My church group and I planned a spontaneous trip to camp on the beach just to see the sunrise! We packed blankets, pillows, and even built a small fire to then sleep literally on the beach! It was purely amazing. Such a wonderful first experience. I was able to put my camera to use. read more

This place feels a bit remote which is a good thing where you can park for free and enjoy the gulf. There is picnic tables, beach, bar & cafe, and fishing. The pier price to get on it is $3 and is about 1000 feet long. Today was pretty hot and some setup chairs under the pier to get away from the sun. read more

We came here during our summer vacation. Awesome view of the ocean. A lot of fisherman here so it has to be a great place to fish. $2 a person and for the price it was worth it. We came here in the evening and during the year when the water wasn't blue at the time. Not sure how true that is but hey I will had to take it for what it was worth. My family enjoyed their time here and I will definitely come back in the future if we come to this area again. There is a restaurant on the pier itself if you're interested on eating there. A lot of pavilion ares to eat at if you bring your own food. Enjoy the view. read more

Pretty good pier. We didn't catch anything but that's our fault. The only reason why I have 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a bit dirty. I know I should blame the people who are on the pier but they should also have someone walk the pier and clean/throw trash. Pieces of fish: tails, heads, bodies were thrown on the pier. Pier was packed since it was Memorial Day weekend but it was nice. $3 a person to go through gate on to pier and an additional $4 if you bring in a fishing rod. They sell prepackaged frozen bait. They also sell snacks: chips, candies. Brings chairs and enjoy the breeze! read more

We watched the full moon rise out of the gulf on the end of the pier a few nights ago. I liked being able to walk out onto the water. You can see schools of shad swimming, flounder, rays. The fishermen and women were wonderful to see. I wish that I'd gone fishing. You can stay all night on the pier. The people are extremely polite and mature on the pier. I can't wait until I return to actually fish. read more

The pier itself, is nicely lit- offered a bathroom, always a great time fishing! The beach around here is nice and my go to spot. Picnic tables are available and covered,we hung up our hammock between two. A lot of bathroom options, the main building has showers, can't beat that. read more

What a fun pier! I have never fished in the ocean before...until now. On a whim, you can rent a pole, buy some bait, and within the hour or two catch a fish...from the ocean! There were three of us and we spent approximately $30. They prefer cash, but they take credit cards and add $3 charge. You can't bring alcohol or glass on the pier, but you can wheel a little cart fills with stuff for the entire day if you want. People brought chairs, umbrellas, coolers. On the day we went, two people nearby caught baby hammerhead sharks! I was so grateful we weren't one of them. I wouldn't know what to do with it. Well, I say that, but I didn't even take off the 2 fish we did catch, my husband did. You can keep the fish or do like we did and catch and release. There aren't many places to sit on the pier, except a couple benches. But for those of you just wanting to walk it, there's a little charge of $3 or so. While you're playing at the beach, bring some money and check out the pier and do a little fishing too. read more

the pier itself isn't all that special but there are wooden tables, parking, showers and bathrooms available. you can also drive down and park on the beach for more privacy. i've been to many good parties that created many good nights for me. to go and fish on the pier, i believe it's around $2, closed at night. read more

So you have to pay for each fishing pole that you want to use, as well as for entry which I never had to do at other piers, so I was a bit surprised. The lady in the front was nice. It's a very popular location way to many people. Got to see someone catch a tiger shark which was very neat. Fish were definitely biting just need to make sure you use the right bait and tackle. Over all experience was nice. read more

Not a glamorous beach, but that's expected on this side of the gulf. Great small waves for kids or husbands who can't swim. Not too busy when it's not summer. Great picnicking! read more

This was a nice beach! Three dollars to walk on the pier. I saw lots of fishermen catching small, medium and large fish! The parking is free and they also have free restrooms. I did not go inside so I do not know their condition. there is a restaurant on the pier. I did not eat there. Plenty of parking in the parking lot but you can also drive and park on the beach. There are little picnic benches set up that you can sit on or put your items. A great beach for all!! read more

We enjoyed our time fishing on this pier. All kinds of bait are sold, the people was nice and we could see the fish nibbling on our bait all the way up on the pier!
