Just off interstate 65 down the road from Buc-ee's you will find this beautiful winery full of flavorful wines. We really enjoyed our wine tasting the Duke had a rich chocolatety aroma with a fruity finish. It will be amazing with a chocolate dessert. The blue cotton candy was very unusual sweet and bright blue color adds a touch of fun. The people were friendly and tasting room was bright and airy. read more

Best Club Crackers ever! Enjoyed club cracker with my Flight order, added a buttery flavor to the wine! The Ladies at the Winery are top notch, know the history of the winery and they aim to please. (Andrea, Michelle and Leslie) are the best and sweetest! My visit was during the day and was a rainy day...enjoyed my visit with these ladies. Now about the wine...my favorite was the "Duke" simi-sweet clear raspberry color chocolate wine, very nice wine. Hot Mango is a very nice wine with a little kick at the end but, not too hot! So happy we stopped here for a tasting! They were so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. The one ounce pours are the perfect size to try all the fun wines before you decide on a glass. I loved that they have so many sweet wines available! I've never had cotton candy wine before and it was great to try so many different varieties. On a recent day trip to Bowling Green we decided to stop in to Bluegrass Vineyard for a wine tasting! I loved the variety of unique sweet wines! My favorite was the one with the raspberry chocolate, the carmel apple, and the one aged in a bourbon barrel! It's only $6 for a flight and a snack, and there are optional snack upgrades as well! Everyone that worked there was very friendly! The experience was relaxing and fun! The parking lot is small, but we didn't have an issue. There are cows near the parking lot, which I loved! I'm sad to have to give this place 3 stars because it really was a great experience. The wine is great and super affordable, they have snacks as well that was also very affordable. BUT, we sat at the bar and got a wine flight and they use the same glass for each pour. It's very, very unsanitary. They rinse out your glass when you are done and wipe it with a towel that they use for everyone and refill your glass with the communal wine. I wish they didn't do this and I hope they stop soon. It's not only unsanitary but when I order I flight of wine, I want to enjoy them side by side. read more

We stopped here during our wine weekend. The tasting room is newly opened. There is an Airbnb on the property as well. I didn't get the name of the girl who did our tasting, but she did an excellent job. She easily handled our group of 4 as well as the other parties that came in with ease. The tasting was free and you got up to 6 samples. All of the wines were delicious and we all walked out with at least one bottle. I didn't notice a patio or outside area, which would have been nice to enjoy a glass or bottle. Overall, this was a good stop to start off our wine weekend. read more

I just happened upon this place by accident when weekending in Kentucky. It is a little over an hour from Nashville and totally worth returning. Wines are delicious and more on the sweet than dry side. That is perfectly fine by me since I am more drawn to sweet wine in the summer months. I took home a couple of bottles home and made the blackberry wine into a sangria that I will never forget. I mixed it with some tequila, coconut moonshine and infused it with pineapple and peach. I know that this sounds like a total mess, but it was AMAZING. It was the wine that really brought out all of the flavors and offered as a great base. It also was quite satisfying that I shared it with a couple of friends. The staff here that serve you are exceptionally friendly. I really liked conversing with them and they had bubbly personalities that jived well with their patrons. I think the best part was that they were knowledgeable about the product and made useful recommendations as we went through the tastings. The property this is on is gorgeous. I didn't get to see a whole lot since I mainly stuck to the tasting room, but what I could see, it was lovely and the landscape was sprawling. It is worth the visit and worth the drive. read more

Stopped by this cute little winery right off of I-65 in Smiths Grove, KY. They have a great selection of sweet, semisweet and Dry wines. My favorite was the apple pie wine, it taste like I was eating slice of apple pie! My husband's favorite was elderberry. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable of the wines. Would definitely recommend this winery as a nice place to stop by on a long journey or if you are from the area. I found out while we were there they hold events on the property with live music and a local food truck. read more

Their selection of wines is quite impressive (where else can you get rhubarb wine?), though some seem frivolous (cotton candy??). The property includes a BnB. I can't give this winery better reviews. We stopped by on our way from Nashville to KY for a wedding and I'm so happy we did. We each ordered a flight tasting and a cheese plate. The wine was delicious. my favorites were the Shelby, Honeysuckle and Makin Mama Happy wines. The staff was so friendly and lively, making us feel like we were at home and had known them forever. An added bonus, there were two of the most adorable puppies on site that we could coo over while drinking wine. First and foremost, I am not a wine aficionado or expert. Truth be told, I really don't even like wine; I'm a beer guy. I can therefore not offer an educated comparison of their wines to other types of Pinots, Maubecks, Rieslings, etc. Bluegrass seems to dig the fruit wines, and that was just fine by me. The rhubarb and the elderberry wines were my favorites. The elderberry wine was, in fact, the reason for our 4-hour trip to Bowling Green. No, we're not huge fans of the classic Elton John song; I'm directing a theatrical production of Arsenic and Old Lace... a classic comedy in which elderberry wine figures prominently. We bought a case of elderberry wine as a gift for the cast. It should be noted their service and friendliness were fantastic. A destination well-worth the journey. read more

Really cool spot outside of Bowling Green in Smith's Grove. Very quaint location with picnic tables for seating outside and a table under a tent. Stopped in for a Sunday funday, very helpful staff and super reasonable when it comes to prices. We got two bottles to go. Their wine is top notch. Wonderful gem of a winery, a beautiful drive north of east Nashville and east of Bowling Green! Renee was a welcoming and knowledgeable hostess - we were pleasantly surprised to be treated warmly like regulars, even though it was our first visit! This was a lovely winery! It is located close to the interstate. The server was kind, locals all around, and nice wines. I loved the cab it was dry but also very fruity on the forefront!
