Last Christmas i wanted a ring for my partner but they didn't really have anything i had in mind. Anyway the lady who was serving me was very helpful. She showed me a plain ring and explained to me that i could get it sent away to be engraved and have a diamond added to it. I wasn't sure at first but she managed to convince me in the end! When the ring came back it was absolutely gorgeous and looked better than what i had imagined it would. I don't think i mentioned that this was two weeks before Christmas. The lady went the extra mile to make sure i would have it in time for Christmas and she rung me frequently to let me know how the ring was getting on. I will defiantly come here again for any jewellery. I had a great customer experience and would recommend this shop to everybody!

Sounded very confident and so I put my faith and trust in Atkinson's and didn't try to source elsewhere. Rang the day before due in to check on progress and spoke to the owner. She told me only 2 were due but one was already paid for. I explained someone had promised to hold one for me, she said she would mark that on the board. Slightly concerned I called in 1st thing Friday morning the 22nd when I was told that 2 were due in but both were sold and paid for!!! I had no apology, just told that supplier had let them down. Lousy communication, they either don't speak to each other or just make it up as they go along. I only wish I had NOT put my faith and trust in them and sourced the watch elsewhere. I won't be returning to Atkinson's any time soon!!

The window is set around a corner leading into a shopping arcade and it lghts up the entrance, everyone stops and looks in this window. Designer jewellery from all over the world can be seen from the window, 1/4ct 1/2ct 3/4 diamomds sparkle everywhere. Watches from most quality design houses and childrens jewellery is also avalible here, if you have ever shoped for childrens jewellery you will know how difficult it is to find quality items. Everytime a customer tried a necklace or bracelet on and then bought it, my heart would pang for it. Why hadn't I noticed the transforming power of this piece before? For those more in the know on jewellery design labels, Jenny Jones stocks the ubiquitous Pandora in addition to Ortak, Hot Diamonds and Mexican Silver. The shop is nice and quiet; the staff left you browse to your heart's content unless you need any help. As elegant as the merchandise.

You won't find anything costing over £450 in here, and to my own surprise, it's actually... rather nice. I'd go as far as to say I'd happily purchase something from here. Priding itself on 'contemporary luxury' and specialising in silver and white gold, this is modern, it's classy, and there isn't a chintzy piece of tack, sovereign gold ring or gargantuan hoop in sight. Chavvy this ain't. The kitschiest thing you'll find here is a name necklace, and we all know Carrie Bradshaw made them quirky cool again so we needn't worry. Azendi's all about the geometric angles, funky jewels, shiny pearls and statement rings, and James is absolutely right about it cornering the younger market. It's hard to explain - Azendi just has that intangible feeling of being more highbrow than other high street jewellers. Kudos. I wouldn't just yoink my basics from here, I'd seriously treat myself. And with my fussiness levels, that's really saying something.
