The Vietnamese ice coffee was delicious and refreshing !!! Gave me enough energy for work without being over anxious. It's a small spot I almost left and than I spotted it . Will definitely come back

The place is small doesn't look anything like the photos here it looks cluttered and dirty but the corn dog was pretty damn good . I got the house special half and half very fresh and good . This is a place just for pick up I wouldn't eat there service was quick . The sauce on it was great and the drinks are good too .

Happened upon this small boba shop after getting some lunch in the same strip and was pleasantly surprised! They had a whole system of letting you customize your own drink but I kept it simple with the strawberry matcha with boba. It was SO good. Not too sweet and perfectly flavored. The boba was fresh and chewy just like it should be. One of my favorite things was the art wall I got to look at while waiting for my order. So funny. Don't confuse this with the TapX chain. This is way better and a local spot. I hope I can come back soon!

6/20/24, First and last time here. There was a roach in my fries. I'm so sick. IN the food is evidence of an infestation. Do not eat here.

Very friendly staff (the owner?) and a great selection of items. My new thing to get is an Avocado Smoothie with Boba. It was a reasonable price and had a great flavor. Seemed like a lot of people are repeat customers and he knew everyone and was very friendly to all that came while I was there. I was enroute to the Airport and he saw I was waiting on an uber and even offered to drive me if I was going somewhere close by.

I've been getting their mango smoothie + tapioca for years now & I love it! I'll be back to try their kimchi fries.

Tapioca Xpress is surprisingly really good!! My expectations were set low because the outside of the building looks very old, needs renovation, and isn't in a very popular part of Houston. But dang were we surprised! Walking in, the tapioca shop is definitely on the small side. There is only a couple of chairs by the window and like two more seating areas by the walkway leading towards the restroom. Due to the small space, I'd probably recommend just getting a drink to go, there isn't much room to socialize very long if the place gets a little busy. But even though the space is small, the drink selection is huge as far as flavors and toppings to choose from. I decided to try their taro milk tea with tapioca and sea salt cream foam. SO GOOD! This will probably become my go to order because I'm craving one now as I write this review. Big taro flavor, perfectly soft tapioca, and the creamy sea salt foam on top just brings everything together with its richness. We'll be back very soon Tapioca Xpress!

We always come here after a stop at the foot massage place across the street from Hong Kong. It's a fairly small shop, but their drinks don't disappoint! This time I ordered a mango smoothie with matcha and tapioca. The boba pearls were soft and chewy - the perfect texture! My drink was delicious! The workers are very friendly and there happened to be a small crowd of people who followed us in line. Will return!

We can literally sit there for hours talking while our youngest plays in the play area. The lattes are really good, and my daughter loves the hot chocolate. The pastries and treats are a little hit or miss. The almond croissant is definitely the winner and probably my favorite thing we've tried. My middle daughter really likes the brownie. She did say she thinks there may be cinnamon or something else added to the chocolate muffin because there was a flavor in it that threw her off a little. The pecan cinnamon roll was pretty good. The blueberry scone, though, tasted like it had maybe been frozen too long? I'm not completely sure, but there was just something about the taste and texture that was a little off. The savory items are good, but I do think they need to work on reheating them. The chorizo empanada had really good flavor, but the outside dough was still soggy because it wasn't heated long enough. It needed more time to crisp up. The same thing happened with the ham and cheese croissant. The bottom was very soggy, and it was only slightly warm throughout. One thing I really hope First Cup considers adding is nutritional information for their menu items. On our last visit, my 15 year old son came with us and wanted to try some things. He has Type 1 Diabetes, and having nutritional information, especially carbohydrate counts, is extremely important because we have to calculate his insulin based on what he eats. The staff did not have this information available or know where to find it. I know nutritional information is not required for every business, but for families like ours, it's not just a preference. Managing Type 1 Diabetes means constantly making calculations to keep my son safe. Without accurate information, we are left guessing, and guessing with insulin can mean his blood sugar goes too high or too low. As a mom, it's hard enough managing all of the daily decisions that come with T1D. My son should be able to go out with his family, try new foods, and enjoy a normal experience without us having to wonder if we are making the right choice for his health. Having this information available would make a huge difference, not only for people with diabetes but also for customers with allergies or other dietary needs. Even with these concerns, we really do love the feel of First Cup. It's a welcoming place with a great atmosphere, and we will continue coming back. I just hope they consider improving the reheating process and adding nutritional information because those changes would make an already great place even better.

The kind of place you stumble into expecting caffeine and leave with a small, irrational faith in humanity restored. People like to say Montrose is where Houston keeps its cool, its weird, its pulse. Maybe. But Java Owl makes a strong case that Clear Lake has been hiding a little strange magic of its own. It is bright, clean, odd in the best possible way, and alive with the feeling that something interesting might happen before you finish your cup. Now, the important part: the coffee. I judge a place by the black cup. No sugar, no milk, no whipped cream masquerading as personality. Just coffee, exposed and unprotected. Java Owl passes that test. The roast has character. It tastes like someone cared. It does not taste like the sad, scorched sludge you get from places that treat coffee beans like evidence to be burned. And if you want something more elaborate, they have that too. The specialty drinks rotate, mutate, and show up with a kind of reckless creativity that works more often than it has any right to. Every visit seems to bring some new concoction, some fresh little act of caffeinated imagination. Late nights at the Owl are their own species of entertainment. Beer, wine, conversation, and the grand old human circus of people watching. Someone might break into "Sweet Caroline." Someone else might decide the room needs a guitar solo. You do not so much sit there as get folded into the scene. It is noisy, warm, occasionally ridiculous, and never dull. Somehow, the place manages to be both energetic and peaceful, which should be impossible and yet is not. Good coffee, good people, a little music, a little chaos, and staff who seem genuinely happy to be there. The positivity is not the forced kind. It is not laminated corporate cheer. It is real enough that you can walk in tired and walk out a little lighter. So yes, go. Go to see and be seen, sure. But more than that, go because places like this matter. Java Owl is coffee, community, weirdness, and warmth in a town that could use more of all four.

I live in the Clear Lake area but will be working in League City this week, so I specifically wanted to find a nice coffee shop to patron or even hang out in for the next several days. The space was nice with more than enough bored games to keep any group of friends busy. There was no line, and no reason to be rushed. But the barista that took my order was immediately angry and took the stress level to a 10 for seemingly no reason. I ordered an Americano. She looked at me like I was an idiot and asked several questions including milk. I said I'd like some milk and some room in the cup and she berated me with many more questions that I couldn't understand. Pretty much yelling in my face for no reason. The manager/owner was right there watching it. The barista had dark hair, dyed red with a dark short sleeved shirt. She pretty much owned the place over everyone. I stood there with her talking down to me for several minutes. And that is why I won't go back. Also, I ordered a "medium Americano" and it came back after 5-10 minuktes in a cup barely larger than a dixie cup. And it was completely burned. It tasted awful. I write a bad review maybe every 3-4 years. And this was easily the worst coffee shop experience of my life. It actually ruined my morning. And that is why I am taking the time out of my day to write this.

I just got done with a lunch date nearby and needed a little pick me up to finish my errands. I'm assuming all their locations are similar in that this place is a drive thru or walk up concept. I almost drove past because the drive thru line spilled out into the road but then I saw they had two lanes moving at a pretty rapid pace. Just from what I saw, it seemed like the whole staff was young, high school kids, but they were working hard. They had multiple people walking the lines with an iPad taking orders and keeping traffic flowing. I explained it was my first time so the young lady gave a quick run down of some of their popular items and asked what flavor profiles I like. The line moved quick and I liked that they took the time to wipe down each drink before handing it over so there was no mess. Great customer service. I ended up ordering the Cookie Butter iced coffee. The flavors of this coffee included toasted marshmallow, hazelnut and white chocolate breve. I like a breve because you get a creamier drink. The flavors worked well together and I really enjoyed my drink. I typically like a more coffee forward drink, but every once in awhile I like a dessert like drink. This was that. 7 Brew is one of many like chains in the area so competition is high out here. In my opinion, this place has a slight edge over the other places in that they have a great variety of drinks and great customer service. I will most definitely be back.
