I tried to be positive about it, and I'm sure the parade and " Bluffton Idol" and the bands were fun, but the actual midway? NOPE. Here's just a sample of this year's prices: Wristband : 30.00 1 ticket= 1.50. Most rides are 2, 3,4, tickets making it up to 6.00 a ride with no wristband. Fish sandwich, no drink : 10.00 grilled Ham and cheese : 15.00 Grab a duck and get a prize game: 5.00 and 10.00 if you want small prize or big prize. Lemonade in a keeper cup: 8.00. Took one drink and poured it in the ditch. Was pure white sugar, no lemon taste at all. Carnival folk were smoking, toothless and dirty. Rides, had to sanitize granddaughters hands after each. I could smell the dirt smell on the merry go round pole. Her horse rattled up and down, not smoothly. I saw maybe 5 booths in which to buy something and those were all junk jewelry, tie dye, stuffed animals, knives. Did I notice all this when I was little and went? No, it was magical.
