Breakfast burrito and white mocha latte
    Samantha J.

This place is now open for breakfast!! Go check out this yummy little spot! The food and vibe is relaxed, welcoming and fun! Adults only is a plus if you need to get some "me time" or if you want to have a fun time with friends or clients. todays I had this tasty burrito and a really yummy white mocha with oat milk. The customer service was on point! I really enjoy Reid and Cassie! Chris is the chef and he makes really good food too the night crowd is equally as awesome with live music and drinks!

Every once in a while, I stumble across a little gem-something that may not be well known, but has potential to be "the" new hip spot. Blues Katz Rock N Roll Grill fits this bill. My family was in town and wanted a quick bite-something more substantial than a drive thru, but not a large meal. We called ahead to see if there was a wait and if they would hold a table for us. (On a Saturday at 11am, you're almost guaranteed a wait anywhere.) The owner took my name and the number in our party and said we would have a table. When we arrived, I chuckled to myself-the majority of the tables were open. But one had a piece of paper with my name and "party of 3" written on it. Our table. I felt a little silly, but also a little special. Who doesn't like to see their name and a table being reserved just for them?! We ordered our food at the counter and then took a seat at our table. The vibe of the place is very intimate. I think it was the owner himself who answered the phone and then greeted us and took our order. He's a col guy. Patrons seemed to appreciate the small town feel of the place. It definitely brings in a variety of folks-great people watching. The food took a little bit to be prepared. From what I could see, the kitchen staff consists of one person making all the food. But it's worth the wait. The coffee was also really good. I learned that live music will start up in November, when they get their liquor license. The restaurant will remain open to all-they won't become a bar. So my music-loving teen will be thrilled to come hear live blues music and sip on some hot chocolate while his mom sits nearby with a glass of wine. Gosh, that sounds so nice!

    Angel's landing bagel sandwich

Stopped in this little cafe in a strip mall on a Saturday morning after the St. George marathon. Freshly made to order food (accommodating for vegetarians) by friendly owner and staff. We had the Angel's Landing bagel sandwich without meat (fabulous flavors with the eggs crispy around the edges and the sauce was perfect) and the Zion burrito without meat (large and pretty good but the group thought black beans would have been better than pinto). I recommend it Yelp friends and I would go back and have that sandwich again in a heartbeat.

We went in at 1pm on a Sunday and it was almost completely empty. The initial atmosphere is a little jarring, it's pretty quiet in here and it's not a full service restaurant, rather you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Drinks are from a soda fountain you can fill up yourself. We got the california club and the San Franciscan and both sandwiches were really good. The bread is apparently made by the chef herself and was definitely fresh and super tasty. The sandwiches don't come with a side but it's not really necessary since they really pack them in. The smoothies are good too. If you're looking for good vibes, probably not the place but if you're looking for good sandwiches, definitely.

Pastrami sandwich on rye. One of the best I've had.

First trip to the new digs since they moved from Washington and changed their name from Zions Blues Cafe to Blues Katz. The place has a similar feel to their previous local but larger and more accommodating to dining in. Service was friendly and fun as usual. I was hungry and excited to order one of my staple breakfast sandwiches which are amazing, but as I was just about to order a plate with pastrami surrounded by marbled rye made its way past me to another patron. It looked so good I had to give it a try. It was better than it looked. More than just a pastrami sandwich, it was a Reuben with sauerkraut and a unique version of 1000 island dressing on tender sheets of delicious pastrami. I love Ruebens and have had lots from many places. This one is in my top 5, absolutely spectacular. We live near the old location which is why it's taken so long to get to this one, but I'll be back...soon.

I'm so glad we went out of our way to stop by this little spot. They had stopped serving breakfast when we arrived on Sunday, but I was pleasantly pleased with my lunch. I ordered the veggie sandwich, which sounds pretty basic. But let me tell you, the fresh bread used in this sandwich is truly amazing--you must order order a sandwich with this bread. To say that I could have eaten an entire loaf is only a slight exaggeration. The veggies and vinaigrette were also very yummy. Staff and service were awesome--can't recommend this place enough!

Food exceeded expectations. The restaurant was being run by two people. One in the front and one in the back. The pandemic seems to have had an impact on Blue Katz, but I'm glad they are around. Our family tried a few of the sandwiches from their menu and all were fantastic. Fresh, delicious, and filling. The fries are competitive with any I've had in the Salt Lake Metro. So crispy and tasty. Great work Blue Katz, I hope to be back when the live music is playing!

Is there outdoor seating where dogs are allowed?

I can't remember, but doubt it. In a strip center so, if there was, there'd be constant foot traffic. We always get it to go and either take it home or go to a park. Good luck, though. The sandwiches are very good.

The hostess seated us promptly (with luggage in tow). The restaurant is pretty spacious, so that worked out just fine. We enjoyed our food (a cobb salad for me and a burger for her). Janessa was our server and she was lovely and attentive. We then made a reservation for a larger group for that Saturday evening and Kyle and Mia helped us out... The reservation needed adjustment last minute due to a change in schedule that day and after multiple phone calls, they were able to accommodate that change. Note: it seems there is not a direct phone number to the restauarant so I had to work with someone in the hotel lobby for this. Interestingly enough, we ended up having dinner here on Friday as well with a large group. Huge thanks to Kyle and staff for working with us that evening... We worked out a large group order to-go but sat down for our drinks. Need to know: Due to Utah Liquor laws, adults who are drinking alcoholic beverages must be seated... that was a new fun fact I learned when making the reservation. On Saturday night, the restaurant had a bit of a condensed menu and they were out of salmon, which was a bit disappointing, but after having 3 meals here, we do recommend the wings, nachos, and burgers. The area in the back of the restaurant with games including ping pong is great for the kids and there is also a grassy area out back too. I know that this restaurant is fairly new and working out the kinks... I look forward to returning in the future as I know it will continue to get better.

I specifically mentioned that we were hoping to watch Supercross, and I was assured that wouldn't be a problem. However, when we arrived at our reserved time, we were told they would "look into" changing the channel because they weren't sure they could access Peacock. We decided to stay, ordered drinks and appetizers, and checked in multiple times with our waiter. Each time, we were told they were still working on it. After waiting for over an hour, we were finally told they couldn't put it on after all. The most frustrating part is that we would have completely understood if they had told us upfront. We could have made other plans and gone somewhere that could accommodate our request. Instead, we spent a significant part of the evening waiting and hoping, which took away from what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. Afterward, I noticed similar feedback from other guests about difficulties getting channels changed, even when it seemed possible. That was disappointing to see and makes it feel like this may be a recurring issue. The service itself was polite, but better communication and follow-through would have made a big difference in our experience.

It definitely did not disappoint! I had a bit of a hard time finding this place as it's in an industrial area and kind of hiding, but it was worth the journey. For my drink, I ordered the blackberry smash, which was a mule with a fruity twist. It was delicious and much stronger than other drinks I've had in this area. For my meal, I went with the highly-acclaimed fish and chips, which did indeed live up to their hype. The fish was perfectly fried and the fries had a good bite to them. I also really enjoyed the fry sauce that tagged along with the dish. Our server was also wonderful and made helpful suggestions throughout the meal. This was a great experience and I would definitely return for future meals when I'm in the area!

Ok, for the food, the fried pickles were the best thing we had, get those. Light and crispy batter with a decently thick pickle chip inside, really good. The food, fish and chips, spicy reuben, chicken sandwich, and bbq wings. Fish and chips, decent enough, nothing to write home about, delicate batter, great flavor. Spicy Reuben...what a trainwreck, the meat was stringy and annoying to eat. The sauerkraut was sweet? Just terrible. The bbq wings were as described, so not bad. The chicken sandwich was not great either, chicken was dry and kind of hard to eat. The garlic parm fries though? Amazing. Get those as your side. We also had the Guavala and the Hef, both were really good and a steal at $6 each. They also have a small store front with no prices, frustrating. Overall, won't be back again, maybe we just came on a bad day, but once was enough.
