This is a four and a half star review because I just can't give them five stars because we've eaten…read moreat other places in Argentina that tasted a smidge better. The prices are higher than most but they do age their beef. These people are vertical - they grow their own cattle, the bottle their own wine and they have a restaurant. So you know that they are controlling their costs very well. All that being said the staff was very friendly, the bread basket, olive oil and balsamic brought out at the beginning were very tasty with three different types of bread. They offer 2, 3 and 6 course tasting menus. Some of the items were not the most expensive or nicest so we decided to go a la carte. We started with the salmon ceviche and the beef carpaccio. Both were excellent. The salmon was tender with very bright acidity and large leaves of frisée. The carpaccio was the most tender I have ever had in my life. The beef had very good flavor, it had nice large shards of grana padano, a couple of very large leaves of arugula which perfectly balanced the yogurt dressing and the aged balsamic drizzle around the plate. For our entrées we had a 450 g ribeye - ojo de bife- which was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. It was a little strange because it was bone in on two sides and we have not seen that before in the US. We also had the skirt steak with smashed potatoes. Potatoes had a crispy skin and creamy texture in the center. The skirt steak had to be close to 12 or 14 ounces of skirt steak folded over itself like a snake on the plate. It was cooked perfectly to medium/medium rare and had good flavor. On the table they have three different kinds of coarse salts. One looked like a pink Himalayan salt, the other one looked like a Hawaiian black salt, regular course table salt and then coarse ground black pepper.

Had a chance to visit this winery while in Mendoza, Argentina. There is also a restaurant inside the winery where you can make reservations. I enjoyed my time here.

My friends and I had rented bikes from Mr. Hugo's and this winery was on the map they had given us…read more We bikes all the way there and it was a really nice and lovely winery. There was a big vineyard with adorable green grapes next to the building. It's just a self guided tour that you go through. Then you go upstairs for the wine tasting. There's a nice indoor area but it was a beautiful (but hot) day, so we sat outside in the patio, which had a great view of the vineyard to one side and on the other you could see a little bit of the mountain range. There are 3 tasting options. With the first one, you can try any 3 of their regular varietal wines. With option #2, you can try any 2 of their varietals and their Pleno reserve. Their third option is the premium tasting with what I assume are their special wines. We were a group of 3, so we opted to do the second tasting. We each picked a different varietal so we got to try all six and shared! The varietals are Malbec rose, merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines were quite good and the ambiance was nice. You can also order food, like sandwiches. (Don't try to eat your own food here.) Salud!!!

People might enjoy this if they havent been to Napa or Sonoma or Niagara wine or the Loire Valley…read more But so far the bike path to get here was not lovely rollinghills or relaxing: it was a main road with construction trucks passing us with dust, and the outdoor food and wine tasting area overlooking the pretty vineyard has tons of flies. I was swatting the flies nonstop and one still managed to fall into my sister's glass. They gave us a new one but I mean I don't think anyone should be swatting flies in a vineyard in the first place. The canneloni was ok not good or bad I could eat it again but don't prefer it. The wine poached pear was great though (yay! Ending on a good note!)
