Pistachio shake actually tastes like pistachio
    Alyanna C.

3.5 stars, rounding up to a 4 given the fact we're talking about airport food options. This was literally the last meal during our trip to Phoenix - a burger joint at the airport with Bobby Flay's branding. I was intrigued and wanted to try it out, fortunately it didn't make for a terrible experience! LOGISTICS Located in Terminal 4, Southwest Airlines, D Concourse (Gates 11-18) - Bobby's Burgers is a good option past security at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Can't speak for ambiance since it was a counter service restaurant in the middle of one of the terminals. There are tables around that you can use to eat. FOOD Bobby's Veggie Burger: Not a vegetarian but this looked really interesting ... and it was a good bet, because it was REALLY good. Far cry from the black bean / Morningstar burgers, the combination of mushrooms, chickpeas, and quinoa made for a filling and satisfying burger. It was meaty without being greasy and super savory. As a mushroom lover, I was a fan and would highly recommend this as a meat-alternative. Onion Rings: Do yourself a favor - eat these fresh. Don't carry them onto your flight because they will probably be soggy. That said, these were some of the best onion rings I've ever had with a caveat - they are very seasoned so if you're used to your onion rings being bland... fair warning. Breading wasn't too thick at all, very flaky, and it went really well with the buttermilk ranch sauce. Pistachio Shake: Terrible for my health, delicious for my soul. It was creamy and a nice sweet treat - you could definitely taste the pitaschio flavor. A bit heavy on the whip cream - I'd recommend trying to eat off the whip cream so you can get a cover on it. OVERALL Definitely a good spot for a quick meal at the airport if you're looking for something interesting- it's technically "fast food" but it tasted made to order and came out fairly quickly. I can't speak if pricing is more expensive for the food outside of the airport, but prices were comparable to what I was used to seeing at airports ($15+ for the sandwich) and at least they had some interesting options. I do recommend trying to eat these items fresh rather than plan on taking them on the plane. I had taken a few bites of my veggie burger, but because of the queso/veggies it got considerably soggy by the time I got on the plane (bun integrity only goes so far).

During our layover in Phoenix we decided to finally give this spot a try. We can't really speak to "ambiance" since it was in a food hall at the airport. However, it had the branding from the signage to the food packaging. Service wise, the ordering process was quick and we did t have to wait long for our food. For the food, I opted for the Veggie Burger. It was a unique take where it was a patty compiled of sliced portobello mushrooms and fried. Very cool and it was good. My only negative is that it was overly salted. Maybe I'll try the Vegas location to rule out if it was a one off with the salt.

Nacho burger to medium. Copious amounts of pico. The candied jalapeños seem to be missing some of the sweet that I expected. Hamburger bun was decent not great. Cooked perfectly with a good ground and consistency as well as flavor on the burger. Queso flavorful. Way way too many corn chips, lol. Easily rectified. If this was a $7 burger, this would be a 5* review. As-is (for $15), glad to have tried, but this is a definite-maybe.

I had a 4 hour layover in Phoenix Sky Harbor and ran into Bobby Flays burger stand. I've loved Bobby since he was on the cooking network showing off his skills so I had to try and he didn't disappoint! The burger was cooked to perfection! It had flavor and was juicy and I enjoyed the bacon and blue cheese. The onion rings were crispy and salted to perfection and I ate every last one! If I ever find myself in the Phoenix airport again, I will be back. The cashier was so nice and friendly and met me know about the menu items as well. May she be well.

I wanna say I was truly excited to see this food option inside PHX airport. It was a walk from our terminal to arrive here but we wanted a burger. One you couldn't get in KC. I ordered 1 well done Palace Classic burger with order of fries. It was a nice chunk of change. I was able to enjoy the burger, which was very seasoned. The fries were just some regular fries with lots of salt. For the price point and the over seasoning factor, I'd have to say I was disappointed. In fact it didn't sit well in my tummy.

Messy wet bun = ruined sandwich

The lady taking our early morning breakfast order was AMAZING . She was so cheerful and thoughtful she gets all the stars . Apparently she always works the opening shift at this , one of the first cafes open at Sky Harbor airport for coffee (or mochas ) However I Got the turkey sausage BREAKFAST SANDWICH. The bun was disappointingly disintegrating at the first bite . Two sausage patties were overkill as they were all you could taste . The eggs and cheese wanted to overflow and ooze out of the WET BUN with every bite ...making it impossible to eat, especially in an airport setting. It cost $20 for a mocha and sandwich, I feel lucky it didn't end up down the front of my travel clothes.

Stopped here to grab a milkshake when I was at the airport. They had a pistachio flavored milkshake and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The perfect sweet treat!

Classic burger, fries with bobby flay sauce and dark chocolate shake!
    Kim L.

This is across from the Chase Lounge, and the lounge was full, so I grabbed the classic burger, fries, and a dark chocolate shake. The fries were perfectly crisped, and the signature sauce was good, but there wasn't enough of it to go with the fries. The burger was average, there was a ton of iceberg and tomato, but just an average burger. I had it well done, next time, I would do medium. This was all $30.00 - typical for the airport.

We needed lunch before a flight and decided to grab a burger here. We in really liked it! The girl that helped us was really, really energetic and friendly. The patties are pretty large, and you can have it cooked the away you like--almost unheard of for counter service. We both got the classic burger, but there are some other great options, like the crunch burger with potato chips layered in top of the patty. I also had a Cayenne Vanilla Latte. Lots of love for that spicy little treat! It was a little on the pricey side for 2 burgers in a paper bag, 1 latte and a bottle of water ($51), but it is the airport, and to be expected. All in all, we both give it a thumbs up.

One and Done for me!!!! It is so MESSY, and heavy. I couldn't even eat half of it. Grab lots of napkins. You can't even pick it up without your hands being covered in cheese and sauce. The bacon was good and crispy. The sauce has a kick. Spicy The sandwich is HUMONGOUS. The chips, gross .... I was excited to try the chips on the sandwich but it's honestly just too much

There was a large condiments stand with wagon wheels. It is similar to chuckbox but much larger. The food was decent and the fish cooked correctly. I apologize for no pics, we were engaged in a stimulating conversation. People put food first but in today's workd, we need to spend more time talking and listening to one another. I completely forgot to take pics of the food. Overall, it is a simple smashed style of burger patty. The ambiance is lower lighting with a western aged setting. Think traditional western style. It was my first time and while not my preferred style of burger, the food is decent. This is a place that offers customizable food, TV's and it was not too noisy. The counter person was extremely helpful in offering insights and options. Enjoy your experience and wear your boots and Cowboy hat.

It has been around for DECADES and there is no question as to why it is still there. When visiting the Chuck Box know that it is cash only (ATM on-site), and super popular. There WILL be a line. The line does move extremely fast, due to the fact that the line cooks are definitely not waiting until you get to the counter to take your order. They will call out to anyone in line (regardless of where in line you are) and take your order, yelling it out if needed. It is such a unique and fun experience. The burgers are not overpriced and are phenomenal! It is self serve toppings, after you pay for your order you can go to the topping bar and add as much to your burger as your heart desires. I have had both the fried zuchinni and mushrooms and I would definitely recommend both options! Since it really popular, be aware that there is limited seating and it is crowded. To start, my burger tasted pretty good. The cheese was good. Bun was a little dry and stale. The lettuce was yellow and chopped and looked several days old and slightly rotten. Two of my tomatoes had active mold growing on them. It was too dark inside to see it but we ate in the car and saw the moldy spot then. The fries are good but way too salty. We really liked the fried mushrooms. But we made our own dipping sauce which was better than the ranch they give you: mix 2/3 mustard and 1/3 Mayo. Tangy and delicious. We get these at "The Windmill" when we go to the jersey shore and the sauce that comes with the fried mushrooms is a horseradish sauce which is amazing (hint hint, Chuck Box). I would eat here again but bring a flashlight to inspect the produce and lower my expectations. It was good, not great. It smelled kind of off in here also. The AC and vents probably need to be cleaned.
