Lori and her team at Board and Brush do an excellent job at hosting and leading the workshops! My fiancé and I went recently and had a really fun time making a sign for the Holidays. I had no idea what I was getting myself into and the teacher of our class did a really great job helping us along with our personal project. This is a perfect place for a date night, night out with friends or a fun family night out. Unlike the Paint Nights, you make something personal and unique for yourself that you are proud to hang up in your house. I would highly recommend anyone to try this. This place was awesome. The signs look store bought! I was so nervous it was going to come out a wreck. The staff was so helpful, giving tips whenever needed. They teach you how to make the wood looked aged by distressing it with hammers, mallets , sanding and staining. If you looking for Something Covid friendly this is the place to go. Masks are required by everyone in the building the entire time, each person has their own tools so there is so sharing with anyone. read more

Went to do a fun night out with the girls. We were able to pick our own projects which was great. The instructions were a little rushed but we were able to get help when needed. I would go back again. It was better than the paint bar because you did not all have to do the same thing. read more

The place is super cute and was a fairly fun experience. I expected it to be like a paint night where someone will go through and explain what you're doing, why you're doing it, how to do it and then demonstrate but it was a bit different. I felt rushed through the process, the person leading the class would speak very quickly and the directions weren't very clear. We were often asking each other "what did she say? We're supposed to do what?" We were told to hit the board and use the tools, sand some parts, and use a cloth to stain. I guess the tools were to give it a rustic look and I wasn't given directions on techniques to stain until I was halfway done. There were maybe 16 people in the class and 4 or so staff members to assist. Staff was very friendly but hard to track down sometimes because they had to help quite a few people but they are really good about helping you fix mistake with the paint. Stain does take awhile to fully dry unless you put a color paint tone over it. At the end I asked if I could wrap my project in something because the stain was still a bit wet and I didn't want to get it on my car but they don't give bags or anything to wrap it in which is a shame, seems pretty common for projects to not be fully dry and still leave a bit of residue. It was fun to do but it definitely is expensive for what it is in my opinion read more
