The salad did not taste fresh while the fish appeared overcooked. Beer and dessert are extra. The desserts were actually pretty good including cheesecake and a sticky toffee pudding. If given the choice, I'd only have the beer and the dessert. Maybe an off day but it only takes one impression for a foodie of any type. The service is pretty good and fast considering there were 70 people on our tour bus. The interior was very nice and clean, very quaint, quite English, and the perfect ambiance for a drink and to catch up with old friends. Oddly, I met 4 other people from the Austin area (so I was not the only Austinite there (I still have my Texas DL, plates, and Austin address despite moving to Calgary). I would not go out of my way to come here unless I found out that my food experience was an off day but if you are hungry or just need a beer and dessert, then this will work for you.
