This is my first time trying this place and it was really good I just felt like it was overpriced. I am from Las Vegas I am used to paying for drinks but I just think it's ridiculous that gratitude is added already and that's just for the bartender and then your still going to expect me to add more for the waiter. The waiter was really nice he checked on us twice which i think is a good number. But I think it's crazy that the restaurant charges $3 for half a slice of avocado it's over price I am pretty sure there is something similar for a better price point. Ordered delivery Eat24. Food arrived on time and well packaged, warm. The food was incredible. I had the Lomo Saltado with fries and plantains. The fries were fresh, not soggy! The fried rice with chicken is filled with large amounts of meat. A must order. Ask for extra sauce. I got the crepes for dessert. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants until today. I went with my daughter, was seated by the hostess(very nice). I noticed not to many people (a little after 5pm). My daughter and I waited for about 10 to 15 minutes NOT even one server I noticed two working) came to our table to even bring us water. I noticed there was a lady who came right after us, sat down in high chairs by where meals are prepare;right away server (male)approaches her, brings her water and then some wine. I've been coming to Bocas Brickell since its inception, even celebrated my birthday dinner there (last year) never did I have a complaint.. UNTIL TODAY. Once i told the hostess i was leaving, she looked embarrassed and stated there was a miscommunication with servers and sections or what not. My experience @ Bocas Grill Brickell was horrible. The hostess was very rude and unapologetic. Walking in at 3pm the place was 1/2 empty and told me that there no tables available that were all "reserved". After talking to another person they managed to get one of the dozen tables available and let me seat. The food is nothing especial, tipical Venezuelan food (arepas,shreded meat,plantains etc.) that you can eat anywhere in Miami for half the price $$$. Actually 2 blocks down the road "Budare Bistro" offers better more tasty food for less $ Don't think I'm ever coming back to this place and honestly cannot reccomend it. read more

They have great lunch specials! On top of which you don't have to worry about parking because the valet is free with your purchase. Very disappointed!!! My wife has been following this restaurant for a very long time, but we live in Houston. While visiting friends and family in Miami, decided to go for dinner here and check out the place. Food was not bad, but it was very, VERY overpriced. Ordered a $75 dish which was about about 80-90% of sides, while the other 20-10% was a "little bit of chicken" and a "surprisingly small" T-Bone steak. It really was a surprise because it was advertised as a 16oz steak. Also, the arepas served as a side should've go with butter, not with Guacamole. The Yucca was small, hard and undercooked. In general, for that amount I believe I could've gotten a way better experience somewhere else. The servers were very polite and willing to give their best for the customer. They are the only reason I am giving this place 2 stars. Definitely not coming back. read more
