When painting and sealing the stencil, the edges were done by hand with a brush to avoid getting paint on my existing brick walls. On 24 February 2025, while I was not home, they broke into my private garden without my permission, cutting off my lock and breaking my gate to gain access. After I raised a complaint, they insisted that they had informed us about needing access to our yard. However, on their notification email, it made no mention of this at all. Worse still, RTL seems to believe that simply informing you--regardless of whether you approve it or not--gives them the right to break into your property. This is extremely concerning and raises serious safety issues. Although they replaced the lock, they refused to take responsibility for fixing the gate. They claimed it was broken due to aging--when in fact, it was perfectly fine before they forced their way in. To make matters worse, they provided a ridiculously high quote of $4,800 to replace a simple 4m wooden gate. I later obtained a quote from another contractor for only $2000+ for a hard wooden gate and $3,000+ for a Colorbond gate, which is a far better material.

We applied for our pet three times through the real estate and they did not pass this onto body corporate at all. We even had the council called to remove her, and threats from the body corporate to evict us. They never issued us with entry reports, they completely screwed us over on our exit report. We had our bond cleaner with 7 day guarantee on Friday, and conveniently they did not get our exit report to us within 7 days and we needed to pay for another cleaner. They advertised the unit as a 'quiet' living place, but for the first 6 months of our lease the BC jackhammered up all the tiles in the courtyard, directly outside our window. We were given no warning of the construction and would not have signed this lease if we knew about it. When something was broken it took up to SIX MONTHS for it to be repaired. You can forgive an 'honest mistake' once but there is a line when this happens constantly. The worst real estate I have ever dealt with.
