Disney's boardwalk is one of the most magical parts of Walt Disney world. It's never too busy and the wait is never too long anywhere you go. We grabbed corn dogs for dinner. Well, I got the Mexican street corn dog, it was so good! My son got the pickle dog with peanut butter. It looked gross but he loved it lol! The corn dogs came with chips and we fed them to the friendly ducks. Giving this a 4 out of 5 because of the service. It was really weird how the ordering went. I didn't receive a receipt or a number and some other people did. Some did not. We all stood around waiting for our food. After about 15 min I went to the window and asked about my order. Stopped into Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs as my meal with Amare at Swan Reserve did not work out. The service was friendly but the pick up and order process is a bit odd. It really feels like people should be given a beeper or they should add in mobile order or text you when your order is ready as there's no loud speaker and the person calling the numbers doesn't say it very loudly. The corn dog was quite good if not slightly too big and the lemonade was delicious, so all in all I would definitely stop in again. read more

After walking over my 10,000 daily steps by noon, it was definitely time for lunch. This was my very first time experiencing the boardwalk. It is so cute with a gorgeous view of the lake in the middle. For a quick bite, we turned to this corn dog stand which sits right on the boardwalk. There were several options, and I got the corn dog with the pickle inside. Yes, a whole pickle. The pickle is hollowed out with the the hotdogs through the middle and then fried. It had good crunch on the outside. Also this corn dog is huge. It definitely makes for a whole meal and is very filling. It also came with a bag of Lays potato chips. Was fun! They get something like a four for having curious and interesting carnival eats on the Boardwalk. Crazy corn dogs, leomade, and cotton candy; sweetest thing!!! Lol Cashier sort of made the experience too with her exuberance and tippable hospitality ...but the pickle dog itself was meh. It really didn't have much of any pickly pop and its skin was sort of somewhat leathery. Stuff that up into a dry crunchy coating and you're going to need that lemonade. Peanut butter didn't help. Was fun and interesting trying something different but this wasn't for me. Also worth noting, that while I walked right up to the window, I still had a good long wait. I couldn't imagine what it's like when they're busy. And just sayin', in a fuddy duddy kind of way, you can get a footlong chili dog at any one of a few of the Boardwalk's Resorts' marketplaces within a short walk for the same money and I'd of been happier with that. Man... solid corn dog, but the experience was wild. I had order #45 and was waiting for my number to be called. It was taking a while, but no big deal. I was being patient. They called #43. Then some random guy walks up to the window and asks what number is next. He calls the server by name, so clearly they've interacted before. He says he's #47 and asks how long it'll take. Then he jokingly goes, "Can you make it 45 seconds?" with a smirk. Next thing I know, the server hands him his order. Just like that. Skipped at least four of us who had been standing there waiting. The server couldn't see me and another guy off to the side, but we made eye contact like... did that really just happen? After that, no other numbers were called. Just silence. I didn't know what to expect. You order at one window and then go to the opposite side to pick up your order. The rolls were light and the right amount of sweet covered in cinnamon sugar and a glaze. The glaze is thin and not thick. Think a lighter version of a cinnamon roll. It's a nice sweet treat. Fast service and friendly. read more

We finally tried the viral cheesesteak from Blue Ribbon! The weather was perfect that day, and VERY HOT. The spot itself is a food hut, so there's no cover while you're in line, but once you order, there are shaded areas nearby where you can sit and chill. After paying, they direct you to the side of the hut to wait on your order. Ours came out pretty quick, like 3 minutes tops! While we waited, we got to enjoy some live street entertainment right next door. Two guys were doing acrobatic skits and honestly, it added such a fun, unexpected touch to the whole vibe. It really gave the place energy! As for the cheesesteak, super cheesy just like the pics and videos. It was hot, crispy, and definitely fun to eat. Flavor-wise, it could've used a little more seasoning, so I was glad they gave us marinara on the side. Sharing one was perfect between my fiancé and I. It's filling but not over the top. Best mozzarella stick ever!!!! I had seen videos of these sticks from Disneyland, and so when I heard Blue Ribbon was opening on the BoardWalk, I was thrilled. But then it wasn't on the original menu. Fortunately, that all changed several month ago. My daughter and I decided to share one, but in reality, 3-4 people could snack on one. It's huge. The stand wasn't busy when we ordered, and so within a few minutes, we had a piping hot cheese stick. It came with a bag of potato chips. We took it up to our room to enjoy with our balcony view. The crust was warm and so well seasoned. The stick itself had the longest cheese pull ever. (Eat this around people you feel comfortable with. It's not a first date kind of snack -haha). This place is in high demand because the line was very long and slow. By the time I got to the register, it probably took about 30 minutes and an extra 20 minutes for the order to come out. My sister and I shared their Mexican corndog, mozzarella stick, and Korean corndog. The mozzarella stick was huge coming in as about 12" long. Surprisingly, it even had a satisfying cheese pull to it! Between the corndogs, the Mexican was definitely better in terms of toppings and the hotdog itself which had chopped pieces of jalapenos in it. Growing up, I hated corn dog day at the school cafeteria. However, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs has shown me that corn dogs can actually be good! I ordered the Pickle Dog, which is an all beef hot dog, stuffed in a dill pickle, fried in cornmeal batter, rolled in panko bread crumbs, and served with peanut butter and a bag of Lays classic potato chips. I thought the flavor combination was interesting and everything worked well together. I also ordered some lemonade which tasted good too. Yes, it was kind of expensive, but it was a lot of food and everything near Walt Disney World is pricey. However, this company isn't technically owned by Disney, so we couldn't pay with our magic bands. The person who took our order was friendly and we received our food quickly. There are several outdoor tables where you can enjoy your food, but it was kind of crowded and hard to find seats. After a little debacle with a staff member taking the ingredients to storage before closing and after taking our order, we had to wait for Dylan to retrieve the ingredients needed. Dylan was swift and very helpful and very apologetic. He deserves a raise, and the staff member who decided they were closing up early after taking our money should lose their job. If it wasn't for Dylan, we would be very upset and would probably never do business here again. Dylan is the man! While I didn't realize when their closing time was, I asked the staff if they were still open because their order window was open on the left. A woman came to the window and said they were closed and locked the window shortly afterward. I was starving from a full day of walking and was willing to pay, but I understood and sat down at the table next to the corn dog stand. Approximately 5 mins later, a white Caucasian man comes to the same side window and was immediately serviced with a corn dog on a plate with chips. Out of frustration, I approached the staff quickly and another woman confirmed she gave him the "extra food" they had for "FREE" of charge. I told her it seemed unfair because I was going to pay for the hot dog and instead they gave it to someone else after me, and for free which was the worst part. This is the first experience I've ever had dealing with someone else's privilege. It made me feel unseen and put me in an awkward position. Their staff seems to pick who to service and how to treat them, which was baffling to me at what is supposed to be the happiest place on earth. I expressed my concern to the resort where I was staying and they understood my frustration, however it was not their situation to fix. Was waiting patiently for this location to open to try the pickle corn dog. Parking though is annoying when you are not local and don't have park tickets. The pickle corn dog was so heavy, comes with a side of peanut butter dipping sauce, which was fine, but I suggest getting a side of the sriracha mayo for dipping. The pickle dog was complete crispy, salty goodness but honestly, I think I would've enjoyed a plain pickle just as much. The giant mozzarella stick was just as described, it was super fresh but just tasted like a large basic mozzarella stick. Given the difficulty with parking and Disney pricing it is not likely we will be back soon, but a nice different option for the area. Location is great, service was not. Very pricey but that's expected at this spot. Ordered the giant mozzarella stick and the pickle corndog. Both were decent. Definitely not worth the time or worth the wait. Workers were the friendliest and were slightly off-putting. Not that hard to be a little friendly in your job but not here. Also taking points off for no cash option to pay and then of course when you have a no cash option, you also have to turnaround the annoying iPad to me with the "do you want to tip 20%, 25%, 30% or 40%" option. If I need a quick bite for now on when I'm on the Boardwalk I'll stick with the Boardwalk Deli or Pizza Window. read more
