CAME HUNGRY, LEFT OBSESSED. So we came across the Bay for a doctor's appointment, only to find out my doctor wasn't even there ... and by this point, your girl was HANGRY. My fiancé started searching for breakfast spots, we saw the food pics and reviews for this place, and said, "Okayyy, let's try it!" And honestly? 10/10 decision. You can immediately tell this is a family-run spot. The teamwork is REAL! you can feel the unity and love in the way everyone moves around the restaurant. The energy was high, the place was busy, but our food still came out FAST! Now let's get into the food because BABYYYY... We ordered the board for two, and when it came out, I literally said, "Oh... this is for TWO?!" The portion was HUGE and everything was so flavorful. This is absolutely the kind of breakfast you order when you want to share and try a little bit of everything. And honestly, if our kiddos had been with us, we could've easily fed them off this board too! And the coffee?! GOOD. I'm currently trying to wean myself off sugar in my coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't bitter at all. I didn't even need to add anything! The ONLY heartbreak was finding out they were sold out of the banana pudding cold foam. Because excuse me?! Banana pudding foam on an iced coffee sounds like something I NEED in my life. But clearly, that just means we have to come back. There are SO many things on the menu that I want to try, the portions are generous, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is fun, and you can genuinely feel the family behind the business. Definitely adding this one to the breakfast rotation. We'll be back!
AWESOME BRUNCH SPOT!!! We wanted to get drinks since we were celebrating a birthday, and the servers were super kind about bringing out champagne bottles and different juices for us to DIY our mimosas. They also gave us a bottle on the house to celebrate!! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were crazy. We all got our own items and shared the sweet board, and we had plentyyy of food to spare and take home. I really enjoyed how many different dips, syrups, and types of butter we had to spread on the pancakes, but the real star of the show was the shakshuka!!! One of the best I've ever had -- so spicy, fresh, and filling!! All in all, I love this place and would definitely go back again and again :)
Walked in on a Saturday around noon with a party of 10 people and didn't have to wait long at all! I ordered the savory pancakes and the group ended up ordering mimosas and a sweet board for the table. The savory pancakes were delicious and so unique!! I've never seen anything like this served at a restaurant before so I just had to order it. The tater tots, though basic, were FANTASTIC. I finished my whole basket in one seating. I thought the mimosas were a bit overpriced, but we were celebrating a birthday so we still ordered it. The staff were very accommodating to our large party and even gifted us another bottle of champagne for the birthday girl. The sweet board (for 2) was MASSIVE and very very delicious. I would order it again, but be wary that it might actually feed 3-4. Fantastic experience overall, I would come back. Note: the auto charge 20% gratuity for parties of 4 or larger
Was craving breakfast and looked this place up. Came in on Monday morning and luckily was seated right away. Went for the solo board and wasn't disappointed. I picked bacon, over hard eggs, and pancakes. It also came with yogurt and a drink. Service was incredibly humble and nice. Definitely recommend this place to get breakfast.
Charming restaurant for breakfast. The staff were all so knowledgeable and helpful with the menu (always a great sign!) and the dishes were executed perfectly. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito which was full of delicious ingredients but in a proper ratio of eggs, potatoes and chorizo so that the balance was spot on. My wife had the veggie omelet and though the portion was large, the way it was cooked was with a thinner layer of eggs on the outside with a good amount of the vegetables inside, which made it taste much lighter than it appeared! Lastly the tea was served looseleaf in these nice dispensers that were perfect for picky tea-drinkers like ourselves. A great breakfast find and we look forward to returning!
I ended up making an early morning solo breakfast run to Board and Drink while the rest of my family was still sleeping, and I was shocked to find the place already packed. It was Memorial Day weekend, so maybe that explains it, but it still seemed impressive for how early it was. After eating there, I understood why. I ordered a matcha latte and the French toast, and I'm still thinking about that French toast. It was easily the standout of the meal and something I'd order again without hesitation. The menu in general is excellent, with plenty of options that made it difficult to choose. I ended up putting our family's name down while I was there, and thankfully when they arrived later they were seated right away. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito, which seems to get a lot of love in the reviews, but it wasn't his favorite item. Not bad, just not something he'd rush back for. One thing that stood out was the service. Despite how busy they were, everyone was quick, efficient, and genuinely kind. Every time we walked by there seemed to be a line outside, though we were visiting during Memorial Day weekend so that may have played a role. Either way, it's easy to see why people are willing to wait. Definitely worth checking out, and if you're debating the French toast, get it.
Came here for brunch and it was packed. We waited 30 mins to get seated and the service was fast. Savory pancakes had scallions, cheddar, and bacon which was a nice combination. I've never had savory pancakes but these were pretty good. These pancakes were very thin so it wasn't fluffy. The tater tots added some nice crunch.
Lovely spot for huge portions of food and amazing service! We ordered a sugar waffle, chicken and waffle, veggie burrito with bacon and chicken apple sausage omelet and everything was tasty and delicious. Only in town for two days so we packaged all our leftovers to share with the unhoused so that food didn't go to waste. Dirty matcha latte was on point as well. Best part was the service - crew clearly liked each other and shared that with their diners. Felt like we were eating in someone's house. Definitely not what I expected so close to touristy Fisherman's Wharf and the waterfront.
Ordered the Sweet Board for 2 ($55) with waffles and pancakes and choice of sausage for meat selection. Honestly, it was a great choice and perfect amount, dare I say more than we anticipated. It could feed 3 if you and friends have a small appetite too. Service was attentive and welcoming. Plenty of seating as well with natural lighting because of their big windows and outdoor seating if you have a furry friend that wants to join.
Yummy breakfast. Stopped in to Board and Drink with my family of 6. Even though we didn't order a board (hence the name), I thought the concept was great and those boards looked delicious. It's like a charcuterie for breakfast and they have boards that feed up to 4 people. We went on a beautiful Sunday morning, so we were expecting a wait. This place is busy and it's not too big, so if you have a larger party, prepare to wait. There's no inside waiting, you will be waiting on the sidewalk. Theres about 4 tables located right outside (where we sat) and the sidewalk isn't too big, so you are close to people walking by. Once we were seated the staff was quick and attentive. We ordered immediately, but there was a bit of a wait before our food arrived. One thing to note, they do not have a kids menu, if you have little ones or not big eaters, they could probably split a meal. This is what I will do next time. All three of my kids ordered pancakes and they were delicious. They are served with berry butter and they are a pretty good size. Flavorful and fluffy. We also ordered the bacon omelet and two orders of bacon and eggs, one scrambled and one with eggs over medium. The meals are served with country potatoes or tater tots. Get the potatoes! They were the winner for me. Very good. They also give you a good amount of bacon. 4 nice size pieces as well as your choice of wheat or sourdough toast. Of course I snuck some of my kids berry butter for my toast:-) The bacon omelet was nice and fluffy and filled with meat (bacon) it wasn't like the omelets where you have to go in search of the meat. If I were to return with my family, I would think of splitting plates. Though everything was delicious, the prices were up there. I believe this is normal prices for SF. Our bill for our party was $170. This included gratuity which is added for parties of 4 or more. I believe it was $18%. The servers were constantly checking on us and filling our water. We did not try any of their cocktails, but I will when we return because they had a pretty good looking espresso martini.

It was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and one of the best omelets I've had in a long time. My husband ordered the Board, and everything on it was fresh, thoughtfully put together, and delicious. We both had oat milk lattes, which were excellent and paired perfectly with breakfast. You can tell they care about the quality of both the food and the coffee. Plus the service was top notch! If you're looking for a cozy neighborhood spot with great ingredients and even better food, don't skip Board & Drink. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the city.
WOW. This might be the best breakfast experience I've ever had. The food didn't just look incredible -- the flavors somehow topped the presentation. Service was flawless. My grandson dropped his fork and before I could even open my mouth, someone was already there with a replacement. That kind of attentiveness sets a tone. The coffee was excellent, and the Sweet Board for Two was a showstopper: French toast, waffles, eggs, bacon, an unbelievable sausage, and a mountain of fresh fruit. Every item felt intentional and generous. And then the price... easily the biggest surprise of the morning. I'm already planning what I'm ordering tomorrow.
So delicious! They're a very cute small cafe. Staff is so friendly and everything was served hot and fresh. The tots were crispy and seasoned well. The omelets were huge and perfectly cooked. Will definitely opt for a sweet breakfast to try for my next visit. The serving sizes are very generous and so many different things on the menu we can't wait to try in the future!

Absolute perfection! The staff is welcoming, professional and everything they recommend was a 10! The food!!!!!! I am not a French toast girlie but I might be now. The pancakes omg yum yum yummy. Eggs perfection and don't get me started on the tater tots. Fresh squeezed OJ I felt like they might be picking the oranges off a tree behind the restaurant. A must try! The staff does well with busy times making sure everyone is still getting seen and does their best accommodating! Wait can be long so be prepared! Really efficient and nice staff. Waffle was 10/10. The fresh fruit butter was so good not too sweet. It was perfect w the waffle. Benedict, I upgraded to the loaded tater tots which was soooo good. But I didn't really like that the muffin was twice the size as the ham and eggs lol. Their hollandaise sauce had a tang which isn't my vibe. But overall, it was still good. read more
I usually go to this place whenever I'm in San Francisco. Loooove their grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup is so creamy paired with the grilled cheese is such comfort food!!! There's usually a line but the people working there are fast and precise with how long the wait will take. They're also open to explaining the dishes and recommendations. There isn't a huge vibe here, kinda small but food is good. read more

When you check multiple sites and you find a place with thousands of reviews and all are 4.5-5 stars you don't think about it you go and check it out. It's a good sign...sometimes...when you visit a place and there is a line outside of the door. This is what I first saw. There is nothing sexy about the interior of this place so don't think you're going to get the warm and fuzzy feeling with the ambiance. Now let's talk food. Tip: share. The portions are gi-normous and you likely won't finish it all. The food is delicious, and perfectly made. The coffee is just average, but wasn't bad. I recommend the fried banana French thank you. And be careful when you order your bill could easily get over $100 for breakfast. When in San Fran visit Board & Drink. read more
A rare brunch miss for me :/ I had high hopes for Board and Drink and really liked the ambiance -- it's located on an inconspicuous street close to Fisherman's wharf (but tucked away from the chaos!), and they have indoor and outdoor seating. But I think I ordered the wrong thing... I got the savory pancake and it was really not very tasty. It was a bit of a doughy cheddary scallion bacon mess and nothing really meshed together. I couldn't finish it. However my friend liked her omelette so I assume the other items might be better (the boards look more popular so I would get that maybe in future). The tater tots the dish came with were ok. Service was nice and it wasn't too busy on a nice Saturday morning. Willing to have my mind changed if I come back in the future! read more

This place is awesome! My friend and I got the sweet board with waffles and French toast and everything on it was perfect. Great flavor, well prepared, and beautifully presented. We also added the garlic herb potatoes and had no regrets. This board could definitely feed 3-4 people but the 2 of us conquered it and weren't hungry again until the next day. We sat outside and there are a few nice tables inside. It's pretty basic as far as decor/ambiance but makes up for it with great food and really cool staff. I also got the banana pudding matcha and each component was good but they didn't really mix. read more

First off - mobility scooter accessible and friendly. Food , service, and ambiance is fantastic! If I lived here I would be a regular. The food portions were shareable. The most unique food presentations. We had a little of all of it- the burrito was the simplest to omelet- then the berries stuffed pancakes were pure sin!! Delicious! Another tried the solo board and it was definitely shareable. So fun and great. Simple decor- the focus is food and drinks! Family ran business keeping a focus on great food and fantastic service. read more
Very cute breakfast spot! Americanos were great! Hubby loved the chicken and waffles and I enjoyed the eggs, bacon and potatoes! Service top notch and friendly. Small place but very efficient. No reservations so come early or be prepared to wait 20-30 mins. We are twice here on our 2 night stay. read more

I've had the pleasure of visiting Board and Drinks twice, and both times, the food was absolutely amazing! The presentation is so eye-catching, and everything is fresh and delicious--definitely leaves you wanting more. We've tried both the solo board and the sweet board for four, and I really appreciate the variety they offer for proteins, sweets, and egg preferences. Plus, the fresh-squeezed orange juice and indulgent hot chocolate are just the cherry on top! The staff here are super friendly and always greet you at the door, which I find so welcoming. One little thing to improve on--I've noticed that dirty plates can sometimes pile up while customers, including us, are waiting for the check. A little extra attention to cleaning up would make the experience even better! Overall, it's a wonderful spot that I can't recommend enough! read more
Got to Board and Drink at around 10 on a Sunday and waited about 25 minutes to get seated. It's walk up only, and a written waitlist, so you will have to wait and stick around for your table to be ready. I recommend looking at the menu while waiting to expedite service once being seated. Our order was taken pretty quickly, and we went with the Sweet Board for two and the Savory Pancakes. For the Sweet Board, we went with Pancakes and Waffles, Scrambled Eggs, and were able to get half bacon and half sausage, which was a really nice option to have as an indecisive person. The sweets board comes with a nutella, berry butter, syrup and a generous portion of mixed berries. Everything was delicious, but the pancakes were the standout on this! They were extremely fluffy, and paired great with the berries, nutella and syrup. The savory pancakes were also delicious, but thought it had a bit too much cheese for my liking. Still really delicious, and a great contrast in flavor with the sweets board. We decided to upgrade our regular tater tots for the parmesan truffle tater tots, and I'd recommend just sticking with the regular one's since the savory pancakes are already pretty cheesy. The service here was amazing! The staff did a great job turning tables as quick as possible while still making sure everyone was having a great dining experience both indoor and outdoor. I could not recommend this place enough, and am excited go be back and try different items! read more

Came by with 3 friends on a Saturday for a late brunch right around 12. We arrived via public transit, so it was a short walk from the bus station. There was a table of four in front of us waiting, so the wait was about 10 minutes. We were one of the last tables sat and our food came relatively quickly. The staff were super nice and even let us use the bathroom at the restaurant a few doors down, since they also owned that restaurant. They checked in on us often, kept drinks filled, and overall they looked like they enjoyed working there - no other way to explain it. I got the solo board with French toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurt, and hot chocolate as a drink. It was cutely presented and definitely Instagram worthy, but a bit pricey. I can see how it was priced up to be aesthetically pleasing, but it was lacking just a tad in flavor. Cute and fresh in concept, but wished there was a tad bit more food for the price. Table came with plenty of condiments. My friend reported that her drink was a bit strong (not a complaint). The house potatoes and lox were also pretty good though. They already applied a gratuity and crossed out the tip section on the receipt, so I do appreciate that. Overall, cute standard brunch place with friends, wouldn't mind coming back. read more

Everything is good! I've been her quiet a few times. You cannot go wrong with the Breakfast burrito, the French toast, the Eggs Benedict, it's all good! Plus, you are right next to the wharf so you can walk the pier after you have stuffed yourself. read more

This place is small but MAN IS IT GOOD!! The service was so efficient, everyone worked together so well! I just love how everything flowed here. I got the banana pudding matcha, brioche berry French toast, potatoes and eggs! So so good, amazing flavor! Even their butter and whipped cream was so delicious!! Big portions so definitely a good sharing size for things. Everlasting flavor and mannerisms! read more

Board & Drink completely blew me away from the service to the food, everything was top-notch. The place has such a cozy, relaxed vibe, and the staff were super friendly and on it the whole time. I ordered the Board for Two, and it was absolutely amazing The waffles were the of the show perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and paired beautifully with their berry butter and fresh fruit. I came a year ago and it was so good then and even now it was so good! Customer service was so perfect, everyone was so sweet and patient. The food looks and tastes so good and filling!! The location in SF doesn't get too packed, and the restaurant is cute. The matcha, orange juice, and coffee is tasty too! read more

Very nice staff we went in around 8 am Thursday and were seated right away. Nice set up outdoor seating is optional. Food was incredible I got the savory pancakes name was simply the best way to describe this dish. Good portions very satisfying. read more

Delicious food and great service! Had the shakshuka and the berries French toast. I will say the portions are small for the price however, still very delicious and tasty. The berry butter was exceptional. The honey drizzle on the shakshuka was a nice touch. I definitely would recommend both items! read more

Stopped by on a Monday afternoon. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The staff were so nice and welcoming. :) I got a omelette and my partner got the banana French toast. Both were sooo delish! also for drinks we got the hazelnut latte with almond milk and banana matcha (it has banana pudding on top!!!) both were soooo good. Everything tasted so fresh and I just loved the vibe in there. I overheard them saying they make all their syrups and purées for their drinks. Love that. Can't wait to go back! read more

The best breakfast I've ever had! I got the French toast single board. 4/5 because I wish there was 2 French toast slices instead of 1 especially because the pancake single board came with 2 pancakes. Great, fast service despite the rain. Food came out hot and fresh. They were kind enough to substitute avocado for me since I don't eat meat. Can't wait to come back, even the yogurt was delicious! Coffee was strong and the berry butter was out of this world! read more

Food was very yummy! The portions are huge, so be prepared by either being very hungry, wanting to share with someone or wanting to take some home. It was a bit crowded so while the servers were very nice a few of them seemed extra rushed when taking our orders or attending us. But if you wants a good breakfast with lots of choices, this is a great choice. read more
All the food was delicious the super super! we were celebrating the 21st birthday and they really did make it special although they don't particularly have like set dessert. They did make it special for my daughter and brought her out a pancakes with a raspberry delicious butter. Wonderful the fluffy cook just right we also ordered appetizers tater that were with all this other delicious stuff. They were so yummy. We cleared our plate up the food with the colorful one person in the party ordered bagels and lots she said delicious yummy not fish wonderful dis a great time the service I have to talk about the service. I have not had restaurant service like this. I can't even remember very attentive from the busing person to the waiter to it. Look like she might've been the manager owner. We had people checking in on us constantly for water refills for anything and you just don't see that anymore so it was wonderful moderate price I mean for going out these days and it was just very special. We they have a outside area and an indoor area, we sat outside that in some tables that faced really cute park and we could watch people walking at us.
