First time checking out a Bob Evans restaurant. Not disappointed! The Pot Roast was delicious as was the Turkey Dinner. We also tried the Candied Bacon (as our waitress said; its dangerously good). The twisted mozzarella sticks are probably the best deal ever - you get 7 for around $4. The banana bread is great! We left with 2 loaves. Our waitress was the nicest ever - Leisa. I hate to leave bad reviews but this Bob Evans really needs to get it together. Last year I was able to get my thanksgiving plates aside from having to wait a bit longer to get my order once I arrived. Probably 15 minutes, no big deal. But this year was messy. I understand there are shortages & things can get out of control but they really dropped the ball this thanksgiving for those who preordered meals for pickup. My father who lives out of state ordered thanksgiving meals for my partner & I. We both work full-time & are in school so we don't have much time to cook or family to be with. I arrived there during my window & once I got there the manager said they were out of food to fulfill the online orders. It sounded like they oversold. Luckily I do not have a family or kids to feed at home so I wasn't too stressed but a bit let down that I drove out there to come back home with nothing to eat. The manager offered me nothing & said they'd be in contact & I MAY get a refund. Okay...I guess?? I can imagine those that do have families to feed or relied heavily on this meal for their day were very upset and stressed. Not a good look. As someone who has worked in restaurant service, you need a better system of expediting orders from the walk ins. Came in on a Sunday morning at 10:00. MANY vacant tables but was given a 30 minute wait time by the hostess. For the next 15 minutes we watched completely disorganized kitchen activity. On par with Perkins, IHOP, and other similar breakfast places. Were seated quickly although it took a few minutes for the server to take our order. Farmers breakfast was just ok. The eggs were cooked correctly but the hash browns were undercooked so the potatoes were not tender. Sausage patty was good as it always is at Bob Evans. French toast was also good although I wish they would not put powdered sugar on top of it. Wife had pancakes although she did not eat much of them. Said they had a slightly funny taste. Second time visiting this location, had some dirty silverware and went to the front desk to ask for 2 new ones and the woman at the front desk yanked them out of my hand grabbed some and shoved them in my hand and went back to what she was doing. Don't know if she was stressed out or something but it's only 9AM and it's not too busy, don't know what there is to be stressed about. The encounter made me feel very unwelcome. I ordered a waffle, simple and no errors. My girlfriend got a crepé that was as thick as a pancake and had no filling, her mother had a sausage patty that was cooked with a layer of plastic on it. Our server brought over the manager who was extremely helpful and apologetic, she brought an extra sausage patty and remade the crepé and took them off the bill. She mentioned to us that 3 people didn't show up and she was working their roles. Based off the quality of service I would rate it higher to 3.5 stars if I could. read more

Was in in Orlando with the family for the weekend, and on our last day I was looking for something different than your usual Dennis & ihop, came across Bob Evans and let tell you it was well worth it when we arrive we were sit win less than 5 min on a Sunday mourning. The place was busy our waitress was bit stress out at the beginning with a couple that was sitting across our table. I came to Orlando for the theme parks and wanted to eat something different from what we have in Miami. I find out that it is very similar to ihop. The portions were ridiculously small! My middle school teacher always used to mention Bob Evans and I have never seen one in person until my recent trip down to Florida. Bob Evans' specialty is sausage and they restaurant style is very similar to IHOP except better. This location was across the street from our hotel so we made several trips for breakfast during our week stay. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. I did not eat any of the lunch/dinner selections but the breakfast offerings were great. You can also get "sidecakes" (pancakes) with any entree. I also recommend the fresh strawberry smoothie. Delicious! Overall, this is a great family place. It is not too fancy and prices are very fair. Service is great and highly recommended as a breakfast location. read more

So it's a Bob Evans chain restaurant. I know- a bit boring for an Orlando vacation. The good- my son said, "This is just like our Bob Evans back home." As a chain, that means success. Brand uniformity in menu, decor, and quality of food. Second, kids eat free on Tuesday. After paying theme park prices, that is also welcome. As for the overall experience, my water glass and coffee cup were empty more than I would have liked. One of the two kids breakfasts did not come out with the rest of the meal, and they didn't bring jelly or honey for the biscuits. It wasn't terribly crowded that Tuesday night, so I kind of expected better. But the lower wallet pain, and low crowd level was a welcome change from the hurry up and wait of the theme park jungle. So not bad, not the best, but the kids were happy. So that counts for a lot. read more

I give this restaurant three stars because the service is so bad. On our first visit, one of the coffee cups on our table was dirty so naturally, we wanted it replaced. Our waitress examined the cup and began to challenge us on the cleanliness of the cup. Really. You got to be kidding me! There were multiple staff just standing around talking and discussing how to spell Tina instead of doing anything relevant to their job. The french toast, pancakes and sausage were good however the rest of the food was mediocre (there were four of us). Service was extremely slow even though they weren't overly busy. Horrible service! I've never received service like I did tonight. First it started with the waitress "Mundy J", spilling a little lemonade on my phone because she was passing it across the table. It wasn't a lot, but it's a phone, you would think she would show some emotion by spilling fluid on someone's phone. My son ordered his food with grits, but this breakfast restaurant stops serving grits at 11am. I order the homemade chips, nacho style, and asked to omit the red onions. She brought them out as just chips with cheese sauce on top. When I asked about the jalapeños she shrugged her shoulders and said "yep we don't have them." I sent this back and didn't eat them. I also ordered soup and asked if they still had some. She never mentioned my soup nor brought it out. I basically ate my other son kids meal. We asked for the check and tell her to make sure the soup isn't on it, she again says "nonchalantly", "oh we don't have enough soup either. We don't have nothing tonight". We get the check and the soup was still on it. I've never experienced this kind of service at this restaurant in any state. Not to mention "Mindy J" was in the bathroom with my daughter and I and walked out without washing her hands. If you go there, please make sure she isn't your server. read more

Terrible experience went on a Monday morning to wait an hour when there was plenty of open tables, when me and my party finally sat the server took our orders and continued to go around the room to take other parties orders, waited 20 min for drinks and when those were finally brought (with no straws) I walked up to grab straws from another server when my server RUDELY interrupted and said "can you let me do my job" I told her to cancel my order and me and my family left. Stopped by Bob Evans to try their breakfast - heard alot of good things about it! It was mid-morning, so not too busy, we were seated right away. Service was excellent all during our visit - the drink order was taken right away and delivered right back quickly. Haven't eaten at a Bob Evans in years. Decided to try them out today for breakfast instead of our usual Cracker Barrel that we love. After today's experience we will be sticking to Cracker Barrel. Although our server was nice she never refilled our coffee. After serving our food she came back and put the bill on the table and left. We never saw her again the rest of the meal. I order a side of scrambled eggs and was charged $3. It looked more like one small egg. What a rip off! Took us forever to pay our bill for whatever reason but we're never asked by the cashier how our meal was. Guess they don't care which is why most Bob Evans have gone out of business. This is how UK Little Chefs should be. Excellent quality of US type fare, burgers in particular fantastic for the money. My kids love this place and we eat here every time we have been to the Orlando area. Service is spot on, you usually get discount coupons for repeat visits too. Much better than Denny's or anything similar in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking though the entrance is a little confusing the first time you visit. When you are fed up of the many buffet breakfasts that are offered in the area come here, it's slightly more expensive but the quality is way better. I'll be back real soon ! read more

The service unfortunately was not up to par. The place itself was not busy at all. My family and I were looking forward to finally having a decent breakfast and although the food was pretty good a couple of things were over cooked (specifically the eggs). I understand this isn't a high end restaurant with 5 star chefs but a simple over easy egg is not difficult to make. My mom had asked for an extra egg and it never came and by the time the waitress came back she was done with her food. My dad had asked for regular creamer which he waited for 20 minutes (which there is no need). Also we waited a while for both our drinks and food. Overall I think the restaurant just needs to train their waitresses better and have a better turn around time. If this restaurant had been busy with service like that, the chances of parties getting up and leaving are likely. read more

Last night was he second time we visited this particular Bob Evans restaurant... against our better judgement. The first time we waited over 30 minutes just to be waited on. Then we waited about 45 minutes to get our meal. Last night, after a long day at the parks with our kids, we decided to give it a second shot... hoping our first experience was just a fluke. It took us a long time just to get a seat. Then, after waiting over 30 minutes for someone to take out order, we just got up and left. There were only 3 or 4 other groups (and not big groups) and more than enough staff members to get the job done. We ended up going to Perkins next door. I come here for the sausage gravy and biscuits. It reminds me of my childhood and I haven't been able to find another restaurant that serves this combo as good as Bob Evans. Believe me I have tried many. I'm sure it is not the most healthiest of meals but the gravy is thick with sausage and goes well with the fresh cooked biscuits. We stood at the host area waiting behind another group for ten minutes before we were seated. The staff was ample, but all of them were scrambling around. There was as least ten plates of food sitting under the lamp waiting to be taken out the whole time we were there. By the time we actually were seated, the host was fumbling on where to put us, and after sitting down and looking at the gloomy faces of other guests, we decided to avoid having a bad experience and walked out of the restaurant.
