    MILANESA DE POLLO
    Christina D.

First time eating at a Peruvian restaurant and oh my goodness I loved it! We called a few hours before for a reservation for 8 people on a Saturday night at 7:30pm and they had a spot for us. I believe they have seating in the back for larger parties! The portions are huge and I would recommend sharing if you're not so much of a heavy eater. We got the Milanesa de pollo which was bomb paired with the pesto pasta! Service was great, the servers knew their menu and ingredients so well. My friends ordered the ceviche which was delicious and one of their most popular! Our other friend ordered the lomo saltado which was great but just a little salty in my opinion. However, overall we loved it and would definitely be a place to recommend other friends to go to.

Great Peruvian food! We came here to celebrate a birthday and they did a great job accommodating a large group! We ordered sangrias for the table and they were amazing!! The waiter was very attentive and continued to check in and ensured that everyone in the group was well served! We ordered various dishes including the lomo saltado and genuinely you can't go wrong w any of the plates. They are large portions, I believe you can share one plate between two people. I'd recommend family style ordering for this place. Really pretty place a nice a warm atmosphere perfect for a birthday or a celebration! Would recommend! Rating: 9.5/10

I came with my friends on a Thursday night and got seated immediately. We were all craving lomo saltado - it was generously portioned and tender. We also got the yuca fries with the yellow creamy sauce which was our favorite. My only issue was that a questionable stand of a few dessert cookies were out in the open air and in reach of customers by the front door, which if it's not complementary, I don't see why it wouldn't at least be covered and properly handled.

First time here and planning on returning. The food is authentic but you have to be patient, it is truly cooked to order. The ambience is casual but a good drink like the pisco sour makes the wait go by easy. Had the lomo saltado, a staple of any Peruvian restaurant- loved the tender beef and veggies were fresh complimenting the dish. The chancho was my favorite, crispy suckling pig with tender , juicy meat- what's not to love. Skin was crunchy, with a hint of sweetness in a good way. This dish is only available Friday through Sunday- this will definitely make me return quicker.

My group and I loved the food we had here. Service was quick and server was attentive. Ambiance is also nice. Highly recommend!

First time customers Family went to have lunch for Mother's Day. Nice decor, friendly service and big servings. We ordered two appetizers to share in addition to the individual orders. Food we ordered were all good. Servings are big so we ended up taking home some leftovers overs. Will come back and bring the rest of the family. It seems the place can accommodate a big group.

2/12/26: Lights! Camera! Acción! My gorgeous girlfriend surprised me with tickets to the Jennifer Hudson Show for a pre-Valentine's LA Road Trip! After our continental breakfast at our hotel before the show, plus some pre-show vending machine snacks, and awesome albeit lengthy live tv show experience, we were ready to yell "CUT!" on the day & head to dinner! Vibe check: synchronicity! While perusing Yelp for places in Pasadena, we decided we were in the mood for either ramen or lomo. We instinctually chose the latter & went with Peruvian food. Enter Bodegon No 69! Ready for its close up, it did not disappoint! From our guest starring hostess who offered us the cozy, romantic table in front, to our special guest server who recommended the Pisco Sours as an adlib to our initial martini request. It worked! Leave it in the script! As we spoke about the phenomenal Taraji P Henderson's appearance on the show earlier, we eyed our Hidden Figures...the Starter Menu! Choclo Serrano & Causa Limena to the set! The double C combo satiated our hunger pangs instantly! Bravo to the Best Supporting Cast! A climactic scene was building, as we locked eyes, while planning our future over strong drinks and even stronger chemistry! Still got that spark! Enter our stars: Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina! Oscar worthy flavor & plentiful portions of food! Deliciosity (is this even a word?!) thy name is Bodegon No 69! Chill vibe, good service, great food, and a divinely stunning co-star who shines brighter than a champagne supernova in the sky! TL:DR - Find someone you can love like crazy and who will love you the same way back.

This place is solid--but not life-changing. First off: get a reservation it can get crowded Bottom line: tasty food and worth a visitl with a great vibe for friends or even date. I enjoyed it.

Delicioussss meal and pisco sour for a Friday night dinner date. I've never satinside since you can sit outside but the decor inside seems lovely as well. Server was courteous and friendly.

The food here was genuinely delicious, bold flavors, well-prepared dishes, and overall a great dining experience from a culinary standpoint. Service was also good. Our server was attentive, kind, and did his best to make sure we were taken care of throughout the night. That said, this isn't the best spot for a larger group or a special occasion. We were celebrating my parents' 47th anniversary, and while we didn't mind being seated about 20 minutes late, the seating itself was disappointing. We were placed in a back room with dim lighting and long, shared tables that made it difficult to get in and out, especially if you were seated in the middle. The space felt cramped, poorly ventilated, and appeared to double as a storage area, which took away from the celebratory feel. They also ran out of Coke before 8pm, which was a bit surprising. Overall, the food and service really carried the experience, which is why I'm still giving 4 stars. I'd absolutely come back for a date or a small group (4 or fewer), but I wouldn't recommend it for a memorable celebration or larger party.

The food was so delicious and very flavorful! Portions were large as well and shareable. We went on a Saturday night but it wasn't too busy and we were seated promptly. The lomo was full of flavor and well cooked. The ceviche was bright, fresh, great amount of spice (we ordered medium). The variety of mocktails was nice to see as well. Already thinking of returning!!

We been here a couple of times with my daughter, we can most of the time just walk in.. Very nicely decorated, friendly staff, And the food is amazing !!! We got bathe Lomo Saltado Yumm and a glass of red wine . More than enough for us. Definitely will come back again

I came back to try other dishes with my my friends. It was pleasant surprise with the ribeye with pesto pasta. The steak was cooked to medium rare, tender, and delicious. The fried rice with shrimp needed a little more flavor, so not too bad. What we all didn't like was the Peruvian corn. It was too chewy and it lacked flavor. If I came back, I would stick to the steak with pesto pasta and lomo saltado.

Parking is in parking structures throughout this area but watch out for the one way streets. They do not validate. Parking is cheap though. Started off with the calamari, oysters aguachile and guacamole. Calamari - My favorite of the appetizers. Very lightly breaded. Not overcooked. Small but shareable amount. The red bell pepper sauce dressed underneath is deep in flavor. This was a solid dish. Guacamole - Now being a guac connoisseur I found this guac pleasant. Creamy, a little limey, good flavors. Topped with cotija and I'm pretty sure cotija was present within the guac mix itself. Nice touch. Could have used a little heat tho. Plantains ehhhh were okay. Even though the tostadas were thinner I preferred those over the plantains. Oysters Aguachile - Aight. Fresh. Aguachile mix on top could have had some heat and more true aguachile notes like cilantro, onion. But still fresh and a nice appetizer. Arrachera (skirt steak) - Delicious. Definitely a big plate. I opted for veggie mix instead of the rice to go for more low carb. Very good. The steak was cooked perfectly. Well seasoned. Spring mix was a nice touch to have something lighter. Service was very prompt and friendly. I forgot our waitresses name but she was very nice. Definitely will be back. One thing about the dishes overall is that they did stay in their lane. I didnt find them exploring too much like differences or going in a certain way. Everything was executed perfectly and what you would expect. I sampled the birria and mole enchiladas. Those made me feel like yeah this is the way they should be made. And Im only a fan of specific moles.

The corn flour dough is salty and moist, almost the consistency of mashed potato, but is crispy on the outside. While good, the garlicky fried pork filling did not appeal to me so much. The cheese-filled one had a huge serving of chilled shredded and jack cheese inside. It was plain and the cheese not melted, but I really thought this one was the more delicious of the two. Shredded beef platter. Loved the tomato-ey sauce it was stewed in. Very rich tasting, and the meat was very tender. I would kill for the fried Plantains. These came with the platter and were ripened to a sweetness that is uncomparable.. Loved them. Black beans, well seasoned also came on the plate. Loved them, too! It was a real treat eating them mixed with the plain white rice and the overflow of gravy from the meat. A great choice. I am completely incapable of passing by an empanada opportunity. So, we ordered just 1 beef empanada which the owner made on the spot because she had run out. Big and showy. We had hoped for the spicier ground beef version, but instead, it was filled with the same tender, beautifully seasoned beef as the beef platter, but without the tomato sauce. The dough was fried, but had a different consistency than Cuban and Mexican empanadas, not tender or flaky as I had hoped. I would liken the texture closer to the heavier texture of a chinese sticky, rice flour even though it is probably made from corn flour. I was not in love with this dough, even though the shredded beef inside was tasty and generous. This is a very cute place with a very big heart. The owner is a lovely person, and was taking in generous donations, huge boxes of necessities to send to the victims of the massive earthquakes in Venezuela, June 2026.

No matter as it was spot on great. The Chicken Chef was not chicken and got it right. The Sauteed Spinach retained it's Spinach integrity and was fished out of the water while still slightly toothy. Excellent. The Kitchen elevated Spinach beyond Pop-Eye's power surge urge. This was beyond just a Side Dish. Vegans, have at it. The Roasted Potatoes were also good enough to enjoy as a Main. Really crunchy nuggets with creamy centers. This place not only offers fine comida de la gente, the restaurant is efficient but doesn't rush. Want to enjoy sobremesa? (relaxing time after dinner to discuss politics, religion, sex and gossip about the people you've just dined with). Sobremesa (literally means around the table) is a charming and civilized concept. Spanish culture doesn't like to hurry. So share the sad, glad, mad personal issues that go best after Dessert. Malbec, prings back sweet memories of a morning Cortado and a Media Luna at Oriente Coffee Bar. Malbe, I'll be back.

And for meats went with Tabla por Dos. Lamb and Ribs. Both meats were tender and flavorful. For sides, ordered their Potato and Grilled Veggies. The server was friendly and we had a great time here.

I didn't know Holbox existed until I had the lucky opportunity to see them win the Michelin star,…read morewhich then put them on the radar for me. If you're like me and you have a list of restaurants, you want to try I pray they don't disappoint me. Holbox DELIVERED! My cousin said she loved the place and she is less picking of me so I was like OK. There is a baseline which means it's gotta be at least good. I'm not gonna lie. I eat a lot so I tend to be a bit more critical if I actually love the quality of a place. Everything here hit it was so fresh! Highlights for me included the scallop taco, the Uni by itself, the tuna ceviche. In truth, you really can't go wrong. The guy that was telling me what to order said that and I was shocked, but he's right anything you order will be amazing. I also love that there is the bar seating so you can watch them prep everything or you can always order and then bring it to any of the communal table areas. PS. Beware of how spicy all the sauces are.

We decided to show up about an hour early to checkout the place. It opened at 11:30 am and there…read morewas already a line at 10:30 am!!! All the counter seats were taken and we were 3rd in line. The staff was sitting around, chilling, eating and getting mentally ready for opening. By the time they opened the line was out the door and around the corner. They promptly opened and began taking orders. You order at the counter, pay, they give you a number, sit anywhere and they bring you the food and takeaway the empty plates. Our food came out in stages, which I liked, and fairly quickly. I especially liked the authenticity of the place. It's a food court with charm and character: Everything was fresh and tasty. The highlights for me were the ceviche mixto, branzino, pulpo a las brasas and the freshly made purple corn tortillas.
