I'm not usually one to leave a review but this place deserves it! My family of 15+ went on a Sunday morning wait was no longer than 15 minutes which was surprising because it was pretty packed! Service was great from the start very welcoming, we got a table ordered and food came out quicker than expected. The mango matcha was amazing! Definitely recommend!! All of my family members had something different off the menu and not one of us had something bad to say. We all loved it and we still talk about it till this day! I ended up making an early morning solo breakfast run to Board and Drink while the rest of my family was still sleeping, and I was shocked to find the place already packed. It was Memorial Day weekend, so maybe that explains it, but it still seemed impressive for how early it was. After eating there, I understood why. I ordered a matcha latte and the French toast, and I'm still thinking about that French toast. It was easily the standout of the meal and something I'd order again without hesitation. The menu in general is excellent, with plenty of options that made it difficult to choose. I ended up putting our family's name down while I was there, and thankfully when they arrived later they were seated right away. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito, which seems to get a lot of love in the reviews, but it wasn't his favorite item. Not bad, just not something he'd rush back for. One thing that stood out was the service. Despite how busy they were, everyone was quick, efficient, and genuinely kind. Every time we walked by there seemed to be a line outside, though we were visiting during Memorial Day weekend so that may have played a role. Came here for brunch and it was packed. We waited 30 mins to get seated and the service was fast. Savory pancakes had scallions, cheddar, and bacon which was a nice combination. We ordered a sugar waffle, chicken and waffle, veggie burrito with bacon and chicken apple sausage omelet and everything was tasty and delicious. Yummy breakfast. Stopped in to Board and Drink with my family of 6. Even though we didn't order a board (hence the name), I thought the concept was great and those boards looked delicious. It's like a charcuterie for breakfast and they have boards that feed up to 4 people. We went on a beautiful Sunday morning, so we were expecting a wait. This place is busy and it's not too big, so if you have a larger party, prepare to wait. There's no inside waiting, you will be waiting on the sidewalk. Theres about 4 tables located right outside (where we sat) and the sidewalk isn't too big, so you are close to people walking by. Once we were seated the staff was quick and attentive. We ordered immediately, but there was a bit of a wait before our food arrived. One thing to note, they do not have a kids menu, if you have little ones or not big eaters, they could probably split a meal. This is what I will do next time. All three of my kids ordered pancakes and they were delicious. They are served with berry butter and they are a pretty good size. Flavorful and fluffy. We also ordered the bacon omelet and two orders of bacon and eggs, one scrambled and one with eggs over medium. The meals are served with country potatoes or tater tots. Get the potatoes! They were the winner for me. Very good. They also give you a good amount of bacon. 4 nice size pieces as well as your choice of wheat or sourdough toast. Of course I snuck some of my kids berry butter for my toast:-) The bacon omelet was nice and fluffy and filled with meat (bacon) it wasn't like the omelets where you have to go in search of the meat. If I were to return with my family, I would think of splitting plates. Though everything was delicious, the prices were up there. I believe this is normal prices for SF. Our bill for our party was $170. This included gratuity which is added for parties of 4 or more. I believe it was $18%. The servers were constantly checking on us and filling our water. We did not try any of their cocktails, but I will when we return because they had a pretty good looking espresso martini. read more

Stopped by on a Monday afternoon. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The staff were so nice and welcoming. :) I got a omelette and my partner got the banana French toast. Both were sooo delish! also for drinks we got the hazelnut latte with almond milk and banana matcha (it has banana pudding on top!!!) both were soooo good. This place is awesome! My friend and I got the sweet board with waffles and French toast and everything on it was perfect. Great flavor, well prepared, and beautifully presented. We also added the garlic herb potatoes and had no regrets. This board could definitely feed 3-4 people but the 2 of us conquered it and weren't hungry again until the next day. We sat outside and there are a few nice tables inside. It's pretty basic as far as decor/ambiance but makes up for it with great food and really cool staff. WOW. This might be the best breakfast experience I've ever had. The food didn't just look incredible -- the flavors somehow topped the presentation. Service was flawless. My grandson dropped his fork and before I could even open my mouth, someone was already there with a replacement. That kind of attentiveness sets a tone. When you check multiple sites and you find a place with thousands of reviews and all are 4.5-5 stars you don't think about it you go and check it out. It's a good sign...sometimes...when you visit a place and there is a line outside of the door. This is what I first saw. There is nothing sexy about the interior of this place so don't think you're going to get the warm and fuzzy feeling with the ambiance. Now let's talk food. Tip: share. The portions are gi-normous and you likely won't finish it all. The food is delicious, and perfectly made. The coffee is just average, but wasn't bad. I recommend the fried banana French thank you. A rare brunch miss for me :/ I had high hopes for Board and Drink and really liked the ambiance -- it's located on an inconspicuous street close to Fisherman's wharf (but tucked away from the chaos!), and they have indoor and outdoor seating. But I think I ordered the wrong thing... I got the savory pancake and it was really not very tasty. It was a bit of a doughy cheddary scallion bacon mess and nothing really meshed together. I couldn't finish it. However my friend liked her omelette so I assume the other items might be better (the boards look more popular so I would get that maybe in future). All the food was delicious the super super! we were celebrating the 21st birthday and they really did make it special although they don't particularly have like set dessert. They did make it special for my daughter and brought her out a pancakes with a raspberry delicious butter. I've had the pleasure of visiting Board and Drinks twice, and both times, the food was absolutely amazing! The presentation is so eye-catching, and everything is fresh and delicious--definitely leaves you wanting more. We've tried both the solo board and the sweet board for four, and I really appreciate the variety they offer for proteins, sweets, and egg preferences. Plus, the fresh-squeezed orange juice and indulgent hot chocolate are just the cherry on top! The staff here are super friendly and always greet you at the door, which I find so welcoming. One little thing to improve on--I've noticed that dirty plates can sometimes pile up while customers, including us, are waiting for the check. Got to Board and Drink at around 10 on a Sunday and waited about 25 minutes to get seated. It's walk up only, and a written waitlist, so you will have to wait and stick around for your table to be ready. I recommend looking at the menu while waiting to expedite service once being seated. Our order was taken pretty quickly, and we went with the Sweet Board for two and the Savory Pancakes. For the Sweet Board, we went with Pancakes and Waffles, Scrambled Eggs, and were able to get half bacon and half sausage, which was a really nice option to have as an indecisive person. The sweets board comes with a nutella, berry butter, syrup and a generous portion of mixed berries. Everything was delicious, but the pancakes were the standout on this! They were extremely fluffy, and paired great with the berries, nutella and syrup. The savory pancakes were also delicious, but thought it had a bit too much cheese for my liking. Still really delicious, and a great contrast in flavor with the sweets board. We decided to upgrade our regular tater tots for the parmesan truffle tater tots, and I'd recommend just sticking with the regular one's since the savory pancakes are already pretty cheesy. The service here was amazing! The staff did a great job turning tables as quick as possible while still making sure everyone was having a great dining experience both indoor and outdoor. Came by with 3 friends on a Saturday for a late brunch right around 12. We arrived via public transit, so it was a short walk from the bus station. There was a table of four in front of us waiting, so the wait was about 10 minutes. We were one of the last tables sat and our food came relatively quickly. The staff were super nice and even let us use the bathroom at the restaurant a few doors down, since they also owned that restaurant. They checked in on us often, kept drinks filled, and overall they looked like they enjoyed working there - no other way to explain it. I got the solo board with French toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, and hot chocolate as a drink. It was cutely presented and definitely Instagram worthy, but a bit pricey. I can see how it was priced up to be aesthetically pleasing, but it was lacking just a tad in flavor. Cute and fresh in concept, but wished there was a tad bit more food for the price. Table came with plenty of condiments. My friend reported that her drink was a bit strong (not a complaint). The house potatoes and lox were also pretty good though. This place is adorable. Although the interior isn't as Instagramable as the food, this place is sure to delight any foodie. The most notable thing is that the tables are spacious. None of that touch elbows with your dining neighbor in SF nonsense. Huge tables, even for two! The focus of their menu is their shareable boards; either for one or two, or for a party of people. Their dining ware, cups, pots, spoons are well thought out and really add to the pleasure of eating here. Who doesn't love a tiny pot of eggs that has a lid?! I went for the board for one, and my husband got the pancakes and an omelette. Wow! I can't recall when I've had better tasting berries, AND KIWI! so unique. Hey munchkins, how it going? I'm doing great thanks for asking. And you know why? Because I went to Board and Drink and it was great! The nice sunny day was a perfect compliment to the bright atmosphere inside. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I came here just having run a few miles with the gang and they promptly gave us some water to hydrate us even before we got our seat. According to my dentist friend the water likely had a good amount of flourine which is perfect for cleaning teeth. This foreshadowed the excellent experience that we would have here. The restaurant has a wide variety of brunch options from powerful pancakes, to whimsical waffles, to ornate omelettes. We got the savory pancakges, lox bagel, and chicken sausage. The portions were nice, large, and filling. The chicken apple sausage was bomb, and according to my friend "the cheese is like really good". To top it off a guy sitting near us was wearing duck socks with a pet duck outside. Now you might be thinking "what does this have to do with the restauraunt?". I'm glad you asked, the answer is that any restauruant that can attract a man of such culture must be very cultured itself. We tried the Berries French Toast that comes with homemade berry butter (delicious) and loaded with other fruit toppings that are visually appealing and fresh. The French toast was so fluffy (brioche done well) and tasty. The breakfast burrito with chorizo was made very well! The tortilla was crisped uniformly and held everything together expertly. The contents were hearty and tasty, barely needed salsa but don't skip out on that. The tater tots and garlic aioli was a nice crunchy roll in between the bites. Would highly suggest these dishes Service was really prompt and a team effort. We felt taken care of.
