Take 5 Car Wash raised their basic car wash rate from $10 to $12. So, I traveled to Blue Wave where I found a $10 basic wash. However, there was a catch, They did not accept American currency as a form of payment. You had to pay with a credit, debit or some form of electronic pay which I would not do. The attendant allowed me to pay cash and he processed me through the wash. After the wash concluded an attendant, Sergio L., assisted me in drying my vehicle-a very nice touch. But in the end I will not return until Blue Wave accepts cash. There are way too many other options for a car wash. I've had a subscription since they opened. I've been very pleased with the service and I love having a clean car!

I have had a subscription for a couple of years paying $21.99 per month. Very seldom have I washed my truck two months in a row. Usually once every couple of months. Being that I was paying out of my own pocket for a company truck to be washed, I went today, May 29, 2025, to cancel my subscription. I was going to use a company card to start a new subscription. A new charge to my card was applied yesterday, the 28th. I haven't used the service for several months and they would not remove the charge from my personal debit card even though I was going to start up again with a new card. Blue Wave would not have been out any service for cancelling. Needless to say, I did not renew with the company card after that. Blue Wave will lose out on what would have been future service for years. I guess Blue Wave employees do not receive any training on how not to lose customers. You lost one here. Today, we came to wash our vehicle. However, After we paid, the line ahead of us wasn't moving. It turns out that 2 vehicles had crashed inside of the car wash lane. As a result, all of use had to back up. 3 vehicles that had paid were asked to wait on the side and the blue balls that prevent others from skipping in line were removed. While the situation of those who crashed was handled, others who were waiting in line behind us were told to wait as well. However, because they never left the line, when everything was fixed, those of us who were first and had already paid were made to get back at the very end of the line. Those who were originally behind us ended up going first. I spoke with the lady asking why we couldn't just go back in the way we were asked to move out. She said she apologized but there was nothing to do other than wait in line. At least they didn't charge us twice. read more

We love the car wash, but have to fight for the (FREE) vacuum afterwards. Vehicles are entering the exit to use the FREE vacuums, without washes, more than half of the cars in the vacuum section are not washed. This is a very busy location. Our suggestion would be to enforce free vacuum with wash. The Free vacuum non-customers are here before we get here and are still there detailing their interiors when we leave. read more

I really like this car wash. I buy a $20 monthly pass and I get my car washed about five to seven times a month. Also they have free vacuuming. If I break it down, the cost per wash is $4 or less per visit. You can't beat that! Tremendous value. Its nice having a car that is always clean! read more

Not worth the chance of your car being ruined. Cancelled my membership after the first month because my car trim on the tire well was pulled out of place. I'm lucky it wasn't worse. I just had to get some replacement clips at Autozone to put it back in place. Before that incident on a different day, I saw that a VW beetle's right headlamp was completely pulled off. Someone in the car had to go back into the wash to look for the headlamp. I saw that they had to sign some form, I guess put in a claim? read more

I had a horrible experience at the wash in San Juan, TX. I went through the car wash, and my rear bumper was hanging on the passenger side. I filed a claim, and I just got a call from "Liz" who told me that they weren't going to help with the repair. "Liz" sent me pictures of my bumper before I went through, and claim that my bumper was at fault, because supposedly my bumper was sticking out already. I can't seem to see what they see. I washed my 2017 Yukon in the san juan blue wave, my vehicle was scratched up from hood to the top of vehicle! Liz from claim office sent me pictures of my supposedly scratches already there! She sent me pictures of the scratches that I can't see them, I told sent her pictures of my vehicle! She claims that they were there already! I ask for her supervisor she says she services the whole state of Texas, there is no one above her!!! read more

BACKGROUND ON BUSINESS PRACTICE: BlueWave Express Carwash is a carwash where a motor vehicle driver enters the carwash tunnel and is pulled out of the tunnel by a mechanical platform. As the driver drives up to the tunnel an employee and business signs give instructions for the driver to enter the tunnel and stop on a moving platform which will lock the vehicle's wheels. The instructions are then for the driver to place the vehicle in neutral and for the driver not to touch the steering wheel or pedals. The machine now has complete control of the vehicle and it begins to pull it past mechanical washing machines and eventually towards the exit of the tunnel. There are vehicles in front and in back of your vehicle and they are also being pulled towards the exit. Once a driver gets to the exit, platform releases the vehicle and the driver is instructed to drive forward. However, while in the tunnel all the drivers inside can't stop the vehicles from moving. If there is a problem where the vehicle can't exit or an unsafe condition develops, employees have an emergency shut off to avoid collisions, damage, and/or injuries. COMPLAINT: On July 3rd 2019, My family and I decided to use the BlueWave service. We followed the instructions by the employee and the business signs. We entered the carwash tunnel. Trust of proper care and safe control of my vehicle was placed on BlueWave. As we were reaching the end, a 2019 Jeep Compass in front of us stopped moving. My vehicle and the vehicles behind me kept being pulled forward. The employees were negligent in not stopping the machines due to the emergency. My 2016 Toyota Rav4 was pushed into the Jeep. After one collision the machine continued to pull the vehicles behind me forward (continued negligence). My Toyota was struck from behind by a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban. The Jeep moved forward and I was able to get out of the tunnel. There was major damage to my Toyota. I called the police for a report and filed a complaint with the carwash employees. BUSINESS REPONSE: On July 9, 2019 local car wash manager "Danny" left me a voicemail denying responsibility. This a business which takes complete control of vehicles as they pass thru their tunnel. They were negligent in stopping the machine when there was a problem inside the tunnel. I called him back several times but "Danny" did not answer. On July 24, 2019 I called their corporate office and advised them of the incident. Regional manager "Rick Fuentes" called me afterwards. I advised him of my situation and he said he would get back to me. I have a vehicle with major damage to the rear in which the door won't close. This car wash sucks!! Came here to get all the bugs off of the front of our Grill told the guy to give it extra special spray. We had to go through twice, we asked him to use a brush or rag and he said they don't use a brush or rag. Very disappointed!!! read more

had a very unpleasant experience at said carwash. last week, my pickup truck's sideview mirror was knocked off and filed a report. i had to go in because they don't get back to you. took my wife with me because truck is hers and they wouldn't let her view video since i filed the report. long story short, i felt they tried skirting responsibility on flimsy video that doesn't show evidence my vehicle was already damaged. Manager became easily defensive and unprofessional when my wife strongly expressed her displeasure of their decision. one thing led to another when manager threatened to call police but quickly rescinded. it was totally unnecessary. i complained about his customer service and professionalism in dealing with this incident and his behavior towards my wife. he said nothing more could be done and pointed to signs on property but i insisted on writing a letter or email to management which i intend to do. read more
