    Breakfast Burrito
    Anna H.

It's probably easier to find parking at the Century City Mall than there is to find a brunch spot in Santa Monica that won't burn your wallet, but fortunately Blueys is still in an affordable range. Plus I love the surfer shack vibes! I got a ham breakfast burrito, which was very filling -- although I was very confused because mine had green onions? While it wasn't what I expected, I now think that green onions in breakfast burritos are elite. Mine also came like 10 minutes before everyone else's (they got chorizo) and mine was barely toasted compared to theirs. The service was very off-putting, though -- the person at the cashier was genuinely the only employee there who didn't sound like a mean girl. I understand that the 10am brunch hour is insanely busy but we are also trying our best to stay out of your way in the small walkways

Checked out Blueys for the very first time and had a good experience. The food was fresh and the drinks were good. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo which was filling. They have vegan chorizo as well which is great. The service was quick and friendly with a hipster vibe. Cool meet up spot for groups.

Cute brunch spot. They have lots of outdoor space & there were many doggos. They even have water bowls for the furry friends. You order at the counter first & they bring the food to you. The line moved fast and the service was good. For drinks, my friend got an iced pumpkin spice latte which she loved & I got a hot choco latte w/ pistachio milk. It was good but could've been hot/warmer. For food, my friend got the breakfast burrito w/ chorizo & bacon, it tasted great! I think avocado would be a great addition if you're considering it. I got the whirley bowl w/ skirt steak instead of the fish. It was so colorful, tasted deliciously healthy. While the steak was yummy, next time, I would go with the original fish it comes with. I can see the flavors going so well with fish.

What a great little spot. The food was amazing. Loved the Sweet Squash pancakes and the Chirizo burrito. The spicy sause was just the right amount of heat.

Cute laid back place! You order at the counter, grab a seat and your food is delivered to the table. Came for brunch on Saturday around 12 and it wasn't horribly busy. We ordered a chicken sandwich and the sweet squash pancakes. Both delish! The pancakes were very unique - they came with syrup but def not needed since they a a tad sweetened as is.

Delicious! Was looking for a healthier breakfast and tried the Bowl formally known as... Very yummy mix of flavors and textures. Always looking for something I can't do at home and this checked that box! Coffee was also great. Just walked over to pick up my order but the place looked super inviting. Lots of families, dogs, and bike riders enjoying a nice sunny California winter morning.

Delicious brunch after some volunteer work in Santa Monica! We ordered the squash pancakes and the breakfast burrito to share, a strawberries with chocolate latte, strawberry matcha, and some fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was super yummy! The line to order was a bit long but the food came out super fast. There's indoor and outdoor seating, but it was such a nice day that we sat outdoors. Very relaxing, beach-inspired decor. I will definitely be coming back.

    On the Verde smoothie

Blueys serves healthy food that tastes healthy. I was in a party of 4 and I ordered the Sweet Squash Pancakes for the table, and a Breakfast Burrito with Avocado and the On the Verde smoothie for myself. The rest of the party had 2 Tahini Caesar salads with grilled chicken and an Ancient Grain salad with market fish and a What a Little Mango smoothie. The smoothies were fresh and pure, no added sugar. I liked the use of oaxacan cheese in the breakfast burrito. The sweet squash pancakces were a nice texture, and nothing on this dish was too sweet. The food is very decent, but for me a little under-seasoned overall. The portions are solid - I could have stopped at eating half and taken the other half away and been satisfied. I chose to finish mine, and was full but not stuffed. My friends all took some home with them. You order at the counter, and then you get a number and food is brought to your table. There are a few tables inside with more tables set up on an outdoor patio. The patio is right next to the parking lot, which is a little bit narrow and sometimes you have cars exiting parking spaces right up against the fence next to the seating area. It's very casual and not too loud. It's on the pricey side for what it is. Our bill came out to $159 including tax and tip. There's a relatively limited amount of free parking in the lot right next to the outdoor seating area, and there's also some street parking available nearby. I didn't have an issue finding a space at noon on a Tuesday. I think Blueys is particularly great for the health-conscious. I left feeling like I had eaten a healthy meal. I personally prefer stronger flavors than what I experienced here, but to each their own!

Stopped by for breakfast. The atmosphere was lively,l & the food was delicious. They even have homemade salsa which was a plus!

One of the best avocado toasts I've ever had! My boyfriend loved his omelette too. We stopped by on a Sunday morning and were surprised by how uncrowded it was. The seating is mostly outside and there's plenty. Parking might get tricky during peak hours though since most of the spots close by are reserved for other businesses.

The food is pretty decent and the place is chill. Had the iced horchata latte which was yummy, squash pancakes and the breakfast burrito between the two of us. Takes about 30-40 min to get your good on weekends because it gets busy but they have a very small kitchen. Took away one star because of the one older male Hispanic employee who had an attitude for no reason. Threw our plates on the table with an annoyed face and I asked for an extra plate and he rolled his eyes. Never brought the plate. When he brought our drinks, he spilled a lot of my drink. No apology or anything. Just attitude for no reason. Kinda kills the experience. You pay to go out to eat and tip when you're ordering at a counter and yet get treated like this. Kinda mind boggling. Think my 4 stars is pretty generous.

I am so lucky to have a man who finds us the cutest places to visit because this place is super cute! We happen to be in the area and so happy we got to stop in for brunch. We ordered a soyrizo breakfast burrito and an egg and bacon sandwich. The eggs on the sandwich were perfectly runny and the burrito was so so good. We didn't try their coffee (shocking I know) but they have a good selection too. The only thing that was a little confusing was their parking. Although there's an open lot it was difficult to figure out where to park since most spaces were reserved. But we found metered parking which wasn't too bad. Happy eating!

The back patio is especially lovely; modern yet cozy, with thoughtful decor. The food blends California-fresh ingredients with Turkish and Middle Eastern flair. The drink menu is equally fun, with a unique variety of milks like pistachio and walnut, paired with creative beverage options. I was seated outside with a view of a busy road intersection, which made for nice people watching. The menu didn't have any stand-out dishes that you couldn't find at any other brunch place and there were barely any savory vegetarian options. I went with the Napa scramble. The scramble itself was very heavy on the spinach and light on the sun-dried tomatoes, which made for a not great texture and duller flavor. I did appreciate the bites with the creamy, tangy goat cheese. The toast was just ok and the strawberry jam it came with was very runny. I did enjoy the fresh greens on the side that were lightly dressed.

A little on the watery side. Chicken bites came out in about 15 minutes. The coating had a very satisfying crunch, very saucy, but fell off the chicken easily and was a bit salty. This is a messy dish for sure. You will get your hands dirty! Chorizo Benedict came out about 30 minutes after order. Not great honestly. Portion size was generous. The eggs were poached decently, still runny, but the chorizo itself was bland and rather dry. The potatoes were room temperature. The bread a bit too chewy. Not AT ALL spicy. Super light on the pico de gallo. The service was rather slow for not being very busy. They didn't appear to be understaffed either. The location itself is cozy and not too loud, which is nice! Short walk from down town. The staff was kind, but boy were they slow. From being seated to paying for my meal was well over an hour! Automatic 2.5% "service fee" total was $46.50 before tip. I don't think I'll be returning unfortunately. The search for a good Benedict in LA area continues!

This place is charming and we got sat indoors overlooking the pool. It really felt like I was in another city somewhere. The servers and hosts were very attentive and very helpful answering any questions. Everything everyone ate look absolutely fantastic. Drinks: sunset spritz was a wonderful spin on the classic aperol but it had Vodka in it so it gave it an extra kick, but did not taste boozy. I also had the cucumber marg and our server asked me if I would like some Jalapeno slices in it and it really elevated the whole experience. Apps: the PEI mussels were beautifully arranged and the curry sauce that it in was very flavorful. I highly recommend this as a starter. The steak tartar was a whole show, the server walked out with a glass case that was ultra smoky, which they opened in front of you. It was a dinner and a show!! The tartar was very delicious. If you're a tartar fan, you have to get this. Wedge salad deserves it's only paragraph! It was huge, the pecans were a nice touch. I am not a fan of blue cheese dressing but it was not at all over powering. It was absolutely incredible. Mains: we ordered the branzino and these short ribs and both were cooked to perfection. The branzino had a perfect char to the skin and the server recommended the short ribs with mashed potatoes versus what it comes with which was shave carrots. The majority of the food and drinks were on special that ended 6 p m. If you do go I highly recommend going before 6.
