Buying tickets online was simple and there are a range of packages with the arch and more. We did the simple boat tickets only and were on the noon cruise. The captain occasionally pointed out information about the bridges and construction and various things. It was a nice hour or so and we got some great photos.

(River Rat- people that enjoy living and/or playing on rivers and are proud of the simple life) I would bring my own food & hand sanitizer (like the regulars). Parking is plentiful at check-in. The staffs are extremely helpful at preparing life vests for us and putting us at the river. The end of the "ride" has a giant green flag, where the staffs help us get out of the water. We had amazing time and would recommend it. Tips: 1) the short trip was noted as 4 hours, though we finished in 2 hours. We recommend spending time parking our kayak at some beaches closeby for fun. 2) even though we selected a ride time of 9am, we are free to arrive any time before 12:30pm

The two bartenders said they were fairly new, but I cannot tell they held it down all night. Drinks were on point and they were getting the line down really fast no matter how long it got. Drinks were also very reasonably priced. I don't think I paid over five dollars for any drink. As for the food, the cruise included a unlimited taco bar, which was very good. The chips were very fresh and the meat was very well seasoned. I love that they include fresh guac and fresh sour cream, which I think is the perfect addition to any taco bar! They get 5 stars from me!!

You could sit in top or bottom or stand on the bow. And if you are a kid or kid at heart, the captain with let you drive the boat. The gift shop at the harbor is nice and large. Lots to choice from and they give free wine tasting. This was great to do before the boat ride because we were able to determine which wine we liked on the boat. There is also a restaurant right there if you want to grab a bit to eat.

At the fuel dock, Jackson and Jill went above and beyond--helping with pump-out, rinse-out, and even offering to take our trash. Fuel prices were very reasonable too. The marina office staff were fantastic to deal with. We were a bit uncertain about our timing and length of stay, but they were flexible and accommodating the whole way through. When we pulled into our slip, our neighbors came right out to lend a hand with docking, which gave the whole place a welcoming, community feel. The facilities are clean and well-kept, with a laundry room (two washers and two dryers at just $1 each!), a beautiful pool area, and a casual snack bar that's perfect for breakfast or lunch. The covered slips feel secure, and the location is excellent--right next to the Alton Amphitheater, where there were live events going on during our visit. Another big plus is convenience: Enterprise picked us up right at the marina for a rental car, which made exploring the area simple. All in all, Seahorse Marina is a gem on the river. Impressive! My…read morecousin periodically docks his boat here. Last night, I spent the night on his boat after hosting a bridal shower over at the Cracker Factory. The property is well secured and safe. I was truly impressed with how pristine this marina was maintained. This marina is definitely upscale compared to those up closer to Grafton. Arriving late at night, I didn't have the opportunity to use the built in pool, but I'm sure it is a popular gathering place with the boating community during regular hours. The restrooms for those who are docked in the marina bays were equal to a upscale private mens health club. Ahhhh, a real shower instead of one on the boat. There's a "lake' with a fountain that is peaceful and there are plenty of spots to park and sit it take a walk and rejuvenate yourself. But the crown jewel is the YMCA right inside the park. It has exercise machines, 2 aquatic centers (the outdoor one is quite spectacular in the summertime), but the best is that I'd had comfortable places to lounge, work on your laptop, get free coffees and tea (like Parisian Blackberry) or hang out with people in the Senior Hub.

I noticed they had places for horseshoe and other park activities, but things seem to be closed off right now due to COVID. People were staying distanced from one another and it was easy to walk around people if I needed to. This is a great park and I can't wait to visit it again on the next nice day we get in STL.

Canoe, rafting rental is available for a 6 mile float. Bonne Terre is 2.4 miles away and Desloge another three miles west. There is a grocery store in Bonne Terre and a Wall-Mart Super Center in Desloge. I'm giving this place a 3 for the road noise.

It is a nice nature area nestled off Dalbow Road and near Highway 79. Here you have water access for your boats and jet skis. There are some spots available for picnicking and such too. I'd advise to arrive early if you intend on parking near the water access area since it has limited spacing for vehicles. The water that you will be getting in is a tributary off of the Mississippi River. Lots of people come down here to go fishing since they've got such an abundance of different fish such as bass, crappie, and catfish. Enjoy your visit!

Aside from portable toilets that's it for amenities. There's no on-site staff. RV reservations are made online. This park is also the endpoint for the Dardenne Creek Blueway, which partially opened July 2022. The eventual 19-mile river trail will snake through the county. Kayaks can be rented online and picked up here.
