I also have to hop on the praise bandwagon for Viktor. A U-Haul issue caused us to need towing for a U-Haul trailer. U-Haul's roadside assistance was absolutely unhelpful. (We waited 8 hours and the issue still isn't resolved.) We called other tow services while we waited and they rejected our request. Viktor showed up ready to help, got the trailer on his flatbed truck quickly and easily, AND was kind and friendly through the entire exchange. He clearly empathized with our situation and wanted to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. This man is an artist with a flatbed tow truck. They said they'd send a truck right out. 3 hours later they called and said I had no tow coverage for boat and trailer. Called private tow companies and got reasonable quotes but 2-4 hour turnaround. Called BoatUS and they said they could get me for $850. 2-4 turnaround, so I called USAA. USAA assured me that they'd get me a tow, but required a very reasonable payment up front. So, I paid. After many calls and texts over the next five hours I still had no tow truck. Finally I lost patience and called a private company, Bob's Tow Service in Vallejo, and was told 90 to 120 minutes, and I said yes. Then I got a text from the insurance company and they said they found Bob's and that they'd fetch me in 120 minutes +. Well Viktor, from Bob's showed up in under 90 minutes, and after another half hour with the insurance company, they paid him. Viktor was extremely careful and thoughtful as he assessed the boat and trailer. He made a plan and methodically got the boat and trailer safely on the truck, delivered it to my home and ended up being the HERO of the day. We had the big storm in the Bay Area at the time and my 2018 Honda Civic Sport was stuck in a flood on Millbrae Ave and the entrance of US 101 South. I was stuck there for 5 hours and no one would help me not even the San Mateo County Sheriffs. Bob did what other tow companies didn't think of. Since my car was literally on the freeway entrance he passed up Millbrae Ave and backed up on the shoulder just to help me tow my car to nearby friends house. All but 100% certain they running a theft ring and preying on people with few resources. Our low value (no reason to fully cover) car was stolen after being cased the week before. Conveniently our car was left JUST over the next county line ON the side of the freeway where it would quickly get picked up at a very identifiable interchange. They had our car in impound before we even had a chance to report stolen. Our choices are to pay them more to get the car from them than it is worth or get sent to collections and ruin our credit. Its important for a tow company to hire people that actually would know how to tow a car. These guys towed my car when it was missing a passenger front wheel/tire. Because of the way they used the straps to secure my car, they bent my backing plate up against my brake rotor. They broke my ABS sensor at the wire connector behind my brake backing plate and pinched my high pressure power steering hose. Meaning that, my brakes grind, my ABS dash light is on and the ABS is not working and my car now has no power steering cause the pinch line is not allowing fluid to flow through the steering system, Think these guys will own up to any of this? Place is a total fraud. Like most towing places being scammers this place takes it to another level. Had my car towed by this company after I got in an accident. I was told a price upfront only to be told it was a different price once the guy arrived. After that the guys took 1 hour to tell me my car required another special truck due to it being flipped over. Like it takes an hour to see that.? I was then told by the tow truck driver that he would charge me 300 for his time and also to call another tow truck. So on top of the 300 I would have to pay 500 to have a guy come out and flip it over. Lastly I was told I would be charged another 150 due to it being a weekend. I mean I was being charged close to 1,000 for a simple Tow. Lastly what really pissed me of was that I was charged a cleaning fee for a guy to sweep up the broken glass. The guys took 2 hours to clean up glass that could have been cleaned in 10 min. Guy was charging me per hour for the clean up! Overall his is a scam they run 3 guys working to Rip People off with bs scams. Avoid them and don't pay they threaten to send your stuff to collections and never do. My right rear tire had a severe hole, my rim was scratched up, needed a wheel alignment, and my bushings (rear, right) trailing arm needed replacing. I would not recommend them ever. If I could no star I would this man should not be able to run a business. My car was stolen from my home earlier this week. Today it was recovered by the sheriff's department. The Sheriff's department mistakenly gave me the wrong tow yard as to where my car was located telling me Bob's tow had my car so I called Bob's tow to confirm 3 separate times that my vehicle was there, the pick up time and the fees owed. The man was rude from the moment I spoke with him explaining to me that they don't tow for free regardless of whether my car was stolen or not but confirmed with me that the car was there so I had my AAA tow service on the way to his location to pick up the vehicle as was I. Once I got there the gentleman could not locate my vehicle and was completely rude to me. He began to cuss at me seeing my frustration that he gave me the wrong information and started telling me to shut the fuckup as I was asking if I should have the tow cancelled and to stop fucking yapping even though he confirmed with me that my car was there when it was never towed to his location at all. He assumed my car was the car that was told there because another vehicle was towed from the sheriff's office and he was to lazy to make sure it was the same vehicle. It was not! I spoke to him recently and he was kind enough to come all the way to my house and in return he gave me a Starbucks gift card as a token of his appreciation. There are enough upset people here to come together and convince the City of Vallejo and all other law enforcement agency to remove Bob's Tow from their vendor contract. The Better Business Bureau should also take action on this company. Friday the 13th back in October of 2017, my car burned down on I-780 near Glen Cove. Long story short, I went to their yard with pink slip on hand (save them the trouble of lien sale or just to get closure) to retrieve some of my stuff and was told I needed to settle my bill before I can proceed. The car was not impounded so the $ 574.00 that I had to pay was for the tow and 3 days of storage. I asked if there is anything they can offer up and was told "we can tack on another 2 bills more for disposal. After paying them the 574, and before being allowed to go in, they gave me this paper that states I cannot remove anything that is mounted on the car in any way, shape or form. If I had a $1.00 bill stapled to the seat, then I cannot retrieve it. This was at a time when Napa and Sonoma were burning. I just said to myself, "it could be worse since all I lost was an old beater". Imagine being a Napa or Sonoma fire victim and getting raped by this outfit after having everything burned down.
