason I took him in!) but still wanted to treat him with four different medications. His skin was not a concern or issue and yet, they wanted to put him on a medication for itching. and even after I said I didn't necessarily think he needed it (he's been on it twice before I got him when he really did have skin issues), the girl said "well that's what the doctor wants". They claimed to have not looked in his ears at all but the second they brought him out, I was able to look in both his ears and the right one (they said they didn't touch) was more red inside than I've ever seen it and has SCRATCHES on the inside. Scratches that I know for a fact we're not there when I took him in. Along with his ear, his mouth was just as red and his eyes were red and watery. I am SO mad that I'm still shaking. We take our beloved pets to veterinarians thinking we can trust them to care and handle our pets well. I have no idea what the hell they did to my poor dog but it clearly wasn't acceptable. If I could give them zero stars I absolutely would. I feel like I want to report them to some kind of authority so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
