    Tempura green tea ice cream

I was so excited Bluefin Sushi moved to Oakley. A location next to Mountain Mikes Pizza with plenty of parking space then Lone Tree Way. We arrived early before lunch around 11:40am on a Saturday. We were welcomed by the friendly staff. Appetizer - 5 piece fried oysters. They tasted very fresh and the dip sauce hit the spot! Nigiri - The salmon and tuna belly. The tuna belly was my absolute fav! Sushi rolls - Eye of the Tiger Beautiful Lady Lobster Roll Dessert - Tempura green tea ice cream (highly recommended) and strawberry and green tea mochi ice cream This sushi rolls here are absolutely amazing with a whole variety of selection. You wish you can try all of them at once! This is by far our favorite sushi spot in Oakley.

    Amazing fresh and delicious

This was my first visit to their new location and it is very nice. The decor and design is really nice and brighter. Our server was very friendly and checked in with us often to see how we were doing which was great. The food was really good especially the tonkatsu curry. I am extremely picky about my chicken and pork katsu and it was exactly how I like it. There is a lot of parking and getting to the restaurant is really easy.

Definitely a 5 star experience. My husband and I had a great experience at Bluefin Sushi in Oakley! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The ambiance was warm and inviting. It perfect for a relaxing dinner. We ordered a bento box and four different rolls: the Poseidon Roll, Lion King, Blue Ocean, and Refresh Roll. Every single dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, fresh & flavorful. We'll definitely be back!!!

This is the same Bluefin Sushi that used to be off Lone Tree across from Trader Joe's. It has moved to the quiet Oakley shopping center. Plenty of parking now which is better than in the previous parking lot which is a nightmare. So good change for them. We met Stella, the waitress, was full of smiles and bubbly and very kind and sweet! Now of course, it is about the food. Honestly, there hasn't been a knock your socks off great Japanese restaurant around this area that I have found. This is probably one of the better ones of the ones in this area though. 5 stars for the staff. Mushroom Bomb- sounded good and if you like jalapeño poppers then you will like this. Personally I love mushrooms, but I don't like jalapeño poppers and this was too cream cheesy for me. I could only eat a couple of bites of this. So 2.5 on this for me. Heavenly sushi was okay good. I think I like Lion King rolls better in my preference, but I wanted to try something different. 3 stars for this- it was a bit on the sweet side. The Bento box was tonkatsu and vegetable tempura. Salad was just right. Miso soup a bit salty but still good- but I would suggest to add little bits of tofu and fresh diced green onion to elevate the plain broth. 3.5 for the soup- I love miso soup anyways. The tonkatsu was a bit dry bc smaller pieces of pork so would be dry quicker when frying. It was ok 3.5 being generous here. Vegetable tempura mix was good 3.5 for this( could be more light and airy but ok still). I only base my star rating basically on the food and maybe other factors may boost or enhance it if it really made a difference. So for this area it is decent and a good place to get Japanese food- not up to par compared with the rest of the SF Bay Area, but good enough compared to other Japanese restaurants in this area. Averaged 3.3- Will give it 3.5 it is ok good. The person I went with also rated her Bento Box as a 3 star rating (she had the same as me but with mixed shrimp and vegetable tempura). She loves Japanese food and goes to Japanese restaurants and says "it is okay." So actual rating from me is 3.3(food) including service 3.5.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. I tried the salad with chef's choice fresh nigiri and I was very happy and satisfied! The fish tasted fresh and the soy sauce/ponzu sauce was a very good complement to the greens. Would have loved to see some cucumber in the salad to make it more refreshing. Will come back and try other stuff..

We really enjoyed the new location on Oakley. Service was fantastic and the sushi super yummy and clean.

Came here for date night and loved it. Very cute inside, the service was great, and the food was amazing. Most sushi spots all seem to have the same thing, but this place offered some unique variety while still having some of the classics. We will definitely be back.

Great food and . You can tell the fish is fresh. Service was also excellent. My 8 year old loved the cucumber salad and California roll.

Ordered a late lunch and just wanted some simple but I did order the mixed tempura, it wasn't greasy, the vegetables had flavor and the batter was light. My favorite part were the skewer of mushrooms. The Sakura roll was good but it wasn't easy to pick up because the cucumber wrapping made everything pop out, tried fingers and chopsticks. Sashimi was mediocre and sort of small but overall, everything was decent. The lady in the front was friendly and my food was ready when I arrived, need to look for a reason to comeback and eat there.

This is a great sushi restaurant. As a matter of fact, this is now my favorite sushi restaurant in…read morethe area. My wife and I really like the quality and taste of their rolls. I am a huge fan of their sushi pizza which is a mix of spicy tuna and crabmeat topped with this crispy tempura nori and drizzled with this sweet and spicy sauce. Each bite is crispy and full of tuna flavor. I've had a lot of different sushi rolls in my life and this one in particular is different and special. I never had anything like it. I also love their Caterpillar roll; eel with avo. This roll is common, but they make it really good here. Another interesting and delicious roll is the Mango Crunch; Spicy tuna, salmon, and fresh mango slices with unagi sauce. This roll is sweet and savory, all in one. The sushi chef really takes his time crafting each roll. Our order does take time because everything is made fresh and from scratch. We love Neko Sushi and we'll definitely be coming back again for more.

My husband and I were hungry and honestly, just picked the first sushi spot that came up for us that was the closest. We have been so accustomed to mediocre sushi that we stopped being picky. We were just happy to eat sushi (our kids hate it). We showed up during lunch time the first time. We took advantage of their lunch menu. I ordered the sushi lunch special which came with 5 pieces of sushi and 1 California roll. My husband ordered the 2 piece Bento box: salmon teriyaki and California roll. We decided to also order a scallop shooter and a almon belly nigiri, along with the 49er roll When the plates arrived, I was immediately impressed by how thick the fish was. Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, Mackerel, Albacore were the 5 pieces assorted to me. All were amazingly fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the California roll. It was just the perfect amount of mayo and crab. The scallop shooter was such a nice surprise. In addition to the many pieces of scallop in there, it had masago, a quail egg floater, AND uni! For $10 each, I would say that it was well worth it. It definitely is a mouthful, but delicious. As for the salmon belly, what a treat! You can taste how fresh and fatty it is. I honestly dream about it. They put fresh wasabi on top and they sear the top juuuuust slightly, enough to give a little smoke taste. If I could, I'd probably order 10. I do feel that $12 for 2 pieces is also fair, especially for the quality. My husband also enjoyed his teriyaki salmon, he mentioned it could've been a bit bigger, but the flavor was good. The roll was also delicious. Perfect ratio of fish, rice, & toppings. We came back a 2nd time because I could not stop thinking about it. We decided to come for dinner and we splurged. We had faith and decided to try many items on their special's list for the day. We ordered salmon belly, hamachi belly, omakase, scallop shooter, ankimo, & salmon/tuna tartare. Lucky for us, the omakase which is 9 pieces also included some additional specials like the O-toro & albacore belly. Looking back, I think ordering the omakase as a personal item vs sharing would've been a better idea. Especially if you want to try all the specials, the price is roughly the same cost. We enjoyed every piece, so getting duplicates of items was more than welcomed. I would say that the salmon belly is a must, along with the ankimo (monk fish liver), and the hamachi belly. Take my advice, order the omakase for yourself. Try all the different nigiri and savor each bite. This place is about 25 mins from us, but it's definitely worth the drive! Annnnd I'm a cat lover, I love the simple decor and the cat themed portraits.

She is a key reason as to why we want to keep coming back; her attitude and enthusiasm is fantastic. Me and my family enjoyed our dinner and loved every dish we ordered. Their wonton soup is an excellent choice for a starter and can be shared up to at least 3 people. The wontons are fresh and tasty, the mushrooms are chunky and complement well with the bakchoy. There's even thinly sliced red pork which adds some taste and texture to the soup. We thoroughly enjoyed their spicy Mongolian chow fun. This had some sweetness to it but also some heat which was just right. The beef was super tender! It melts in your mouth.
