Major let down. Chicken burrito was like if you take a Trader Joe's wrap, toast it on the outside and mark up the price 3x. Took forever for some reason, was cold in the center and I watched 2 tables who ordered after me get their food first. Annoying. Blueys habenero hot sauce advertised as "espicy espicy" on the bottle. Not so. And many bottles on the patio are just left out in the sun. Gross. Mango smoothie, similar story. I liked the fresh mint but using unripe, frozen mango makes for a bland smoothie. There's a self-serve water station with comically small water glasses and the water's not even chilled. Seems like a ploy to force you to buy something out of their fridge. Spent over 30 dollars on a solo lunch and left hungry. The food on the other tables looked Instagramable so if that's what you're looking for then fine, give it a shot. food: we got the Sweet Squash Pancakes + the Skirt Steak Sandwich and it was so so so yummy. the sweet squash pancake had the perfect sweetness and it pairs so well with the creamy avocado spread. the syrup wasn't even needed because the sweetness level was just right!!! literally the best pancake i've ever tasted!! the skirt steak sandwich had a really savory and rich sauce however the steak was a bit tough to chew on. however, the steak was very juicy with a smoky depth to it. service: service is first come, first serve for seating so it's pretty casual. you order and pay first before finding a table which keeps things moving very fast so the wait wasn't long. it also wasn't hard to find a table despite it being a saturday lunch time. the staff was really helpful with recommendations and took the time to explain the menu which made the experience feel special despite the self serve type of setup. there's a small free parking outside the restaurant but also meter parking on the side so finding parking was not hard at all! ambiance: there was a section of indoor and outdoor seating which made the ambiance seem more casual but still intimate. we sat outdoors and it was great for enjoying the weather. there was a casual, easygoing vibe that made it a good spot to hang out and chat with friends. read more

Blueys serves healthy food that tastes healthy. I was in a party of 4 and I ordered the Sweet Squash Pancakes for the table, and a Breakfast Burrito with Avocado and the On the Verde smoothie for myself. The rest of the party had 2 Tahini Caesar salads with grilled chicken and an Ancient Grain salad with market fish and a What a Little Mango smoothie. The smoothies were fresh and pure, no added sugar. I liked the use of oaxacan cheese in the breakfast burrito. The sweet squash pancakces were a nice texture, and nothing on this dish was too sweet. The food is very decent, but for me a little under-seasoned overall. The portions are solid - I could have stopped at eating half and taken the other half away and been satisfied. I chose to finish mine, and was full but not stuffed. My friends all took some home with them. You order at the counter, and then you get a number and food is brought to your table. There are a few tables inside with more tables set up on an outdoor patio. The patio is right next to the parking lot, which is a little bit narrow and sometimes you have cars exiting parking spaces right up against the fence next to the seating area. It's very casual and not too loud. It's on the pricey side for what it is. Our bill came out to $159 including tax and tip. There's a relatively limited amount of free parking in the lot right next to the outdoor seating area, and there's also some street parking available nearby. I didn't have an issue finding a space at noon on a Tuesday. I think Blueys is particularly great for the health-conscious. I left feeling like I had eaten a healthy meal. I personally prefer stronger flavors than what I experienced here, but to each their own! read more

Took away one star because of the one older male Hispanic employee who had an attitude for no reason. Threw our plates on the table with an annoyed face and I asked for an extra plate and he rolled his eyes. Never brought the plate. When he brought our drinks, he spilled a lot of my drink. No apology or anything. Just attitude for no reason. Kinda kills the experience. You pay to go out to eat and tip when you're ordering at a counter and yet get treated like this. Kinda mind boggling. I am so lucky to have a man who finds us the cutest places to visit because this place is super cute! We happen to be in the area and so happy we got to stop in for brunch. We ordered a soyrizo breakfast burrito and an egg and bacon sandwich. The eggs on the sandwich were perfectly runny and the burrito was so so good. I wasn't expecting such a beachy vibe in the direct that's it in because it's around so many buildings and lots. Now for the food: Fried egg sandwich substitute with vegan chorizo 7.5/10: I really enjoyed that I was able to substitute vegan chorizo in this sandwich and it was pretty tasty. I will say! Fried egg sandwich (regular) 8.5/10: great sandwich! Matcha Horchata Latte 8.5/10: I enjoyed how you can actually taste the Horchata inside the latte sometimes it can be very watered down, but this was a beautiful mixture of Matcha and Horchata flavor! Over I would visit this restaurant again since I live so close to it! They have limited outdoor seating and minimal indoor seating. Anytime the parents are in town, the answer is Blueys brunch. I have been going here for great vibes for almost 5 years now, and am never disappointed. Tucked away in a lil alleyway, you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy fresh Aussie food and coffee. Everything on the menu is relatively simple, but done extremely well. The sweet squash pancakes are heavy and perfect to split among a group when ordering something lighter. In the past I have ordered the breakfast burrito and the bowl formerly known as. All the plates are solid choices, but the sweet, lightness of the açaí bowl was just right. The turmeric latte was pretty and tasted exactly how it should, unfortunately the earthy taste is not for me. Parking can be a bit tough as the lot behind the restaurant has limited space.
