I really wanted to enjoy these cinnamon rolls, but they ended up being a disappointing purchase. The texture was the first red flag -- instead of being soft and fluffy, the dough had an odd gummy consistency. The filling didn't help either; it was slimy rather than gooey, which made the whole bite feel off. They were also lacking in flavor. A good cinnamon roll should have a warm, sweet cinnamon‑sugar mixture throughout, but these barely had any of that classic taste. The walnuts were another issue -- they tasted old, possibly previously frozen and thawed, and definitely not crunchy. Instead of adding texture, they just made the roll feel even less fresh. Was craving a candy apple and popped into Blue Shell's; apple was incredibly fresh. Approx $8 after tax. Their display case was filled with assorted chocolates and they had what looked like freshly baked cinnamon rolls. Didn't get a chance to try, but may check it out in the future. read more

I stopped by to pick up a little treat after lunch. It was surprisingly really dark inside, so it was kind of difficult to take a look at all their offerings. I do have to say that it smelled delicious inside, like freshly baked cinnamon rolls. I ended up grabbing a Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. It was huge and so delicious. It wasn't too sweet and I loved the peanut butter they used. Next time I'll be sure to try one of their cinnamon rolls! read more

The best cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting that's not too sweet. Just wish they'd give more frosting because the rolls are so big. The rolls are steaming HOT and super chewy. Stop by here on a Saturday around 10am. I ordered a cinnamon roll with cream cheese on top, no nuts on top. Great service and quick. Plenty of seating around the store or a little walk down and you get some more seats with views of the bay. The cinnamon roll was warm and it was delicious. I would recommend this place. read more

A trip to the Central Coast always meant cinnamon rolls. While, they didn't have any of the gluten free variety, what they had smelled amazing. I ordered cinnamon rolls for the whole family, with and without nuts. When I got back to the beach house, the smell enticed my mother. And she said something along the lines of, "Oh! Sweet little spot with a lot of cute items to choose from. They have stickers that look locally made, and a lot of sweet treats to sample. Super friendly service, they provided us with some great recommendations. I went with the sea salt caramel, divinity, and the honey comb. The kiddo requested the marshmallows and the puppet otter. I was in Morro and my friend Teri said I had to grab a cinnamon roll from Blue Shell. The girl at the counter was so very sweet. I got the cinnamon roll with pecans and frosting on the side. Cinnabon came straight out of the oven. I got an original Cinnabon to go. I had to pay 75 cents for icing. We got to the hotel and the bottom of the Cinnabon was super hard you could not cut it. I flipped it over & it was burned. It was NOT worth the money. I should not be charged for wanting icing on my Cinnabon. read more

Walked by around 8am and smelled the sweet smell of cinnamon rolls. Walked in the unlocked door, and was told by an employee that they do not open until 10am. Very late opening time for a cinnamon roll and coffee spot. While inside, my wife noticed they had fudge. We went back early in the afternoon to get some fudge and was told they were out. They were waiting on the FedEx guy to bring more today ... surprised it was not made locally. I went back at about 6pm to see if the fudge shipment had come, only to find they close at 5pm.
