Small owner-operated shop on the main street in Boca. Karla obviously loves what she's doing and her enthusiasm is infectious. She makes the entire trip an adventure and she's also a top-notch divemaster and instructor. She knows every square foot of the ocean floor for miles around and will pick the best spot to dive on whatever day you go. We also saw a pod of 3 whales on our return trip, up close, and followed them for maybe 10 minutes. Her prices are very reasonable and her equipment is in great shape.
As an aside, if you're staying in Puerto Vallarta, there's a public bus - for only 10 pesos as of 01/19! - that will take you pretty much right to her door. Take any city bus to the south side of PV, then make your way to the corner of Basilio Badillo and Calle Constitución. The bus to Boca stops there. Painted white, with a reddish brown stripe and it will have Boca de Tomatlan and/or Mismaloya on the front. Take it all the way to the end and Boca Divers is on the right on the street leading down to the harbor. Call in advance. read more
