A very quick stop to hit the ATM in the lobby area. Definitely pleasant - this store is in very…read moregood condition. Well stocked and laid out like just about every other Walgreens I've been to this year. Once inside, you wouldn't know if this was Hartsville South Carolina or Burlington Vermont. But we're here in Harrison. Personal care, cosmetics, greeting cards, candy, over-the-counter medication and a full service pharmacy, photos and more. All the usual goodies. My dr. called in in directly to avoid any problems, due to the sense of urgency. I personally couldn't get anyone on the phone over an hour after he called it in, so I just went. The lady there was the rudest person I've ever met. She had no clue who I was and said she couldn't see where anything was called in. She told me to give her an hour and she would look through her unopened orders and call me. I went home and waited 2 hours, no call. Of course, I was put on hold and couldn't speak to anyone. So I drove there again! After a very long wait with no line, I was told I couldn't get because my insurance wouldn't approve. I know is bs! After 30 min wait got that handled. Finally got my insulin, drove home only to find out, no needles. Drove back there (5 miles obtw) and same lady told me, "yea I know but dr. didn't say anything about needles so you can't have." I asked, why wasn't this explained? The same miserable lady (hates men obtw) refused to give me needles. She then refused to help me anymore. She got another lady to come help me and gave me my needles . I will never, ever go back to that place as long as I live! Obtw, never seen a pharmacist and never was able to talk to one. I could have died without the insulin and told the lady this, and she said she did not care. Unbelievable! It's astonishing the treatment I received from this place. Obtw this is a pharmacist and the drive through windows are so filthy you can barely see through them. This place needs shut down immediately! My apologies for the "novel" but people need to know to NOT GOT THERE!

I shop often at Wal-Mart, so it was pretty handy. Used the Wal-Mart pharmacy for several years, in fact. A "friend of a friend" mentioned Village Pharmacy and said it was well-run and locally-owned. That sounded good, but I wondered how their prescription prices would compare to those at Wal-Mart. Armed with my list of prescriptions, I asked the owner/manager to quote me his prices. Guess what? They basically matched what Wal-Mart had been charging me. So I moved all my prescriptions to this locally-owned business. I have never regretted that move. Unlike at Wal-Mart, the manager (and most of his assistants) know me by name when I walk in the door, ask how I've been, and begin to gather my prescriptions from their "ready to pick up" box even as I am approaching the counter. Nicer yet, they let me and my other family members pick up each other's prescriptions for one another, depending on which of us happens to be in town (we live 20 minutes drive away) that day. I doubt the pharmacy at Wal-Mart would let us do that! They are also set up for you to simply text them your prescription numbers when you want a refill, which is handy. They even have a drive-thru window (which I never use - I like getting the exercise of walking in the front door) which a lot of people DO use, and is a feature that my local Wal-Mart does not offer.
