Our daughter was recently married here and we did a full three-night resort buyout. While the property itself is absolutely stunning the nine months leading up to the wedding were incredibly frustrating. Communication was consistently poor--weeks would go by without any response. We were promised a Florida Resident Discount by two different general managers, but it was never honored. (This is a significant discount that we did not get as promised). In total, we went through four general managers, each making new promises that never materialized. Even weeks before the wedding, when we were trying to make final payment, we couldn't get a response. When I finally raised concerns with the newest manager, her response was, "I have like six brides all contacting me at once." With all due respect, that's not how you handle a time-sensitive, stressful situation for a bride and her family. To add to the confusion, their website still showed units available just days before our event--even though we had rented out the entire resort. The units themselves are not equipped as expected either--we had to go out and purchase basic items like dish towels, a dish scrubber, pot holders, and more. Their new lanai roof leaks and ruined a couple of the custom built items we thought were safely stored since it's a brand new structure. We unpacked the U-Haul when we got home and had cockroaches in a few of the things stored in the main house.

I booked 3 basic rooms with points, days before check in we were upgraded to TWO-2 Bedroom Royal Suites, both Royal suites were high floor ocean front with amazing south beach views, at check in I told the the hotel they can keep the third room, cause with the two-2 bedroom Royal suits we basically have 4 rooms already I do not need the third room which they also upgraded, I told them I was not worried about the points spent and let some other guests enjoy the third suite, the hotel actually cancelled my third room reservation and returned all my points, these 2 royal suites have a combined value of $8,000, I was super happy about this upgrade. Everyone and everything at this resort was perfect, from the beach attendants to pool servers and all staffs, everyone was very attentive and friendly. All kinds of complimentary treats throughout the day like champagne and free ice cream, treats by the pool often and pictures by the beach Welcome gift was breakfast for all guests, hand wrote welcome letters, huge fruit baskets and sparkling water was delivered to the room by our butler. The staff seemed unmotivated to complete even the basic cleaning tasks. We only asked for two coffee k cups, clean towels and the two room garbage cans to be emptied on a daily basis. That was just too demanding and the staff tried to mean-mug us when we came and went but finally got it done for the final two days of our visit. I'd advise you visit another property because the service is nonexistent and a total disappointment. Their on site restaurant was a joke as well. Completely overpriced and out of touch given the location. Every other restaurant we visited in the area was excellent, but theirs was almost always empty. The menu was way overpriced and there were countless local options that were much better and less expensive. Nearly all the staff on site see to be unwilling to provide service to customers and displaying a shitty attitude overall. Leadership changes need to take place or this property will crumble. Good location, just bad service with inadequate leadership supervision.

The property doesn't have a liquor license. therefore, if you like anything other than beer, you're out of luck. If you do happen to have a preloaded yeti with your favorite mixed drink, watch out! The pool boy will promptly call you out and ask you to stow it. Additionally, at 8pm the pool closes !!!!! No evening dips. I was told that was due to no attendant present. However, the beach is still open and "swim at your own risk" as if that's safer at night.... seems as if the unavailability to charge you $10 for a drink has out weighed your ability to use the pool. Additionally, pines and palms charter is no longer here, I was told the boat was sold, I was given a number to a captain that provides services to the resort, snorkeling/fishing and such. That person doesn't answer... You're better off going elsewhere. In the end, I'm sitting here writing a review while at the resort at 9pm, disappointed. It's a bummer, this place was a hidden gem.
