I used to love this place about 4 years ago. And I haven't had their pizza in a good time since the management changed, and tonight I decided to order some. I just got a pepperoni pizza nothing special, but I must say, it tasted HORRIBLE. Within 1 minute of it being out of the delivery mans bag it got cold. The cheese wasn't cooked all the way threw, the sauce DRENCHED the dough so bad all I tasted was 2 slices of Marinara sauce. Hell, even opening the box, looking at the pizza I could tell it was going to be disappointing and I wasn't wrong. It was so bad I would rather have driver cross town to angelos in medford, than to eat this if I knew it was going to taste this terrible, and be cold. And not to mention the ranch, not just one, but ALL OF THE RANCH, was warm, so much to the point I threw it away and didn't eat it. And for 30$?!?!?!? You have got to be kidding me. I could single handily make my own pizza and make it taste better, shit, my 12 year old baby brother could. Over priced, shitty tasting, no flavor, and cold pizza? If i had one word to sum up this place it would be GARBAGE! That is actually giving it a compliment. We ordered a Canadian bacon pizza. when we received it the pizza was extremely overcooked. We politely ask if we could possibly get another pizza. The extremly overweight cook (family of the owner?) Came to our table looking very disgruntled and asked us "what the problem is"? Taken back by his demeanor we just replied the pizza was a little done for our liking. He walked off grumbling under his breathe. We waited 45 minutes for another pizza. We were treated so poorly. I'm sitting here eating some leftover BobbiO's pizza (from last night), so it can't be that bad. Matter of fact, this is some of the better left over pizza I've had (all too often the crust either gets soggy or chewy). So it's got that going for it. I wouldn't call this place a gourmet pizza place, not by a long shot. I'm not even sure it lives up to the "east coast taste, west coast style" tag line they have on their site. Based solely on the product, it seems to be your run of the mill generic neighborhood pizza joint. And that's not a bad thing. For one, at certain pricing options you get a decent amount of bang for the buck. I found their large pizza prices to be on the high side. Their large prices (especially for their gourmet/named pizzas) are as expensive as Kaleidoscope, yet are 16" rather than Kaleidoscope's 18". Yet for just a few bucks more ($2-$4) you can upgrade from a 16" round (large) to a 24" square (family). And then you have their 30" (I'm assuming round again) "Colossal" which is more than TWICE the price of their family pizza. If I can geek out for a minute, a 16" large gives you 201 square inches of pizza. The 24" family gives you 576 square inches of pizza, more than double (almost triple) the amount of pizza for just a couple bucks more. Then you have their 30" colossal which only gives you 707 square inches of pizza for more the twice the cost of their family. Someone wasn't paying attention in math class when they were setting up the prices for this menu. The point is, you'd be money ahead (by quite a bit) buying two family size pizzas than a single Colossal. So far, I've spent a lot of time talking about how much pizza you get for your money and why their pricing makes no sense. Does that tell you anything about the pizza itself? The Mrs compared it to Papa Murphy's. I was more generous, but not by a whole lot. It doesn't seem any better (or worse) than most of the fast food pizza joints (Papa Johns, Papa Murphy's, Pizza Hut, etc). When picking up our pizza, the young man behind the counter recommended that we try their signature pizza, the White Mountain. Only, substitute the ranch sauce for something else. Which I guess basically makes it a generic sort of combination pizza (only mildly more interesting than the other combination pizza they list). And don't ask me why they only have two "signature" pizzas (at least as listed on their menu from their website). It doesn't show much creativity, which isn't necessarily a bad thing (sometimes all you want is a simple pepperoni pizza done right). Just makes me wonder: why bother? My guess is they're trying to be a gourmet pizza joint, but I have a feeling that is not something that they are going to achieve any time soon. In all fairness, I didn't try their sandwiches which I would likely do if we ever go back. Then again, they're listed a pizza joint, not a sandwich shop. One final nitpick, if you're going to have delivery then have delivery, at least for reasonable hours. I delivered for a couple years (way back when) for Papa John's, so I'm pretty familiar with what it takes to have delivery service (and how someone in the kitchen can easily pull double duty, delivering when there are orders to go out and helping out when there isn't). Sending your driver home before 7 PM on a weekend? Not cool if you're going to say you offer delivery. Long story short, they seem to be a solid neighbor hood pizza joint, with decent prices if you want to order a large amount of pizza (but not a colossal amount). This might be a good solution if you want pizza for a youth league team, and want to avoid the other common post-game-celebration pizza joints (or get a slightly better pizza out of the deal). But unless you're ordering their family sized pizza, it's too expensive for what you get, you might as well go to Kaleidoscope or another truly gourmet pizza joint. read more

Disappointed. Ordered delivery wanting to try one of our local pizza places, but had to wait a long time and pizza was not very good. Even though we were able to take advantage of the single topping special for $11.99, we ordered two pizzas and taters, and bill with tip was $35.00. Pizzas had very few toppings and little or no cheese and sauce. Almost a third of the outside of the pizzas were bare without sauce or even cheese. May or may not give it a chance again. We were traveling to Portland from Phx. It was early evening, and our stop for the night was Central Point Oregon Holiday Inn Express. We called while passing through Yreka. A young lady named Emily ( I think) was very friendly and helpful. We told her where we will be staying for the night and were STARVING! She suggested we call back when we pass through Ashland, and the timing would be perfect to accept our delivered pizza to the hotel. So passing through Ashland we called order our pizza and breadsticks, and sure enough after unloading into our room, the delivery guy was at the front desk with a fresh hot pizza, plates, and napkins. Attended two private parties that were held upstairs from the restaurant. Great place for a party! Private bathroom, soda dispenser (endless refills), big screen tv and a microwave all with a small little kitchenette. Lets talk about their PIZZA!!!! OMG its AMAZINGLY GOOD. Loaded with toppings, the crust is soft but crunchy. Their white sauce pizza is soooo good. The Chicken wings are GOOD too. You wont be disappointed hosting a party here. I ordered a taco pizza and some taters online for delivery. As soon as I placed my order, I called and asked them to include some extra sides of salsa for the pizza. I live 2.3 miles or a 6 minute drive from the restaurant. When the food arrived, there was none of the requested salsa and the food was all cold. Cold pizza, cold taters (which turn rubbery and nasty when microwaved). I ended up having to put everything in the oven for about 15 minutes. This was my first experience with Bobbios and will likely be my last. For the record, once everything was heated up, it tasted pretty good. Bobbio's is hit or miss. It can be my family's favorite, and our "treat" pizza (it costs a lot more than others). Sometimes it has too much cheese (odd complaint, I know!), other times it has too little. No consistency in either pizza or cheese bread sticks. Sometimes it need to be cooked a little more at home to get the bottom crust done, or else it's too brown. Or, it can be "off" somehow. The last one was "off." Either they changed the ingredients, or something was literally "off," as in gone bad, because several family members noticed it tasted different. It may have been the pepperoni. One person took one bite, said it tasted like cheap frozen pizza (it did taste like cheap pizza, I think some frozen ones are better than this was), and didn't eat any more. For a large pizza and bread sticks it was nearly $30, so it was a big deal to have people not even eat it. I called the CP store to ask if they changed their pepperoni or something, telling the woman what we thought. All I got was a, "Not to my knowledge." No apology. No "I'll mention it to the manager/owner." No, bring it back and we'll make another (remember this was a $30 purchase)." No, "Let me take your number and have the owner/manager call you." Just, "Not to my knowledge." NOT good customer service! They do realize how many pizza places are in the same neighborhood, right? What I'm saying here it, this pizza was bad. Not like when you go to a new place and it's a different taste and you might think you like it or not. This pizza tasted bad. I can't afford to risk another $30 just in case it was a one time thing. Literally created a Yelp account because of my experience tonight. I called in an order, the guy on the phone says, "well there's a few orders ahead of yours but since yours is small, I'll get it in right away". So I show up 10 mins later to pick it up( 10 mins is all it takes to cook what I ordered. Ordered it multiple times) and end up sitting there for 25 minutes. So we are at 35 mins now. I catch the guys eye and he let's me know it's on it's way out. 10 minutes go bye and he says 30 seconds till it's out. Another 5 minutes go bye and we lock eyes again and he says, "oh, too thought I gave you your food already". This guy(in the red glasses) was obviously lying to me trying to stall. Asked for a refund, they claimed it wasn't showing up on their end. I called and went in to show proof that I was charged for an order I never received. Our first time dining at Central Point Bobbio's was an excellent experience. The friendly manager at the counter greeted us warmly and made our first time there special. He explained the menu, highlighted popular items, and gave us two different complimentary appetizers to try. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the pizza. The ingredients were fresh and the Italian sausage was the best we've had. Very authentic and not greasy. I have some food allergies, so I ordered the chicken wings. They were BBQ'd to perfection! FYI: they have gluten free crust available! They are also working on putting together vegan and yeast free menu items!!! The "taters" are a cross cut french fry that is seasoned and baked, not fried. The flavor was amazing. My husband also tried their Bobby Buns - tiny cinnamon rolls with a dipping sauce. He ate them all! The environment was family friendly and reminded me of childhood trips to the pizza parlor with my family... lots of arcade games, fun murals on the walls, two claw toy capture games, and tvs for the adults. Our server was so lovely! She brought our food to the table and was friendly and seemed very happy to be there. Another server at the counter was helpful when I went back to order a soda later. ALWAYS a massive wait and lousy service. I've come her numerous times and always the same with only one or two people in the restaurant. The place will be empty. I only come here because they have a kids play area. My last visit took 15 minutes for someone even to come out front AFTER ringing the bell, one lady said I'd be helped soon, 7 minutes until someone asked if I'd been helped- like no I'm just standing here to look like there's customers here. 20 minutes just to be acknowledged and have my order taken- with only two other people in the whole restaurant and at least 3 workers all in the back- again this wait was AFTER I rang the bell to announce someone out front. And this is repeatedly the case here. Almost 19 minutes just for cheese bread- 1 order and nothing else. Can't imagine what it's like when it's a full Friday night or something. The only I come here because of the play area for kids and after taking the kids to the library.
