Really tasty food options here, unfortunately the beer selection was limited to three choices but they were each very tasty. Ordered the wings which were very filling and tasty. I could not have been more impressed with this place. It started with the building and then followed with incredible service, food, and drinks. I had our server (Carrie) recommend 3 beers for me. As a Brewmaster I always test the knowledge of the people who serve me beer. Her knowledge of the beers she recommended and served was the best I have come across. She then brought samples of 6 others and knew them extremely well. I highly recommend their Cascade hopped beer - their best seller. After she gained my trust from her choice of beer, I asked her to pick the two best appetizers. Their fish tacos and mushroom sauce with bread (not sure the name of the dish) was exceptional. They then offered to give myself, my girlfriend, and the other couples we were with a private tour of their brewhouse. Ok listen up: BNA is bomb. As in, best ever, you'll never experience love like this again. Boyfriend and I finally got to stop in after hearing how amazing it was for weeks. We popped into the tasting room next door first, which has a cute, kitschy vibe with old mirrors, mounted animal heads, and lots of amazing beer! We tried a flight, including their Earl Grey beer, their blood orange beer (Blood Sugar Hops Magic - best name ever!) and two others that were also great but let's just take a moment to discuss one of the best beers I've ever had. Earl Grey. In beer. Yes, it works SO well. It's not heavy, it's a light, fragrant, hoppy beer that just totally blindsided me with deliciousness! I highly recommend you try it if you can. Next door has a gorgeous little patio area with lights strung up over it, lending it a dreamy, romantic vibe. The inside is an outstanding feat of beautiful design - two floors tall with exposed beams, soft lighting, and very carefully arranged seating, it's casual and intimate while simultaneously being fancy and a party spot - no mean feat. Downstairs has booths around the outside, and a mish-mash of seating inside - anything from a wooden bench to oversized armchairs! There's also a shuffleboard table, and the menu board is designed like a movie title display - so cool. Upstairs has a long table, and again a bunch of quirky chairs from chaise longues to comfy sofas. There's also an indoor bocce court (YES!!!) and a long bar area beside it where you can look over the rest of the space and people watch/talk about how you're going to slide over the edge and sit on the moose head below you... no? Just me? Ok... We tried the zucchini fries, ramen, and heirloom tomato salad; yes, it's a little pricey but not very different from most spots. The portions are a little small, but that can also be a good thing - you can try more! All three dishes were excellent and the heirloom salad was bursting with flavour and juicy pieces of tomato! I could have had three. We had a slight issue with the ramen which we mentioned to our server - she apologised profusely then fetched the manager who again apologised, then brought us a gift card! The service was way, way above and beyond - we were extremely impressed! This is truly an incredible gem that could easily compete in Vancouver, San Francisco, or New York. BNA is one of the first places we came to in Kelowna and we love it. We've been back several times. The food is fresh and delicious, very very well executed and thought out. They must have a great chef. Most of the stars here go towards the food. We were very impressed. They play good music and although it's a HUGE space, they've made it feel cozy. It's always quite busy, had 2 floors and the service so far has been nothing less than fantastic. One thing: I really wish they would be open for Saturday and/or Sunday brunch!!! They'd make a killing, and we would be there every weekend. Think about it, BNA. **this is an update: BNA is still just as fantastic as before. It was a packed Saturday evening, but we still managed to find some comfy chairs. I really liked the space, with its tall ceilings and wooden beams - very light and airy in the summer. The food was delicious, and though they had run out of several of their own beers, the ones we did manage to taste were tasty. Fun place to hang out on a Friday night. We had dinner and the food was average. Service was friendly but slow. Drinks were good!

I had the grilled cheese/tomato soup and it was SO GOOD! Worth going back for more. There's a fun vibe in the restaurant and it had people of all ages there. If I could give zero stars, I would. I totally understand having to wait for a table for 7 to open up on Saturday night, but an hour and a half wait is ridiculous. Finally once we got seated, a server came by and said they'd give us free dessert or free drinks for waiting so long and being patient. Great. Except we waited another hour and a half for our food, which we decided was not worth waiting for and left before we even got it. Nothing was comp'd off of our bill, except we were given "one free beer" at our next visit because the general manager said he "wanted us to come back again" this was a terrible experience, especially since we were celebrating a birthday. So we come in as an 8 top on vacation, expecting a really good dining experience, but we got the opposite, the server doesn't care, she came after 5 minutes of us seated at the table, we got our drinks after 20 minutes, if that, and we talked to the manager because me and all my friends work at restaurants and know what to expect regarding service and experience and everything. I have never been more disappointed. The staff are incredibly rude and ignorant and do not care about customer satisfaction whatsoever. Their "hipster" attitude and lack of manners is obviously what this place is going for with their vibe. I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant/pub. And when asked to speak to a manager due to our orders being missed, this child who was probably no more than 19 years old named Bryan gave us nothing but attitude or a mere apology for our situation. Bar and waitstaff were excellent! They made some great choices when we asked for bartender's choice of beer flight and cocktails. For food - overall, tasty but tiny. Heartier portions would make this place worth the visit for food as well. This is not your typical pub/bar (guess that's why it's an eatery and not a pub?). Pretty awesome vibe in downtown Kelowna. We came here for an appetizer and some beer before a real dinner at Quails Gate. The place is very nice and welcoming for all sizes and ages. The beer was pretty good, I was sad they were out of the IPA and I'm used to these big breweries having some crazy flavors, but they kept it simple here. The tuna tar tar was delicious, but a bit underwhelming portion size. Our service was great though and overall I'd definitely return and recommend this spot to anyone that wants a beer and some food. My SO and I went to BNA for the first time recently and were just floored by the excellent food and service. We started with a beer tasting flight, which was wonderful, they have some really unique brews in their selection. Our server, Jade, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I loved all of her suggestions. The atmosphere is quirky and laid-back, I love the rich history of the building itself. We split a couple appies and they were delicious and super filling. We were shocked at the end of the night so see the bill. We would've expected to spend more, considering how good it was. read more

Once I came here wearing running shoes and I was feeling like I'd be underdressed but when I got here, it was full of people wearing sweats. Generally laid back atmosphere. We stopped in the BNA (British North America) tasting room tonight and had a wonderful time. We tasted three of the brews while the young man, Liam, explained all about them. Additionally, we learned a lot about the local brewery scene, restaurants, and just had an enjoyable experience. It's great to come across a place like this that is intimate and casual. No pressure to buy beer, although we did! Really liked the Blood, Sugar, Hops, Magik IPA. Although we didn't go to the restaurant tonight, we plan to go back and try it as well. I love that the guy who started this place just really likes to make craft beers, and he put together a nice place that deserves a stop on your itinerary. read more

Really good exceptionally good food in a casual brew pub. We got a bunch of small plates and a salad to share and everything was amazing. I wish I could post photos of the gorgeous food but we were so hungry and it was so delicious we destroyed the evidence. When the wife and I go down to Kelowna sometimes it's easy just to grab dinner at one of the chain restaurants on the north end of town before heading home to Vernon, but tonight we decided to head downtown, fight a bit of traffic and try somewhere new. Twice in the last couple of weeks I had heard about this "BNA" place: first, on the radio saying they were in some magazine for having the best restrooms in Canada, and second, from a friend who was raving about the place. The initial impression of the interior was great. High industrial type ceilings and interesting seating layout. I think we found the only two available seats on the bottom floor and we were waited on promptly by a very friendly server. She was very helpful with recommendations on their selection of beers, and with questions on the menu. I would have tried almost everything on the menu, but if one thing was lacking I would say it was choices that appealed to my wife's palate. I settled on the pork vindaloo which was a great spice level for a mass appeal dish, and had great flavor (could have used more roti, but I can never get enough roti). My wife ordered the sausage flatbread, which I snuck a sample or two of, and it was fantastic! All in all a great spot for date-night. read more

Stopped in for a beer on the recommendation of our B&B host. He described it to have a "Friends"-like coffee shop vibe (but a bar instead) which turned out to be pretty accurate description. The space is big with high ceilings and plenty of seating including benches along the wall and couches and chaises in the center. There's a shuffle board on the main level and lawn bowling on the second floor. Big selection of beers on tap, written on the big chalk board left of the bar. The crowd is mostly early 20's-mid 20's. Friendly service and an interesting food menu (we didn't get to try) that seemed to have a fusion of different cuisines (Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Canadian). We made sure to come back to BNA on our way home through Kelowna because it came highly recommended. It has lots of seating on two levels with some pretty unique chairs and sofas. We had a lovely server who customized a flight of beer for me. We chose to split an appetizer, salad, and main course. Our server made sure to order the salad in separate bowls for us, which was an appreciated touch. The cauliflower and chop chop salad were absolutely delicious. We inhaled them both! For our main we shared the Chicken Parmesan. It was good but did not live up to the same wow factor as the first two dishes. Breading on the chicken was a little bland and the gnocchi was slightly on the squishy/slimy side. Overall it still tasted decently so it didn't spoil our experience. We LOVED the bathroom set up in the upstairs area--shared sinks and mirrors regardless of gender and private, full-doored stalls. THANK YOU for that. Spot on! This pub is a treasure trove of wonderfully flavored small plates made from locally sourced purveyors. Each time we went, we opted to share a sampling ranging from pork and mushroom empañadas top with micro greens to fiery shrimp with beet shreds. Their key lime layered desert in a mason jar was outstanding. The selection of beers was sufficient to make the group happy. We loved our waitress who was quite engaging.
