It turned out to be the best idea we'd been given, because this bridal boutique is run by the nicest, most knowledgeable, approachable and helpful women you could meet. It's a small premises, but that only serves to make it feel intimate and inviting, and not at all daunting or pretentious, but a place that you can feel comfortable in - and it's stylishly decorated and tasteful too. My friend was given as much time as she needed to try on dresses, and unlike some other places, there was no limit as to how many she was allowed to try on. In the end she chose the most beautiful Augusta Jones dress that flattered and just made her look like a princess. I would definitely recommend Laboda as a place to look for that ideal dress - they are professional, helpful and really know thier stuff.

The girl i was dealing with had long dark hair and completely up her own backside (she didn't give me her name) she spent more time looking at herself and around her rather than pay attention to the one person she was supposed to! I am a normal size 14 and was made to feel like this place wasn't ''suited'' for me! when i asked about shapes of dresses the reply i got was''tha'ts pretty much all we do'' i couldn't believe the attitude i got from this place as i was a paying customer they should be grateful of anyone walking through the door especially when the items they could be potentially buying aren't exactly cheap!!! I found a gorgeous dress here and beautiful bridesmaids dresses and decided against buying them as i refused to give these arrogant people any money! i have 4 bridesmaids so therefore because of their attitude they have lost out on the guts of 3 grand!!! Let me start off by saying as a 21 year old male, the only way I want to see anything bridal coming my way is my girlfriend dressed in a slinky garter-y number, not because of any actual desire to get married! This is definitely not the kind of place I would ever go into normally, but once I knew her I called in one day to chat and was able to see her work: she does excellent bridal wear. Everything is customised and made on site, and she will endeavour to do anything she can to make the woman and their little marriage slaves (or bridesmaids as they are more commonly known) look as glamorous as possible. Advice though: book appointments ahead of time, she is a very busy lady indeed!

I went to this…read moreshop to try on the Enzoani dress that they feature on their website,I called before my appointment to check that they had this particular dress and was told they had. When we arrived and I showed the lady the picture she told me they actually didn't have that dress in the shop. Not to worry,I thought, I'll just try on another few dresses and see if there was anything that I liked. It's worth noting that I had my appointment 3 months after I had my son, however, I was still wearing my size 8 jeans as I didn't gain very much weight during my pregnancy other than my bump and maybe slightly round my hips. I tried on a few dresses and they all had to be pinned at the back. I believe most sample sizes in the shop were a 12. The eighth dress I tried on I fell in love with. This particular sample dress was a size 12 and fit quite well. It is also worth noting that the lady that took my measurements was 'standing in' to help out. So she measured me up,didn't tell me any sizes,nor was there a size on the sheet I signed for the dress to be ordered. I had said that I was a size 8 normally however,may have had a bit of baby weight around my tummy and hips which wouldn't be there in a years time. The size 12 dress would definitely have needed to be taken in, even if I didn't have baby weight to lose. I had put my trust in this lady to take my measurements correctly. I turned up to pick up my dress 2 months before my wedding and almost cried when I tried the dress on.....they had ordered me a size 14......the dress was massive on me but the lady reassured me that a dress maker can take in a dress up to 3 sizes and it wouldn't be a problem so I signed for the dress and went to a dress fitter to get the alterations made. When the dress fitter had pinned everything to my figure the shoulders were hanging off mine and the back was completely gaping. She said there was nothing she could do about this as it was because the dress was wider as it was a size 14. Obviously I went into panic mode,less than two months to the wedding and i have a dress that does not fit my frame. We contacted LA Bridal and they refused to accept any responsibility saying that due to my 'excessive weight loss' it was not their fault. I have pictures of me in the shop that day in size 8 jeans and in the size 12 sample dress which was too big and I can assure you that I was nowhere near a size 14,and there certainly wasn't any excessive weight loss. Luckily we found the dress in a size 10 in another bridal shop who were an amazing help (Petticoat Lane in Hillsborough) and I was able to wear a dress that fit beautifully on one of the most special days of my life. However we have had to pay twice and we now have a size 14 wedding dress we do not need. AVOID this shop at all costs, I'm not usually a complainer but thanks to this bridal shop my special day was almost ruined. They have taken no responsibility

From the minute we climbed up to the first floor and walked in we were treated really well by Jamesy and his team. There were waistcoats of every colour and material as well as cravats and suits of fabulous cuts, colours, materials and sizes. Jamesy had a great eye and took into consideration our needs and wants before recommending a fabulous suit for my fiancé. I expressed concern about shoes and he informed me that they provide everything and not to worry a bit. They are a little on the expensive side but when you get great service and good advice it doesn't seem to matter - I booked all seven suits for my wedding! As we left Jamesy even advised us where to go for dinner in the area. All in all, a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this establishment to all grooms to be.

She does have little frilly satin knickers for sale which can have anything you want stitched on the bum - They take a few weeks and cost £69.00 with Mrs whatever or £59 if it's 'just married' on the bottom. I might splash out on these. The shop also sells really cool tights with designs and print on them, I have never seen these around Belfast before and will be sure to be telling my cool mate who would love them.
