The owner cut the keys and tried to reprogram both, but 1 was defective. I had paid $39 for both remotes and he was very reasonable to cut and program both. However, had I gone through him directly, it would have been better in the long run for OEM versions of the same type, with the Chevy logo (including cutting and programming). Yes, a little more, but these are of way better quality. Unfortunately, I am out the cost of the key cutting for the remote that was defective and the company I bought them from on the internet is unresponsive. Lesson learned... contact a good locksmith to begin with. BTW....I went ahead and purchased the OEM version as well.
