Think of a low scale Perkins Rowe with more of a family feel and that's what the Town Center at…read moreCedar Lodge is in a nutshell. It's nothing short of a manufactured village / neighborhood, geared around plenty of shopping. I guarantee if you're not a woman or a child with no desires other than some milk, you might find the place a tad boring. The folks running the joint love to sell the idea that it's lifestyle shopping, which thankfully also means there is going to be a variable mix of random stores catered to different interests. The setup is remarkably easy and surprisingly peaceful, and quite clean. With respect to the shopping lineup, it's completely clear this place is meant more for the ladies than they are for the guys. There are more than twice as many stores geared toward women (Ann Taylor, J. Jill, Eros, Febe, Lane Bryant etc), than there is for men. Aside from American Eagle Outfitters, Gap, and perhaps Al's Formal Wear, the pickens get pretty slim for my fellow brethren. But fear not, since most guys don't enjoy aimless shopping (keyword: aimless), there is a decent crop of eateries situated here. Carrabba's, Bonefish Grill, Zoe's Kitchen might all passable options, though I encourage most everyone to avoid PF Chang's and Qdoba like the devil, but it beats having nothing else. If you happen to be among the targeted demographic, go crazy here. If not, there is always the Mall of Louisiana (delinquent central) or Perkins Rowe (semi-delinquent central). Just don't let that insane Baton Rouge 9% sales tax catch up to you.

This kind of shopping center is the future. Not the enclosed mall that made it big in the 1980's,…read morebut an open air shopping experience that you can actually park near the store you want to shop at instead of having to park and trek in to the mall, not remembering exactly where the store is that you want to shop at inside of the enclosed mall, trekking thru the mall to find what you are looking for, getting what you need, drag it back to your car and the whole monotony that goes along with that. You get the idea. Any way. This series of mini strip malls has got it all going on. Book store, clothing stores for men, women and children, a variety of chain restaurants, jewelry stores, a drug store, a hotel nearby, multiple entrances and a Whole Foods. The parking spots are plenty as are the sidewalks. It is well lit at night, and nice decorations at the holidays. The landscaping is well maintained and there are no major obstacles. The area seems to be a nice area, though I am not familiar enough with Baton Rouge to really know for sure, but I get the feeling that not much crime occurs in this area.

I have a love / hate relationship with most malls out there, and Mall of Louisiana is no different…read more I love that they have several different main retailers anchoring the establishment, and the stores on the inside provide a wide variety of merchandise and services. The outdoor strip is also very nice. Parking is overall pretty safe. I often see security making the rounds, which is nice. And years back when I had a scary experience, a security guard walked me to my car and ensured my safety. There are a lot of older people who feel safe to walk around the mall for exercise which is also very nice. Stores come and go, and the internet has made some in-store shopping a bit less of a value, but i still enjoy visiting. They make it a point to keep it clean in there too. They have a large maintenance staff always walking around to fix things, clean things, and check different areas. The food court is large and the carousel is fun for kids and adults alike.

Hello brother and sisters,…read more Today I just wanted to tell you people out there what disgusting, and horrible behavior these people have at this mall!! The mall was great I came in, the store workers were nice, helpful, and all smiles. Everything there was hung neatly, clean, and good prices. I was having a great time at this mall until I got hungry and decided to get some yummy chick-fil-a to treat my stomach. I walked and got in line with my friend Lauren. We waited a couple minutes until it was our time to order.. As i was ordering my meal I had some struggles getting what i wanted. She then turnt around to the women that was supposed to be cooking, and making orders and started to laugh. As I was waiting on my order to be fixed i stood to the side of the line to wait on Lauren. I noticed that the lady that was supposed to be fixing my order was taking pictures of the sauces! Then she proceeded to walk grab the ice-grabber and get some ice. I thought it was the ice that was going to go in my sprite, but no! She walked up to this lady that was just standing not doing anything and put the ice IN HER PANTS and started to laughI thought that was absolutely disgusting. But then something even more disgusting happened she then took the ice-grabber out of the lady pants and grabbed more ice and put it in my sprite cup. I was disgusted I didn't even want to eat anymore.

Mike produced poor communication speaking to younger employees like they aren't human. Mike is an older bald headed black unethical "man". I will not be returning to this location. Until he is not present. I am a very loyal customer. But Mike needs to be checked. This is saddening I have heard things about the "side business" being orchestrated at this location. That there was a lot of sheisty things going on so the location needs to be evaluated regardless before its more than just people quitting.
