Sales good! Service pathetic and frustrating You will be sorry like me if you go with BMW. I got a new 2018 X3, engine light came on within 3 months and BMW Toronto is holding the car for 2 days without any progress. Apparently it's a 48-72 hour wait before you are told what's wrong with your vehicle, forget getting it fixed. Their service managers don't even bother to update you on what's going on for days. You are better off going to a local garage and paying them to fix a new vehicle. Consider this before buying a BMW. I'm sorry BMW but this is RIDICULOUS!! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! we have purchased a total of 7 BMWs from a few different dealerships... This particular incident happened on the 2nd time we purchased a car from BMW toronto. After agreeing to the terms, I had to be in the states on business so I signed everything and told them that I'd pick the car up on a specific date a month later. Once I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I found scuff marks on the bumper that was not there prior (I have the pictures to prove it). The initial response from the manager was "It's a used car, these things happen". This was a shocking response to what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. Not only was the car not in the same shape as it was when I signed for it, they didn't have both keys ready for me. They had one whole month to have the keys ready. They insisted that the other key will arrive to me in the mail. I called them many times for the spare key. Of course, they shunned me off. FOUR months later, the key arrives and it's not programmed to my car. I take it to BMW GrandRiver in Kitchener (BEST DEALERSHIP) and they told me that it was unheard of that they give me a spare key that's not even programmed to my car. After all of this garbage, I found out that they had sold me a car with a broken PISTON! Bmw Grand River found this out for me and was surprised that BMW Toronto sold this car under these conditions as it was incredibly unsafe. I have tried to call the managers of BMW toronto, and of course, they shun me again. 1 year after the purchase of the car I get a phone call from BMW toronto asking how I like my car. I spend 30 mins explaining the issues I have had, and the woman promises to get back to me. No response as usual. We are huge BMW fans but we will never buy anything from this dealership again, and everyone who asks us about our vehicles, we will recommend BMW grandRiver in Kitchener where the staff (sales & service) really go above and beyond. Hi folks, Unfortunately I have to change my review for this dealership due service I have received lately. This is review is only for service department and members. To begin my story I have BMW under extended warranty which expires on October, 2017. One day I was driving my "ultimate experience" vehicle and I saw engine light, I decided to make an appointment for service. I dropped off my vehicle to the dealer and later on I received a call with explanation that there is some issue with pump which is understandable but then lady on the phone advised me that my warranty expired last month which does not make any logical sense since inservice warranty started in October. I asked to double check and she said there are 3 different dates of expiration!! and the don't have time to check around , I said sure Ill pick it up and deal with another dealer. When I got there to pickup the vehicle I have been given so much attitude and I have been charged for "diagnostic fee"!? Whatever, when I got to my house I called BMW Canada and representative has confirmed that my warranty expires on October, 2017 so I asked why is this dealer did not bother to check and provide with customer service which I still did not get any response. It makes me think that these dealer only worries to sell you car and period. Almost 2 weeks lated I got voicemail saying BMW Canada has contacted BMW Toronto and my mates has been resolved and I can drop off my vehicle anytime to do service. The employees working here are unprofessional and absolutely rude! My husband went into this location after work with the intention of buying the X5. We currently own a Mercedes ML 350 and he was in there with the intention of adding to our little family He was in his work clothes as he did just come from the job site. I can only assume this is the reason why he was treated the way he was. Not only did they completely ignore him, but when he finally managed to chase one of them down, he was spoken to in a condescending manner and then left waiting for over half an hour! The employees were standing around talking and laughing amongst themselves so I don't believe they were swamped with customers. When he asked if someone was coming to help him, he was blown off AGAIN and he finally left. read more

Do not buy a used BMW from this place. We bought a 4 year old x1 . (Previously I had bought a car at Town and Country in Richmond Hill and car has been great. ). After 1 month the X1 broke down leaving my wife stranded in cottage country. It was towed to the Mississauga dealership who said it was the spark plugs and that the car should have had those replaced . Hmmm? It was covered by the original warranty . Then putting winter tires on we discover the rim was cracked and front brakes needed replacing. They do not stand by product. No one at BMW Toronto cared ... I also have 535 GT and they charge a fortune for service and act like it is nothing. Annual service with be 2-3k. I am going to try Bimmersport. read more

Not very impressed at all. Went in looking for knowledgeable, competent staff, and was very disappointed. I already knew I wanted to lease a new car. Had already done some research, knew what I wanted, and knew that there was a voluntary recall of N20 and N26 -powered vehicles, and that the dealerships were instructed NOT to SELL or DELIVER these vehicles until they were fixed. The sales rep first tried to sell me a USED (DEMO) car when I already told him I wanted a new one. Tried to tell me it was actually NEW, even though the lease offer said it was USED (DEMO). Asked him how many km were on it -- he didn't know. In the end he couldn't even figure out where on earth the car was, so he couldn't even try to ask someone to check whether it was USED (DEMO) or USED (DEMO) BUT ACTUALLY NEW. Whatever. Then I asked about the recall. He basically blew it off. Either he didn't know, or didn't care, that some vehicles weren't supposed to be sold at all until they were fixed. He basically said you can pick up your new car and drive it, and bring it back when you get the recall letter. I checked with another dealership -- this is NOT what the dealerships have been instructed to do. They've been asked not to sell those vehicles. Finally I looked carefully at the lease contract. In order to get to the monthly payments that I wanted, he just pushed numbers around. How dumb does he think the customers are?! So insulting. I've used this dealership's service department before, and they're "ok". No major complaints. I would not recommend purchasing or leasing a car from them though. read more

I wish they had a zero star rating option here. Because this is what I would give this BMW location. I bought my car at a different location a few years ago and this dealership was the closest one to my house. I had a mechanical issue with my car and brought it in for service on a Monday morning. They didn't touch my car that day so when I came back it wasn't fixed. They told me to drive it home and bring it back the next day. This happened three times that week. I thought they had fixed it by the third time as they said they did but this was not true. I had to bring about the following week another two additional times. What a nightmare! Service staff here are incredibly rude, unprofessional and they really don't care about customer service whatsoever. The only person that was actually nice was the receptionist. I thought perhaps this was isolated to the service department but it turns out that this is not the case. I came back for a part a few months later and the parts counter staff were just as rude and confrontational. I simply wanted to purchase a part! I didn't need the attitude. I have decided that my next car won't be a BMW - I'm going with another luxury car retailer. What a terrible experience! read more

I came to test drive a used car and it was located on a floor not outside so I was basically told I'm not allowed to. The logic would be to keep new cars inside and the used cars that people would want to test drive outside so customers like me who are interested in purchasing a vehicle don't get sent home and shop elsewhere. read more

Horrific experience. I bought a pre-owned vehicle from them, and the process of delivery was great. It felt like I was picking up a new car from the factory. I was in heaven, with a vehicle that I had searched a while for and what appeared to be the right place to experience that joy with. However, within a few days of driving the car, it was apparent that the car had an issue and I returned to have it checked. Initially I was told that they would check and correct, considering it was so close to the sale of the vehicle. But after service confirmed the problems and determined the costs of repair, the pre-owned manager refused to pay for it, even though the car had the problems before the sale. Discussions were had and I was told that I was "out of luck" considering it wasn't sold with a warranty. Escalations resulted in an offer to discount the repair cost or return the car for a refund. It was very clear that the issue was there beforehand, the car wasn't checked properly and there was an utter disregard for courtesy and customer service. I loved the vehicle that I purchased - one of a kind to be honest - but I couldn't process the lack of bad faith with the situation. After agreeing to the refund, I asked the pre-owned manager why they weren't willing to repair the vehicle but provide a refund - I was told that they could fix the vehicle and sell it for more. Car dealerships are usually nothing to get excited about; you either get ignored or pressured to buy something you don't really need. However, this one really stands out, and as usual it's the staff that make it so. Sitting just off the East side of downtown this full service dealership has an entire floor for new cars, a whole floor dedicated to 2-wheel enthusiasts, a used car floor, and a BMW lifestyle shop. I recently had the pleasure to deal with Darren, now the new car sales manager, for the best sales experience I've ever had. He was helpful, informative and patient, going well beyond my expectation of service to find me the right car. And that level of service has continued well after the deal was done. If you're looking for a BMW I would highly recommend you don't go anywhere else. read more

To my alarm, my car was leaking coolant this morning and flashing warnings on my dashboard like Las Vegas. Without an appointment, I drove to BMW Toronto. No questions asked - they took the car, had the admin processed and had me shuttled to work within 10 mins with nothing but genuinely friendly communication all the way. I'm very impressed at this level of service and feel it deserves 5 stars. read more

I've had a generally abysmal experience at this dealership. Being the 3rd BMW I've owned this is by and far the worst dealership I've been to. I bought a used 328i and upon delivery the front kidney grill was damaged and the wheels were scuffed. How this slipped by service department when they had a week to prep the car is beyond me. I had to bring the car back in for them to fix this problem and they made me pay 20$ deposit to get a loaner vehicle which I've never had to do before. They did NOT refund my deposit and in fact there is another unauthorized 45$ transaction from my credit card. After the wax wore off the car there were numerous chips and deep scratched through the clear and into the paint that was covered up by the wax. This car was hosed off and barely reconditioned. read more

I had car service by a licensed mechanic who told me exactly what the issues were so I could get my car serviced under my extended warranty. When I went to them they said they didn't need my pictures. They later phoned me to ask for my pictures as they couldn't find it! They gave me a loaner only because since they closed their unit in the west end I had to drive 50KM. All I did is drive the Gardiner back and forth nothing more. When i returned it they said i completely damaged one of the rim and they would automatically charge my credit card which they did. There is nobody of any authority to deal with customer complaints and they absolutely don't care. I have owned many of their cars for years, never again. Luckily there are lots of other choices and better companies. They are already in the news at CBC, I will just make sure I add my story to it. read more

This is the third of many bad experiences with this dealership. I first made the huge mistake to get a BMW after my Mercedes lease ended. They are very rude and do not even compare to Mercedes in any way when it comes to service. I just got home from having my car in to replace the muffler (this is a 2016 BMW X3 M sport with 7,000 ams on it). The fact that is needs to be replaced is bad enough. Then I make the mistake to leave my wallet in the car, but think later there is no way they would actually steal from me. I happened to have $100 cash in my wallet. The minute I get the car I went to where my wallet was and wow - the cash was stolen. I went to the Manager and didn't apologize, he acted as if I was lying. I do not need to try to scheme for $100. Overall my experience with BMW from the car itself to the service has ben terrible. I also wrote a bad review for the sales guy when I bought the car and the sales rep called me to ask me what was wrong? are you serious. This is your practice. More of a 0 star review. Within a week of picking up my Audi the car had several misfires and went into limp mode. I had it checked out by an Audi tech and he pulled up the fault code history and it had the same fault on many occasions. Was told that there was no way this could/should have been missed on an inspection. I emailed the salesman, the person who did my financing and the department manager and they ALL just ignored me. Have not heard a single word from this dealership. Clearly they sold a car with mechanical issues and they knew about it. Update: Had several more issues of misfires. After many attempts of trying to contact BMW Toronto and not being able to, my emails were ignored, and i have been hung up on when i had called. I had to resort to submitting a complaint with OMVIC. Of all the times i have bought a car this is the worst experience i have had. Another update: After several hours of diagnostics and searching the issue with the car has been located, the car has a crack in the drivers side intake manifold. And it had evidence that it was patched up either by the person that traded it in or by your third party inspector or the dealership itself. The crack would have been covered under Audi warranty in normal circumstances however the car has been blacklisted by Audi and they want nothing to do with it. The fix requires the removal of complete engine assembly to replace the manifold. 2 weeks of owning the car i have invested almost 2000 dollars trying to fix this issue, now it requires at minimum another 3000. The car is the very definition of a lemon. BMW Toronto sold me a lemon. If you are buying a used car from this dealership i cant stress this enough, use extreme caution or better yet just DONT. Dont repeat my mistake. There is some very shady shit going on there. read more

Brought the car for a coolant leak, and the dealership did not want to give my 9 month pregnant wife a shuttle back because it was outside their area. We are talking next exit off the 404, instead, they dropped her off at the bus station at the peripheral of their area. Not only that, but they did not fix the issue. They patched it, waited for the car to come outside of warranty, and then charged me 1400$ for labour to fix the issue. This time I needed to take time off work. When the car was ready my wife asked for assistance moving the baby seat from their loaner to the car. She was completely ignored, and a bystander offered to help. Have worked with Maranello and Town and Country over the two decades of owning BMWs and they were always helpful, professional and they fix the issue on the first visit. Also, where most dealerships charge a diagnostics charge, but if you repair the car with them they usually waive it. Not these guys... Nice 165$ tacked on. read more

Vehicle sales and service is excellent, Motorcycle department is appalling. They never pick up the phone or respond to messages. I have 2 BMW motor cars (3 and 5 series), and a BMW F800S Motorcycle. BMW should be ashamed of the motorcycle department on what is otherwise a professional and efficient business. My 2010 5 series has had 2 recalls and my motorcycle 1 recall. I think I'll look for alternatives to BMW when my lease expires. read more

Don't dare comparison shop. They HATE that! I was in the market for a 400 series cabriolet and met with Vince Cappella for a test drive of the 428i and 435i. We met exactly once and spent about two hours together. That's it: no promises, no commitments. Over the next few weeks I did some comparison shopping. A reasonable course of action, I thought. Apparently Vince didn't. Anyways, I found a dealership that treated me very well AND came up with some pretty aggressive numbers. But, before closing a deal, I wanted to give Vince another shot. He had given me an original quote on the day of the test drive, but we had never really gotten down to negotiating the numbers. So I sent an email offering Vince a chance to re-enter the competition. I told Vince that I was looking for the best deal, and was not particular about which dealership sold me the car. Vince was clearly not happy with any of that. His email read: "I am surprised that you have been dealing with another company... You had mentioned that where you buy the car is not important to you. I suspect the person who sells the car to you is not important to you as well. I really don't want to be in competition with another dealer on pricing. So I think it may be best to continue with the relationship you have made with the other dealer." And that's what I did. Clearly, Vince didn't want or need my business - and wasn't afraid to say so in the most direct terms. His reply reads about as close to "f--- off and die" as you can get. Talk about burning bridges. So my advice is this: find another dealership that values your business. Clearly, BMW Toronto couldn't care less! read more

He came to tell us the car is sold 2 hours ago which is when we called. We even called him while we were driving down and he didn't mention the car was sold. They did agree with me my car was worth less than the repairs would be. I appreciate the honesty that accompanies that. They did acknowledge that just looking at each complaint would cost a certain separate amount of money, which was at least, quite up front. This gave me choice to pick and choose which issues were most important to fix, at this point in time. Seeing as temps have been extra-high, i went with that. They did say they hoped that the motor blower would be the solver of my woes, and understood that if i indulged in that option, i would expect to leave with the air working. When that option did not lead to my dreams, they went further and put in the true culprit, which was the motor itself, which they did not charge me for. I appreciated that they could see my budget could not override my desire for breathing, and had some empathy, as the repairs were still more than my old car is worth. Air has been working, so Aaron and Mark did come through in the end. They listened well, and could see my point of view, which believe it or not, really matters in the fixing-of-the-car situation. All of the the receptionists were great, and the drivers who take you wherever you need to go while your car is left, were above and beyond the call of duty in friendliness and willingness to chat... read more

Do not care for customers best interest - STAY AWAY!!!" Service department reps do not care for customers best interest. I have been loyal to this dealership over 10 years and have been taking my cars (2 BMWs over 10 years) for service at the same dealership only to realize they do not have their customers best interest. My BMW just came off warranty, and knowing very well the maintenance record they failed to advise the last 2 items needed that should have been taken care off while under warranty, which caused me the pay for these items after the end of warranty. I would have expected them to at least give me a heads up knowing very well the car was coming off warranty as my car was being serviced for brakes prior to the end of the warranty period; having the full service history as they have been servicing the car from day one. After a lengthy chat with their Service Dept Manager, the message received is that the customer is responsible for keeping track of these items, even in this case where they have the full service history. Why the service reps are being paid to sit around is anyone's guess. if they fail to inform the customers on the work required in a timeliy manner!! This is the response you get from this dealership for loyalty. They only care about their bottom line, not the customers best interest. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I bought a used 2009 BMW X5 from this dealership and must say that the service has been excellent from the moment I set foot in there. The car was in great condition and any outstanding issues were taken care of. Even after I noticed a couple of dents on the hood after having the car for a couple of weeks, it was all taken care of! I can't speak for all the sales guys there, but Simon took outstanding care of me and the car. Overall it was a great experience buying a used car from them, and if you are in the market for a used (or new for that matter) BMW, you should definitely consider buying the car from this dealership. read more

I went there to buy a supposedly mint (no accident, 1 owner) used car as told by the salesman over the phone. I arrived there greeted with a usual sales crap and when I ask for carproof which eventually shows 2 accidents, the arrogant salesman still trying to push me to buy the crap car at the posted price and his manager wants to pay only couple of grand for my very mint car as a trade in. And when this old arrogant sales man realized he can't fool me, he didn't even bother to stand from his ass to show where the exit is. What a BS dealer. read more

I have nothing but positive words to describe my experience with Samir Umer. From the moment I met him in the parking lot of my first visit, to the delivery of my beautiful M240i xDrive Coupe, Samir provided an exceptional level of support and guidance. In the second part of 2017 I was shopping for a new BMW 328. I did all necessary research online including Car Cost, Unhaggle and others and of course all details and history of the vehicle I wanted to purchase. I requested quotes from most of the BMW dealers around GTA but obviously most of them wanted me to come to see them so they can play their tricks on me. It was expected b/c all of the dealers are afraid of giving online quotes so they won't be outbid by another dealer. BMW Toronto was by far the worst in the way they handled my inquiry. Justin L. lied to me about the choice of options, tried to talk me down to buying something else than the car I decided for and has shown general ignorance about the product he tried to sell. I think that he prays on unsuspected/gullible snobs who just want to get a BMW for the sake of having 'an ultimate driving experience' not a reliable car for reasonable price. Avoid at all cost or you'll waste a lot of time or money. read more

Ahmed + Kristen @ BMW Toronto *** TOP NOTCH A+++ experience. We went into this dealership with our hackles up - expecting to be hard sold, pressured to commit - or ignored completely. We received the total opposite in every way dealing with Ahmed and Kristen from the moment we walked in. Ahmed was incredibly informative, with zero pressure, and actually ended up giving us promotions and incentives that we didn't even know about (after much research) VOLUNTARILY. He saved us over $7.5K....more than four thousand more than we had found online and through hours of research and calling around. After the initial model we test drove had higher payments than we were looking for with the options we wanted, Ahmed suggested looking at the 3 Series X Drive line due to the incentives and promotions currently available for that model. Within a day and a half we had multiple options to choose from, spec sheets, photos and pricing. Each option had MORE than we wanted for significantly LESS MONEY than our initial budget. He was incredibly responsive at all hours of the day and night for every little question we had. The total opposite of what we had expected (and the total opposite of what we had encountered at every other dealership). We were given an incredibly favourable credit for our non BWM trade in, and delivery of the vehicle in two days. Kristen spent an hour and a half on the day of delivery (with a big red bow on the car when it was presented to us!) walking us through all of the paperwork and then walking us through every option in the car, setting up our phones, bluetooth and driver preferences. We're incredibly over the moon with our lease - finding out there were additional upgrades on the vehicle we didn't think were included even - and to top it all off, were presented with a gift certificate as a thank you to buy some additional swag at the BMW Lifestyle store. A totally positive under promise-over deliver experience from start to finish. We won't hesitate to recommend this team to any and everyone looking. 1000% the best car experience we've had ever. read more

My 2014 640 grand coupe had an AC leak brought the car in. After picking up my car, I was told no falsely leak was found and ask after two weeks return for follow up. Asked if they've already booked me in, advisor directed me to the service counter to book. I went there and the lady advise you have to call a "special number upstairs". Handed me card, asked if they can phone for me and she did with not a pleasent mannor anyways afterall the line was busy. Customer service is bar far nonexistent in this dealership and management reasoning is, it's a busy dealership. Sales sells the first car, service thereafter, it seems this dealership doesn't get what's called to go the extra mile. What would've been really nice, to say Mr customer your scheduled to be returned in two weeks and here's a date we've selected for you unless you wish to change and I can help you with that. Instead they made me go from advisor to the counter just to learn I must call a "special number" that was busy line. They for sure have no clue of what customer experiance means nor care to learn. read more
