Boba Break Tea House is located inside Glendora Public Market. I have tried Boba Break Tea House at an event at Glendora Gardens Nursery and Tree Farm fall last year and was rather disappointed with the drinks we had. Because this was at an event, all drinks were premade and were unable to adjust the sweetness level. The drinks we had were too sweet and also the tea was over steeped. So decided to give Boba Break Tea House another try on a Saturday afternoon, my husband and I came by here around 2:30 pm. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Large Dirty Milk Tea, $5.75, prior to tax- My husband ordered this drink, which is a brown sugar milk tea. He requested it to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. This tea was bitter, most likely from the tea being over steeped again. My husband thought this drink had a weird chemical after taste too. Large Suit and Thai, 5.75, prior to tax- This drink is made with half milk tea, half Thai tea and came with egg pudding. I requested this drink to be made with no ice and also 50% sweetener. No surprise here, but my drink was also bitter that I suspected was over steeped tea leaves. The drink itself also tasted pretty horrible. The flavors mixed was so off and had such a odd chemical taste, like my husband's. --------------------------- (Total= $12.68 after tax) Now having had Boba Break Tea House twice... I just don't think they can make a decent cup of tea with their tea being so bitter. I drink a lot of tea and I mean a lot (in fact I am drinking tea now as I am writing this review), same with milk tea. There are many tea houses that seem to have this problem with over steeping their tea, which ruins the flavor of their drinks. Sadly Boba Break Tea House is part of that group. This boba place offers a good number of options. If you like caramel milk tea like me, this place makes it good, and the sweetness level is also not overwhelming. They also make great brown sugar milk tea; just the right amount of brown sugar is added. Add-on-wise, they're a bit limited, but otherwise, the drink is super flavorful and satisfying. The tearista made my lightly sweetened Matcha Latte with Almond Milk with Boba correctly and her service was efficient, however my drink tasted like cereal milk which is a drink choice I've seen before but not what I ordered. This is my fave shop inside the Glendora Public Market! Staff have always been helpful and friendly and their boba drinks are consistently delicious and pretty too!! Especially the Seaside tea - it's topped with the vibrant blue Butterfly Pea tea - it's almost too pretty to drink! The tea shop is located inside Glendora Public Market (see my separate review for that). It's easy to find and is surrounded by lots of unique eateries, fun wall art, and plenty of seating inside a indie sort of food court with a hip, industrial feel to it. The Boba Break has very reasonable prices- especially for the size and quality of their drinks. As I said, my fave is the Seaside - which is a brown sugar milk tea with a lovely sea salt cream topped with that gorgeous, trendy bluish-purple Butterfly Pea Tea - just gorgeous!! But it tastes great too - nice brown sugar flavor and the sea salt cream adds a perfect amount of creamy saltiness to it! I added the honey boba and it's a great consistency and flavor as well. I do wish I had gotten it at 75% or maybe even 50% sweetness though as it's pretty sweet so keep that in mind. We also got the salted caramel milk tea with egg pudding and it was soooo good too!! Nice and creamy with tons of caramel flavor! But again, I could definitely have it less sweet. The staff have always been friendly to me and the shop is very clean with a fun IG worthy picture wall! Boba break tea house is always busy. We decided to grab a few drinks to see what they are all about. Employees were very friendly, but seem to be a little lost. They were all over the place. One girl spilled tea or boba all over herself and the floor. Didn't clean up and the other two girls working didn't seem to care ethier. We ordered 3 drinks and it took over 15 minutes to get them. Rarely do I ever find a boba spot that has decent sizes for their price, here the regular is enough to satisfy my cravings. I got the Suit and Thai with egg pudding which is perfect for my sweet tooth. They are a little conservative with their toppings so asking for extra toppings might be necessary. I like that they have big portion sizes for their teas since I like to enjoy it throughout the day, not a big fan of how sweet their syrups are, I get less sweet sometimes and the tea is decent but a bit watered down, I love that they add crushed ice into their drinks! Overall 2/5 Boba quality really killed this review, I can understand everyone has different palates so it's not a biggie if the drinks aren't to my liking. I tried it for the first time and unfortunately the quality was not good -- the classic milk tea I ordered was very watered down -- not much flavor at all, just tasted like plain non-dairy creamer. My personal favorite is the Green Thai tea because it was a medium-strength tea flavor, whereas the Seaside drink has a very mild, barely-there tea flavor to it. However, both drinks were well made and worth it to me. Don't be fooled by the height of the drink. It's wide and only costs $4.50 w/o toppings. Finally tried the boba break! It's so good! I love the large cup like this. I ordered the seaside, it's so pretty! It has brown sugar milk, with pea tea ( which turns from purple to blue after lemon juice is added), and topping with cream. The cream is not rich, but for sure added the texture for the drink. The brown sugar milk is very tasty, the brown sugar flavor is strong. I like their variety of choices, and the price is reasonable for the portion. We have to admit, all drinks are pretty expensive now. The line comes and goes, I didn't wait in line to order my drink, I arrived at weekend night, but sometimes it has a long line like 10 people waiting. We were pleasantly surprised to find this place at the Glendora public market. On a Thursday evening, the market was not busy at all, which was nice . Service was good, the girl answered any questions we had and rung us up quickly. I ordered the seaside and my friend ordered the almond milk tea. Both were very tasty and their regular size is in a wide cup which don't fit in typical car cup holders. The thing that turned us off was the boba. It was hard, almost like it was raw or old. Boba Break literally broke my heart. This is by far the worst boba ever! A majority of boba places are usually a hit or a miss. My fiancé and I get boba almost weekly and this place was beyond disappointing. We usually order two drinks and we'll like at least one of the drinks we ordered. This wasn't the case at Boba Break. We ordered the Heartbreaker and Salted Caramel Milk Tea. Both drinks were overly sweet, so sweet I could barely consume mine without my tongue going numb. The Salted Caramel Milk Tea didn't taste like salted caramel at all, and the milk tea had the weirdest aftertaste, like chalky powder. Although, I know Boba Break is still dealing with the crowds at Glendora Marketplace and working out kinks, there's still no excuse for churning out drinks that are simply not drinkable. It took 45 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I picked up my drinks from the counter. Yet I stood there to watch them make my drinks and there was absolutely no care in the world going in making these drinks. The guy making the drinks pumped massive amounts of syrup into my cup, then scooped tons of ice, threw in some lychee and it was done within seconds. He did it so quickly the seal was not on right and he had to pour out the initial drink he made into another cup to get it resealed. I'm not even sure if he knew how to make the drinks or if he was just randomly pumping syrups and mixing it with premade tea and ice. When I took my drinks home, I instantly regretted upsizing the drinks to a large, and I considered brewing my own tea at home to somehow fix these drinks, so I wouldn't have to throw them away. But I really shouldn't have to even bother thinking like this after paying almost $12. So I drove back and decided to get a refund. I have NEVER ever returned boba drinks in my life, but I was seriously so frustrated that I had to get my money back. I will definitely not be returning to Boba Break, there's major improvements that need to be made. They need to hire more staff, and staff who can actually make the drinks right. The menu is a confusing mess, they need to add a simple top 10 drinks list to help customers minimize their choices from their lengthy menu. Sadly, even though there's not many other options for boba in the area, I'll gladly drive an additional 15 min to Rowland Heights for good boba drinks. read more

Each time I've come to the Glendora Public Market I've noticed the long lines for Boba Break Tea House. Now I know why! The boba is boba-licious! We ordered two large Honey Boba Milk Tea with almond Milk. The milk had just the write amount of sweetness and plenty of boba. I would tell them to go just a little bit easy on the ice though. Even though the lines are long they move fairly quickly and your order is ready in the right amount of time. This is a great placed to cap off a meal from one of the nearby restaurants. Please be patient with the staff. The day we visited I believe our server was new so she had a bit of trouble getting our transaction processed. She eventually got it right.
