As well as offering a repair service there is a wide array of musical instruments in the store, from saxophones to electric guitars and a great selection of music books with which to learn from. A very busy musical lessons facility also operates in this establishment teaching singing and guitar. I have not experienced this but rates start from £16 an hour which is pretty good.

All you have to do is wander around a bit and read the posters and old newspaper and magazine articles posted in some of the shops to know that so many famous musicians have passed through here, recorded famous works in the former studios here. There are a few clubs here showcasing live music, and the street continues to serve as the epicenter for London's music scene, supplying a large percentage of the guitars, drums, and amps to musicians passing through London, at all price points. G. Noden is in a basement shop under Hank's Guitar Shop. It's a busy repair shop down a steep set of stairs. The repair shop is nothing to look at, very crowded with instruments and parts all around, but you get the sense that lots of work is being done here. I had a guitar repaired, and was very satisfied with the work. It was returned on time, when promised, and everything worked well. These guys know what they're doing. In addition, it was not expensive, so that was a welcome bonus. It reminded me of that old saying, "if you want something done, give it to a busy person."

I took this in to Noden's to have the action lowered and the guy said it would take about a week. I called back a week later and it wasn't done. Another week later, the same story, except that this time it was because someone had brought in a 'really nice Tele that needed working on'. The bottom line was that, two months later, I got my guitar back, untouched. It was under a pile of other things, still in its case, which was covered in dust. They hadn't even looked at it. The guy who worked there, an older bloke who I think was the owner, shrugged and patronisingly suggested that I use it for slide as there wasn't anything that could be done. It was like dealing with a caricature of a plumber from a Carry-on film The guitar was actually fixed in fifteen minutes by a friend who tweaked the truss rod and sanded down the saddle, making it playable at last. It felt like jobs were prioritised on prestige. Bring in a '59 Goldtop and they'll work on it day and night. Bring in anything that cost less than a grand and they're just not interested. The imminent demise of Denmark Street is a sad loss, but I can't see myself mourning the twilight of this sort of attitude.

I really love this shop, more to look at guitars than purchase guitars. There are some beautiful, rare fenders with big price tags. The shop definitely specialises in high quality instruments. The only problem, which may not be a problem for everyone, is the fact that they don't sell acoustic guitars. The staff are great, and don't mind if you just want to browse.

Wunjo is particularly good for used and vintage guitars. The good thing is, they deal with a lot of different brands such as Rickenbacker, Fender, Gibson, Martin and more. They are happy to buy your guitars as well as sell you guitars. There is nothing particularly remarkable about the aesthetic of the shop. It is quite like the other guitar shops on the street, not that it's a bad thing.

The fact he works out of his own worksop in the back on his house means his rates were also the most affordable. But don't let that fool you because he is someone with immense knowledge and skill. Not only carrying out a faultless repair as swiftly as possible but also giving me a valuable education and expanding my own knowledge on the craftsmanship behind guitars and the work he was carrying out. To top it all off upon collection he had given the guitar a clean and polish (the g9200 is a resonator and the metal plate really needed a good clean). The neck break was fixed perfectly and is now stronger than ever. And he also re aligned the height of my strings, sitting patiently and re positioning them until they sat perfectly for my own taste. So much care and attention delivered in a manner that made it feel like he was a friend I had known for years, for such a reasonable cost. I couldn't recommend his services highly enough to anyone in the local area or even much further a field who requires any guitar repair or maintenance.

The first guitar needed a clean, new tuning heads and then a tune up. Fairly simple, but very easy to get wrong. I wanted to see if it could be steel strung, but was advised against as it was possible to warp the neck over time as it did not have a brace inside. The second guitar (steel strung) needed significant work to the body as it had been dropped from a height. The advice received was clear and the price quoted was also reasonable. The work on the second guitar took a little time but it was about ensuring the best possible repair and finish. I am so happy with the work and finish, given the damage. The care and attention to detail given was exceptional and overall the sound produced from this repaired guitar is virtually identical to before the accident. Very grateful to Marino for all his help, care, attention and honesty. He checked in with me on any changes in cost and made sure I was comfortable with all aspects of the repairs before proceeding.
